This was a long time bookmark that I knew one day that I would stop for a beer and wings because I like to do that once in a while. The place is spectacular and nothing like your parents bowling alley because it's modern and shiny/clean and really a family fun destination with a huge open bowling alley, game room that's closed off probably for C19, a dark alley with laser lights, bar, restaurant etc etc. The woman who served me was friendly and took care of me right away. They have a nice little bar in the dark alley section that has a few taps so I ordered the angry orchard that was cold and refreshing on a summer day. I was going to get out of my comfort zone of buffalo wings and get a different flavor today so I ordered the garlic Parmesan for a change that was sauced and came with a blue cheese dipper and celery/carrots. I have to say that for a bowling alley the wings looked impressive and not the skimpy small ones with approximately 10 wings and they smelled amazing. My first thought after my first bite was that these wings are fuc#ing delicious with a nice crispy shell. The wings were meaty, moist, and cooked perfect with no rubbery/stringy meat like some places serve. The blue cheese sauce was a little different but still good. In all honesty I have to say that the wings that I had today was some of the better wings that I have had and better than some of the hyped places on the Milwaukee best wings list that disappointed me. That list still amazes me because Milwaukee has some hidden gems when it comes to wings that have no mention anywhere. This is an easy stop on my way home from work so this just might be my go to wing place out of convenience but it didn't topple my favorite wing place but it's right there. read more

The place was clean and playing great jams all night. When we arrived we asked if there was any bowling deals and the worker said no so we paid for our 2 games. We wanted to add a third so went up and saw they had an unlimited bowling sign up after we had already paid for 3 games. So we had paid 2x the cost we should've. Felt like we were being upsold. We came on a Sunday for my 7&8yr olds first time, expecting things not to be busy. Tyler D. was on the only visible person at the front and got us set up on two lanes, warning us of possible technical problems with one lane. Shortly after our first game, it got insanely busy. Tyler was literally running around- from addressing guests concerns, to running the front desk/getting people set up on lanes to running out food. We did end up having problems with our Lane but Tyler and the mechanic did what they could to get the problem fixed. When it still wasn't working, Ashley helped to get our situation fixed, apologized and gave us passes to try again another day. Even through the mechanical issues and food wait weren't fun and kind of frustrating, Tyler and Ashley left us with a great experience! We will definitely be back! read more

I've been coming here multiple times over the years, including for a couple of birthday parties for kids. It keeps getting worse. Today, rainy sunday afternoon, the place is empty. Why? No lane bumpers for kids, every lane is broken, Shoes are worn out with old broken laces, every ball has a million little cracks and pock marks in it, food is inedible, filthy carpets and bathrooms, 2/3s of the arcade games are gambling for useless tickets. Came here tonight and I've never been treated better as a customer anywhere! Made a lane reservation for 2 people for 2 hours. When we arrived Tyler and Malachi greeted us so nicely and let us know we were upgraded to a VIP lane with unlimited bowling. Throughout the night Malachi continuously checked in on us to make sure we didn't need anything. When we were finally done and returning our shoes, Tyler thanked us for making a reservation and gave us a thank you card with a free bowling coupon. I have worked in the guest services industry for over 20 years now and tonight we went to JB's and I have to say it was so disappointing to watch the staff member get pulled in so many different directions. She was running food, making drinks, checking people in, doing shoes and she was all alone. I can't believe I watched something so horrible happening to one person and that it doesn't seem like anyone cared to help her. A guy came in to help her later she must have called someone and that was nice to see but I mean wow a woman to be there alone with the clientele that frequents here is insane and I don't think that's safe at all. On the other hand she did all she could do with what she was given. I suggested that she find a new job where she was able to have help. This place is also disgusting, stains all over the floor, a bad odor, broken lanes, I can't believe you charge so much for this disgusting ran down place. The few times I've been here I've seen two people getting their asses kicked and running around trying to make it work. How can one person do all of this in a place this big. I remember undercover boss the bowlero episode and I have to say this is way worse than that episode. I would never come back here and I feel so sorry for the employees that have to put up with this, y'all can find other jobs where you are respected as human beings, this is not the place, you can do better. This place has gone downhill since new ownership in November. Out of food consistently. No tap beer for 3 weeks. Buckets of beer went from 6 bottles to 5 for the same price. I came here with a birthday party. The parking lot was a disaster - an accident waiting to happen. Went inside and there were kids running around everywhere. Granted, it was around 7:30pm on a Friday night but these were little kids. Lots and lots of little kids until we left around 10pm. Anyway, the group had 2 lanes rented. I found it odd one must rent by the hour here. We had 6 people per lane and couldn't even get through 1 game in an hour. I understand there was some chit chat but I'd rather just pay per person per game than per hour. The bowling alley was packed - every lane full. There was a VIP type lounge area. They do serve food and have a bar. I wouldn't recommend this bowling alley on a busy night like a Friday or Saturday. It wasn't totally bad though as it was pretty clean despite the traffic. Never Again! I made reservations for the " Glow in the dark" bowling for a party of 6. No one mentioned needing a mask, so right off the bat we all ran late scrambling. The attitude from the staff was so bad I almost walked out at that point! The music was SOOOOO loud you couldn't hear what anyone was saying within our group. It was also the choice of music, not in english which made it worse. We had not been bowling for years and no attempt was made to help guide us even when I asked questions. Shoes were just plopped in front of us and we and we had to fend for ourselves. The upgraded area was only dim lit with the pins illuminated. A complete joke. We ended up leaving 40 minutes early from our pre purchased minimum of 2 hours. I won't even mention the food which was horrible, just in general a waste of 160 dollars! Just had to add... they claim to sanitize, doing their part as a small business... do you know how many bowling balls our party of 6 tried, and then returned to the rack! This aging facility is full of memories and will frequently still offer a great time... Except when it comes time to pay the bill. After the recent acquisition of JB's by Bowlero, customer costs have skyrocketed. I visited this establishment prior to the take-over and prices for concessions were about 60-70% lower than they are today. An $11 drink is now $18.14 with a mandatory 18% service charge, and yes there's still the line on the receipt to add an additional amount--should you feel inclined. When I was quoted the total for my drink, I had to ask the bartender to clarify. I balked but reluctantly paid, as I didn't confirm the price prior to ordering. Oddly the Bartender sheepishly explained that they were recently purchased by Bowlero and all prices have been raised. This is a great way to alienate a client base and ensure they don't want to return (as I was feeling when I was paying the bill). This move was ill informed considering we are coming out of a pandemic and businesses should do everything they can to make customers feel welcomed, and not taken advantage of. read more

