First the good. The prices are very good. Especially if you have a dog. The lady working the front desk was really friendly. And it's located near the beach. As someone who travels with dogs, I wasn't expecting anything luxurious. It had clean sheets and towels. The bad the t.v didn't work. Not a big deal, I can go one night without tv. Yes it did smell like a cat box. Again nothing I haven't had to deal with before. The part that made me laugh. The little toilet. It looked like it was repurposed from a grade school. Hotels.com deferred to the property so they weren't helpful. Save headache and go somewhere else don't waste $500 for 2 nights like I did. Phone doesn't work. The bathroom window has air blowing through the bottom gap. I'm hearing noises coming from the bathroom area all night. The noises made my dogs bark. I'm scared as Hell being a single woman staying here for 7 days. I'm waiting for someone to pop out and say boo any minute. My nerves are on the edge. And I tried calling the front desk from my cell phone twice but no answer. What the Hell is causing this noise? I'm wanting to shower but I'm scared. The bathroom wondow is loose. This is THE MOST disgusting Motel 6 I've ever been to. The only reason I stayed here was because I was so tired and it was one of the only places with an office open late to allow checkin. I walked into the office to check in and was hit with the stench of dirty cat litter box. No one was even at the desk and took them a minute to come in the office. Im assuming there's a living quarters attached to the office. After checking into the motel, I had to haul my luggage all the way to the back of the property and upstairs only to find out the keys she just gave me dont work. I called the office from my phone and told them they keys dont work. She wanted me to walk back and get new ones. I told her I had all my luggage outside and im not leaving it there after I just hauled it all the way to the back and up the stairs. She agreed to bring the keys to me but it took like 5 business days for her to even leave the office amd walk back to my room. When I got inside everything was rundown, disgusting, broken, etc... The light switch doesnt work, you only have the bed light at the only source of light in the entire room. The windows in the bathroom and both bedrooms are covered in moisture and black mildew due to being old single pane windows. The floor was ripped up and exposing some kind of plastic layers underneath the fake wood panels. Shower has mold all over in the grout. Bathroom walls had splatters of who knows what running down the walls. The beds are atrocious. They are extremely springy and you'll sink down in them. The sheets got dirty on one bed because I have a rescue dog and she decided to pee on the bed. I immediately ripped off all the sheets to avoid it soaking into the mattress. I called the front desk and explained what happened and asked for a new set of sheets. They claim they have none and it will take an hour to get some because he has to wash them first. Mind you it was midnight already and he wants to make me wait till after 1am. I questioned him on the entire hotel not having any sheets. He claims "Well I wash them at night, thats why". Im going to call BS on this. What hotel doesnt have sheets/bedding ready? Do they only have enough bedding for each room they rent? I again call BS. I told him nevermind and hung up. The property has an entire vacant wing for some reason. There is construction EVERYWHERE and the pool is not operating. The construction that is being done looks weathered and aged and clearly no one is completing the construction currently. Its just sitting there incomplete. This place is clearly run by cheapskate slum lords and not that Motel 6 was ever glamorous but I can't believe that corporate allows this location to be run under their brand name. This place should be shut down and paying $95 after tax for this room is downright criminal given the poor condition of the entire property. Ice machine is also outside and fully exposed to the elements, bugs, rodents, etc... I wouldn't dare touch it with it being exposed like that. Anything can crawl up the ice shoot and into the ice bin. Most hotels have one inside. House keeping tried coming into the room while I was asleep. Luckily I had a camera recording. Its unacceptable that checkout is at 11am and yet they try to physically enter the room hours prior to this. Stay out of peoples rooms until the designated departure time. I would avoid this place 100% in the future unless you're fine with dirty, moldy rooms and house keeping that has zero respect for paying customers. read more

I wanted to check out the beaches in this area like Glass Beach and Pudding Beach. The beaches are wonderful. The motel is not so much. The motel is run down. I would recommend going somewhere else first. I stayed at this motel because everywhere else was full. There's a nice restaurant/bar in the parking lot area. If you want to stay up rather than sleep, this is the motel for you because it's so loud. I needed sleep due to my 5.5 hours drive, and I didn't get any sleep. read more

