The staff is great with service, not only on the food and beverage side but also to help correct any scoring or lane issues. The lanes themselves are nice. I went to village bowl and the approach was so terrible I just left. I definitely recommend joining a league even if you've never bowled before. Side note. I vape instead of smoking cigarettes. The bowling alley is vape friendly. I don't know of any other competitive social activity where I can enjoy my vape and have fun. That being said I try to be as respectful as possible usually blowing it under my table as it dissipates quickly. I can't stress enough how enjoyable joining the league was and I will be returning on Tuesday nights.

We were at group of 4 and they let us use two lanes so we could get more games in during the hour rental period. There is an area with some arcade games, as well as several dart boards and a pool table. The business has a small town feel and does not seem like anything has changed since the 70s or 80s. They have a full bar and also have a food menu. If you are in the area and looking for a quick game of bowling, especially at an odd time, check out Lucky Lanes!

Bartenders are hit and miss, as with any Brady Street establishment. Some are great and friendly, others ignore you unless they know you. The crowd can get quite boisterous and cross some lines that might cause discomfort (i.e. some regulars can get handsy or pop off with off-color statements, not jokes, statements). Drinks are on par pricewise, but they have an eclectic selection of tappers (although like most of Brady, Third Space has a strong presence). All that being said, I don't mind Malone's.

While having drinks and talking the douchebag had a disturbing laser stare on us non stop and after repeated looking at him, he continued non stop staring at us so we had to leave. I don't know what his problem was but making strangers feel uncomfortable was very natural to him and he was a pro at it. A time when everyone knew their neighbors and looked out for one another. Gordie's hasn't changed for decades. I walked in and looked like I was a "brother from another planet." There wasn't many choices on offer, so I had a Tito's and soda. "You mean a Tito's and seltzer?" "Yeah." There were four strangers in the bar at 10:30 on Valentine's night 2024. One of them yelled at me, "You must be from Whitefish Bay." I said no. I'm from lots of places, but not Whitefish Bay. By the end of the night, we were all hugging each other and showing photos of our loved ones. Gordie's was that kind of place. People looked out for each other and had a safe place to go in the neighborhood for a beer and a shot of liquor. Places like Gordie's won't last long. Go and enjoy a piece of history.

It was busy and live bands were already playing in the back. We were hoping for the green lips cocktail which featured melon liquor, chartreuse and titos but alas they were out. However the wonderful bar staff mixed up some excellent blueberry infused vodka cocktails that were incredible. The blueberry flavor really came through tasting fresh and fruity. They mixed them to order also with mine being less sweet and my daughters being sweeter and they were spot on. The crowd is mixed age and there was plenty of tattoos and black leather but my sketchers and office attire is welcome too. I would definitely come back for another cocktail and maybe listen in on a local band next time.