Nice place for family fun, for reference the entrance is under the awning. We went on a Wednesday night which is their wing special .75 each and 2 games with shoes $6 per person. It is a bit loud in there and the plastic slides they use to help the kids bowl are a little cheap. My daughters ball never went straight down the lane and was disappointing to a four year old. She lost interest and ended up in the game room winning candy prizes. Surprising the wings here are pretty good, they have different wet sauces and dry rubs you can choose from. Overall it was a pleasant experience, service got slow a couple times but server was nice and handled the busy times well. We will definitely be back for wings not sure about bowling unless they can upgrade the kid ball ramps. read more

Nice appearance at first, then the ugly came out. Arcade is nice. 2 sides for bowling, 1 was dark, 1 was lit up. Worst bowling alley ever. Went on Sunday. Tried to buy a round of drinks for the adults our party which consisted of both adults and kids. Was told all the adults had to be at the bar I order to get their drinks ordered. An id alone wouldnt suffice. Well what if you have a group of 12, and are trying to order a round of drinks for adults. So everyone has to go up to the bar to get their drink ordered? Really dumb. Pushed the service button, and never got service. Tried to order food and waited for more than 20 mins and never got my order in. Only 1 bartender for the whole bowling alley to take food and drink orders when they had 3 or 4 to get people on the lanes. Also really stupid. My shoes got a little tacky so I asked if they had a pro shop. No. Did they have a bowlers vending machine? No. So I had to bowl the whole time trying to keep from falling. Well where to start, it was my nephew birthday party and the marko or mark the manager informed us that we wouldn't be able to have decorations and any other things at the bowling alley the time was Saturday april 23th at 3:30pm and was told at the time we wouldn't be able to order food for the people that weren't bowling it is now 4:30pm also marko or mark said that we were under staff but i have counted 13 people working at this time which is 4:30 pm and the bowling alley is basically is empty with six other people bowling beside us. We went on a Saturday to celebrate my sister's birthday and we had a ball. The employees were so nice, helpful and patient. The food is really good, you will get your money's worth.At 5pm there's a DJ who comes and brings a great vibe to the establishment. He was so fun and my son enjoyed him. This was my first trip to this bowling alley. I do not have anything to compare to regarding its' previous ownership or business, but from what I am told it is a complete change from the previous bowling alley. Pros: The staff is very friendly, including the managers and bartenders. The decor is brand new, warm and modern for this side of town. They do have a kitchen now (I was told they did not before) which is a plus. The somewhat private bowling section we were in was great. I could see groups of all types and sizes utilizing this space. It has a projection screen over every lane, a private bar and cocktail tables. It also allows access to pool tables, another bar and bathrooms all while being set aside from the general bowling area. Cons: I did not have much to say regarding any negative experiences while being there. The only thing I would like to see is a more unique offering of food. I understand the geographical area surrounding the bowling alley is not exactly the East Side, but I feel since they are looking to attract a more modern focused clientele they should offer more than standard pizzas and sandwiches. It was great tasting, do not get me wrong, but I would like to see a more unique offering to set themselves apart. Get your family out there, get your co-workers out there or schedule a private party. You will have a great time remembering how awesome bowling really can be. read more

Not your creepy uncle Elmer's bowling alley. JB's has invested some real money in making a former dump a nice place to bowl, or have a party. If you've been to the lanes at IPic Bayshore there are lots of similarities - big screens, computerized scoring, leather couches. It's clean, with upgraded restrooms and certainly smells less like feet than other bowling alleys. The staff is enthusiastic and friendly, though they probably want to consider having dedicated bartenders for functions as it can be slow to get drinks. Overall, it's so much nicer than other bowling alleys - worth a try! read more

We went bowling tonight at 6:30. For a family of three the only option to bowl was $45 for 1 hr. No option for one single game. Other lanes charge $4/game on a Friday but whatever...Ok.... Fine....ordered an app sampler that was sub par for $17.... Finishes 1/4 of it...wasn't very good. 7min left of our hour we were asked to close our tab bc there was a "situation." Our child wanted to play in the game room and he was told he couldn't because of an "emergency." We parked near the side entrance which was guarded by two employees and we were told we couldn't go out that exit bc of the "emergency." We asked the man who looked like a manager why we couldn't go out the side door and he said they want to keep one entry open and to keep them safe bc of the "emergency." We left out of the un-guarded entrance and around the building in the rain bc of said emergency. We spent over $100 there and were rushed out. I wouldn't recommend. read more

Bowling is bowling, the kids had a good time. Some of the rails on the alleys didn't work so we got moved to another lane twice. Restaurant, terrible! Ordered a multi topping pizza and they said it was not frozen but instead made fresh. Terrible! Flavorless. Not to mention CHEAP on the toppings! I thought it was a vegan pizza. Hardly any sausage or pepperoni. Some frozen pizzas have more flavor. Recommendation: bowling ok but go out to dinner somewhere else. read more