If you need a place to sleep and don't want to pay a dime more than you have to, this is a dry clean bed. The motel is quite run down inside and out and no frills is an understatement. No pictures on the wall, no coffee maker, no extra blankets, no shampoo for the shower and stained up white towels. There is a mini fridge and a microwave which is nice. read more

Decent for Motel 6. Front desk woman was nice and even recommended the yummy pizza establishment (D'Aurelio's) behind the motel for dinner. It was delicious! Room was as clean as most motels in this chain. We had a king bed room with microwave and refrigerator (with little freezer). Like the wood floors, especially for pet friendly establishments. The bed was old. Very springy and anytime anyone moved, the entire bed shook. This is probably the worst bed we've had while staying in this chain...and we aren't picky bed or pillow people. Another drawback is the window wasn't able to open. There was a rod put in it to close it permanently. We prefer fresh air over a/c, but ended up having to use the a/c at night to sleep because the room got too hot and stuffy. Luckily the a/c worked well, without any odd odors. Water pressure and temperature were good. Sink and shower drained properly, but the shower felt soft under our feet...water damage?! I let management know. Overall a decent stay. Would probably stay here again, only when traveling with pets. read more

When you consider staying in a motel six, you make a mental note to brace yourself for what you're going to see. There is no way I could've been prepared for how horrific the room was when we entered. Not only had it not been cleaned, but it looked like a homeless encampment. The bathtub was full of muddy water, brown water came out of the bath taps. None of the beds were made, and the linen was filthy. Trash was overflowing out of all the cans. Thank god my husband and I (disabled) carry camping gear and a few cleaning products on the motorcycles at all times; because this location is a biohazard shithole. I have slept in a literal sheep barn in Australia that had a higher standard of cleanliness and repair. At the time that I am writing this, I have found a dirty sock under the bed, dirty tighty-whities on the closet floor, hairspray on the mirror, and dust everywhere. For a special bonus, every light fixture is a different wattage and color (which can be a trigger for a many neurological disorders). There's also a stairwell that's practically boarded and taped off, which I use loosely and in looking farther back on some reviews, I found that this specific stairwell seems to be a long-standing issue. How is every room on the second floor of that building expected to safely evacuate in an emergency, with only one set of stairs? Now, fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. This is the second mess of an experience; however, it'll be the last time I let myself or anyone else suffer the reckless negligence and malfeasance that is permitted and practically encouraged with Motel 6's subpar standards for one to retain the ability to call themself a Motel 6. I was willing to look past the disaster of a location in Kalispell, Montana. However, this pathetically shoddy attempt at customer service that Motel 6 attempts to hock is habitual and I wouldn't be surprised if either of these locations results in someone eventually becoming ill or passing away because of something that happened at either of these locations. If "Nancy Y." is a legitimate member of staff, she needs a raise for cutting and pasting the same lame excuse for your sloppy and lazy franchise owners. The front desk staff is seemingly polite and very friendly. I stayed there twice out of necessity. I will never return. The towels are supposed to be white...they are grey...no bueno. I can not recommend this place. As nice as the staff was, this motel just seems so rundown and in desperate need of a face-lift. I asked for a non-smoking room but was placed next to rooms where people were smoking in their doorways, and my room smelled like smoke with a touch of urine. it was hard to sleep. I brought my own bed sheets, smart thing to do for this place. the pictures on their website are obvious touch ups. They had hardwood floors, probably for easy clean up. No door mats, so dirt and what not were tracked in from the outside. The lights were ALL dim, maybe to hide how dirty they rooms actually were. The complex is big, so they should be able to accommodate a non-smoking side without having to smell stale cigarette odor. It was gross. Aside from Cinthia at the front desk being very welcoming, and that it was pet friendly, the room was horrible. Dirty and moldy, grimy and disgusting. The pictures will speak for themselves. Luckily we had our own blankets to sleep on. We booked the room for one night as we were just hanging out in Fort Bragg doing the Skunk Train/Glass Beach thing. It being right off the 1, in a coastal town, right after 4th of July we thought the price was decent for just a few hours of being in the room. About $30-$50 cheaper than other hotel/motels we looked at. One ice machine for the whole complex, that we could find and it was out of order. Indoor pool was drained and empty with the door wide open, feels like some kind of safety hazard. Pet area was a gravel 3x5 space that was almost always occupied by someone on a bike...maybe homeless? Not that big of a deal but made the place seem even more sketchy. To top