Motel 6 has a saying " The lowest price of any national chain". They should add " The lousiest internet of any national chain" I try to book Motel 6 because we like to travel with our pet. I don't mind paying a little extra for internet but the code is only good for one devise. If I use the code on another computer it kicks the last one out. We travel with two tablets and two computers and the way Motel 6 internet works, it is not convenient for us. Enough about the Internet, the room... the sink will not drain, the maid did not remove the trash from the room, the water is luke warm so no shower and every morning the traffic makes it very noisy. Consider staying here only if budget or work demands it. Update: the towel bar fell off the wall when I grabbed for a towel in the shower.

Door has been kicked in a few times and a amature job at fixing, also rot that has basically paint on it to just "Cover" it.

Where to begin.....did this reservation through booking.com and went with it because of the 7.5 stars out of 10, seemed to me to be ok...picts on the site even looked ok, that's what I did wrong instead of coming to the trusted yelpers. I've uploaded some pics. These don't do justice until you see it in person, and by all means go ahead and book a room and see for yourself. Went to the Dennys next door, ( good food, but run down looking, but that's another review coming) and chatted up a few older locals, and it was brought up where I was staying....these guys didn't hold back, what a horrible reputation this place has, and it was sure confirming my short hour getting settled into our room before heading over to Dennys. The plain sight drug deals, the cars in and out ( yes I get that its a motel, but you don't have to be a genius to see and hear what is going on). The section I was in looked like it should be condemned or a major overhaul. The old locals told me that a few well known "Ladies of the Night" frequent here ALOT or even at times run a room a few weeks at a time. Was told a local gang has a lot of dealings in the motel.....left Dennys went back to the room, sat down to do some work from the office that I brought with me, and low and behold you have to pay for internet ( I frequent a decent amount of hotels/motels for work and have NEVER paid for internet, what a joke..) It is $2.99 per device, per day....ok, I was going to cave and do it because I needed my work done before I went to bed that night. BUT you have to get a prepaid code at the office to use it....I called the front office and the lady offered to "Comp. Me a code for the night, that I needed to go to the office and get it. I once again reluctantly went back out ( into the drug dealers and hookers ) to get said code. Got onto the internet and was immediately greeted by the sounds of stereo bass car competition taking place right outside my door. This went on and off for a good 2.5 hours. I was throwing in the towel, and just tried to get to sleep as soon as I could just to get morning quicker, and could leave. Best of luck anyone looking to book here. P.s also no bathroom fan, and small. The amount of steam that you will unleash and hang with will want you to open the window, but you can't.....because its screwed shut ( see pics. )

Motel 6 has stylish beds but also very comfortable

Motel 6 is a small but quite and also around everything you might need. I stayed here for one night and I had a good time. The room was warm and the people at the front desk was extremely nice. Also it was very cheep for a 19 year old

Back side of Motel, WiFi is not free, sign misleading. Outside pool. Good parking. No one messed with our car.

I've stayed at the Motel 6 several times. I found it to be a clean motel with comfortable beds. The staff has always been friendly

After driving for 8 hours we arrived and my wrestlers were excited for the hot tub, but it was out of operation. The next morning our room didn't have any hot water. Its very important for wrestlers to shower and practice hygiene before wrestling to prevent the spread of disease. I called the front desk and I was told too many people were showering at that time. After an hour the hot water never came on. My kids and myself had to wash by microwaving washcloths and using those to clean ourselves. The front desk assured me the hot water would be back by the end of the day. After I coached for 12 hours, and my kids wrestled all day we returned to find we still did not have hot water. I called the front desk and they told me we did. I was clear that we did not and they told us they would call someone. No one came to the room or did anything to fix it. Again, we washed with microwaved wash cloths. This is completely unacceptable for a hotel. Since I didn't get anywhere when I talked to the front desk staff I decided to send an e-mail, but they don't have any email information on their website, just the phone number to the front desk.

Fortunately, in the absence of clear-cut criteria for that "five star" place, I have the Maguire House to use as a benchmark. When you drive up Cobb Road in the small town of Ashburnham, MA to be greeted by a bounding golden retriever, it's immediately clear that this B&B is a little bit different. For one thing, it's not there out of convenience to a touristy area: when you visit the Maguire House, you are doing it on purpose. This is a huge advantage if you're looking for some true R&R, and Terry provides enough fresh-baked treats to be content barely leaving the 18th-century oasis of her home. Between the beautifully curated collection of antique furniture, the lush goose down comforters, claw-footed bathtubs and innumerable extra touches (the towels, for example, are all perfectly coordinated with bedroom color schemes), it would be understandable if you never went outside here. When my husband and I didn't feel like cross-country skiing last winter, a fire and complimentary glass of wine made this an appealing option. But during a recent June stay, we were scarcely in our room: the view is magnificent and I spent hours watching wild turkeys, woodpeckers and cardinals go about their daily routines. When it was time for a little more action, we took a rowboat out on the lake at the brink of the property. The water was peaceful and perfectly safe, but Abby (the golden retriever) kept watch over us just in case. It should come as no surprise that we will be going back to the Maguire House, though probably not in time to sate my craving for Terry's lemon-blueberry scones. It is a place to bring friends, or a book, or your weekday stress, and lose it in the tranquility that connects New England's past with your future getaways.

When trying to cancel one night was told it was part of a two night minimum. Never disclosed on any of the paperwork or confirmation emails. Front desk staff was extremely rude about it. But then finally let me cancel a night. On arrival when walking to the room noticed hallways in disrepair with holes in walls, paint and wall coverings falling off renovation areas that seem to have been that way for quite some time. Stains on walls and carpets. On arrival to room it was freezing the air was one and it was 62 in the room. Bathroom door broken as well as it didn't lock. Musty smell in the room. Upon arrival checked the bed to make sure there were no bedbugs based on the general upkeep of the common areas. Didn't see any. Pulled back top corner to get into bed and realize there was a full spiderweb and large spider that had been in residence for quite some time. When I called the front desk they told me there were no other rooms to move too. Nor anybody to clean the room. It was obvious this room had not been occupied in quite some time nor cleaned. Finally able to relocate us at 11 o'clock at night. Made for a poor sleeping night for our group because we weren't sure that we were not gonna find other spiders, bugs or other animals in the new room. New room still had a musty smell. Walls painted over mold. Toilet was not connected to the floor. Tiles were falling off the wall under the sink. Mirror was disintegrating. Spoke to the front desk in the morning we're not even apologetic for the inconvenience. I was told all the rooms in the hotel had been thoroughly cleaned before the weekend. When I showed her the pictures she stated oh my. While this place may have been nice when constructed it is obvious they have not kept up with general maintenance or renovations. In reviewing previous reviews, after the fact, I found pictures of areas that were under maintenance 11 months ago that are still in the same exact state. Icemaker that doesn't work , areas partitioned off for Reno , industrial washers in the hallway, dumpster dollies full of bleach and trash in the halls and rooms that seemed to have paper on the sliders. First room had two refrigerators and a coffee maker second room had one fridge no coffee maker. I would've never made coffee there. Second room was smaller and we were told since we got a view of the pool that our room was an actual upgrade. It was ridiculous Stay someplace else