it off cops were rolling through the parking lot with lights on about 2/3am for who knows what. Some kind of disturbance as people were yelling. Again, stuff happens but just added to the sleaziness. Don't waste your money!! It would be cleaner sleeping in your car. I reached out to corporate and they sent an email back literally titled 'General Apology'. There was not a place to add pictures so I sent those to them after the apology email. I have not heard back. I have worked in customer service for about 20 years, so I kind of get the general response to a point. Knowing that when a customer complained where I worked, something actually happened at the business to fix it but the customer got a general apology. I genuinely hope that this is the same for them. That they take the feedback and fix this disgusting motel. Check in: The sink was clogged so no water drained and the beds were old (appears people also lived in there for long period). The mattress was hard and I felt springs. I asked to see a new room, and I had to go to the office FIVE times during check-in, which took over an hour. This is because I was asked to get keys in the office for three different rooms that were the same quality. I then noticed the rooms with the better beds so waited another half hour to finally get one of those rooms. The person who checked me in at 3 pm on 3/23/22 then proceeded to have an attitude with all this. She also claimed the mattresses in the back were all new. This is clearly not true and I don't know if she believes it herself or not. Note: From my Expedia review I said something about the staff throughout my visit. I'm not able to edit that, but I'd like to say it was really only the person at check-in. I also got a strange vibe at check out from a staff that was previously friendly. I booked this room for a family get away. Upon check in with my 6 year old we were then notified they didn't have any non smoking rooms available and would have to be booked in a smoking room. I asked if it would smell like smoke, the lady said no we have good cleaners and steam the room so it won't smell.... When we opened the room it was horrible, overwhelming and smelt like an ashtray. We immediately opened the windows to air out (which do not have any screens on them). Once we looked around we had noticed how filthy the room was. We showered and by the morning when we looked at our feet they were black from how filthy the floor was. .. I literally went to the store and bought some Clorox wipes, a broom and a quick swifter. We only stayed 2 nights. It's a motel 6, and I wasn't expecting much so for you to be let down with already low standards says something. The walls were dirty, where the "clean towels" go was So Filthy, walls, floors and base boards were filthy with gunk on them. Headboards to the beds had smears, dirt and dust on them. Sheets/ bed were dirty (thank goodness we brought our own) I felt like someone had lived in that room for a while or something and it wasn't cleaned after. I swiffered and swiffered and the floors would not come clean. Worst part: Fraudulent charge after we paid. They charged our card for an additional $100.00 that we did not authorize, my fiancé called to let them know and they didn't do anything about this so now have to report it through our bank that they did a fraudulent charge. We were not present for this charge and did not authorize it, let alone we were not told about any additional charge. Horrible room and service now. September 2024 If there was EVER a place that someone should go on UNDERCOVER BOSS, this is the place! First, let me say, we booked this hotel a while in advance and there weren't a lot of options to leave and book somewhere else, it was late and we were tired from traveling. There was someone checking in when we got there, they were back in minutes to say, the room was already occupied! That made us feel real safe that our stuff would be safe in the room...not! We get our key and go to bring our luggage upstairs (there are no elevators) and one set of stairs was blocked from off with boards and plastic taping! Door to the room was rusty. The bathroom was moldy, filthy and the "painted baseboards" was really just a swipe of paint on them. No hair dryer, no shampoo, sink mirror crack on frame. The TV wires were just hanging, and completely exposed. We were so uncomfortable that we jammed a chair under the doorknob. This "motel" was either a place for homeless people to live at or a pay by the our place! There was even a sign on the back of the bathroom door that had prices for how many people were in the room! The shower drain was so disgusting that I didn't dare take a shower. The pool was "out of service", and when I looked up other reviews afterwards, it's been out of service for years! When people leave a bad review "the management" literally copies and pastes the same response over and over. We will NEVER stay at another Motel 6 because of this experience. My key card didn't worked and they followed me back to the room to assist after it was re- programmed. CON's Cigarette butts in the parking lot, broken planters, old dirty mattresses stuffed in a walk way, peeling board blocking a stairwell (most likely too rotten to be used ) . When I opened the door I immediately smelled strong mold .Dirty walls, paint trim looks like a 12 year old did it. Uggh PRO 's to be fair One good thing the mattress looked new and was very comfortable. The blanket was super thin, a thicker blanket would be nice. For a Motel 6, it was pretty decent overall- not in a bad neighborhood and decent amenities. We booked the jacuzzi king suite, but the rates were high ($640 with tax for 3 nights) but comparable with competition in the area. PROS: Good convenient location, the staff was nice and we got the things we needed like blankets quickly. The jacuzzi in the room was also really a nice bonus compared to the competition nearby. Bed was comfortable enough. CONS: Poor insulation. You can hear all of your neighbors. On the first night, we heard some lady yelling profanities at someone several times throughout the night in addition to kids running around above us. On the third day, we heard the couple next to us arguing at 7am, running their jacuzzi at 430am, and the person above us stomping around. The fridge in the room is also super loud and constantly woke my husband who is a light sleeper. There were also often people standing around talking late at night right outside the room. (1am) They also only provide a single tiny bar of soap by the sink- no body wash or shampoo, you have to pay extra for those in a vending machine. The sink was also super clogged up like no one ever cleans it. Wooden floors were also filthy. I had to constantly clean my feet as they were black just from walking around the room. During a pandemic, I think more than 1 chair in the room is more realistic considering the number of people getting takeout these days. My husband had to eat his food on the bed while I sat at the table. Wi-Fi provided was also out of range for our room in back. Overall, I expect more for the pricepoint- the jacuzzi was only an extra $90, so even $500+ for 3 nights is still way too steep even for this area. I'd probably only stay a night here in the future given the noise issue, book a non-holiday weekend and further in advance to get more for your $. read more

Broken TV, few outlets and fewer that actually work. This location must be a participant in Operation Room Key, as homeless people were shuffling in and out of rooms. Noise all night long. Really wanted to change rooms, but the office was locked up and dark shortly after I checked in. No sleep, and actually caught a respiratory infection from this place. I wish I could give this motel no stars. My son and a group of his friends stayed at this motel this last week and left on foot to go get some food. When they got back, they noticed their room was broken into (via the window) and everything was stolen. Thousands of dollars worth of things. They went to the front desk and the guy working said he didn't have access to the cameras, but would have someone get back to them......they still haven't heard back. Which, due to the poor lighting, I realized half way through my own shower. After drying off and suppressing my disgust I called the front desk. They didn't care, the only response was "ok". Look, I get it's the night crew but come on. Act like this may actually be a surprise. Rest of town is booked out so we are stuck here for the night, getting into bed I realized that the bottom of it freshly showered feet were covered in dirt from just walking around for a few minutes. This place is terrifying. I think I'd feel safer sleeping on death row beside the inmates. There was an asbestos removal truck outside the building and active work crews moving stuff to and from it. There was a large pile of (roof?) wood that was dangerous in the middle of the parking lot. The doors and everything is so weathered it looked like it hadn't been painted in a 50 years. The inside of the room was a literal box with a fuzzy, old (maybe?) 32 inch tv. None of the outlets were secure enough to hold chargers in them. The stains in the bathroom and floor coming up were terrifying. I'm genuinely surprised there were not bedbugs by the look of everything but the cleaning crews did great work with the linens. The location is great (right in town and by Starbucks/Safeway). The fridge worked great and was very cold. The staff was so kind and helpful, it was almost worth the fear. There are NO frills, and I get that's what you pay for, but it was a literal joke how many drug deals and pros we watched from our bedroom window. I didn't sleep thinking at any moment our top floor room would crash down and waited to hear our car busted into. I love Motel 6 but DAMN! This place is terrifying. Never again. ...I love this Motel....I've stated here many a time...because staff is really nice and they allow pets....but,...yesterday, after hours of driving...so excited to check in...Tanya..who's usually very accommodating...was very unprofessional yesterday,..lacking good customer service!!!!....paying close to $100.00..She shows me a map of where my room is...it was in a dark hall..with NO LIGHT COMING IN...there's absolutely 25% Occupancy...so...that wasn't going to happen..said something,..and she was going to charge me more....finally a nice young man came out of the hotel office and saved the day..The World needs kindness now...it would of been so easy to be the kind of front desk employee your Corporate manager would want to see...!!!!! read more
