Finding high quality folks to help with home maintenance is a pain. I hate it. However, a friend recommended Gavin, and I'm so glad I contacted him. Our roof is about 8 years old and starting to have some moss growth on one side. Our skylights were dirty and the gutters/downspouts needed a good cleaning too. Gavin was easy to communicate with, and after a I sent a few photos, gave me an estimate that what right on with what the total ended up being when he was done. He uses cleaning techniques that are safe for the asphalt shingles and the roof now looks like it was just installed. It looks brand new! The skylights are clear again and the gutters drain well. We had Gavin (Moss Defender) come out and clean the roof/gutters/siding of my mom's house when we were in the process of trying to sell it a few years ago. I had seen some friends recommending the company on Facebook and it was someone I sort of knew growing up, plus I like supporting small business. I'm glad we went with him! He did a great job then. I'm not sure why I didn't leave a review at the time, though it was possibly because we were busy in the process of selling a house. Anyway, we just had him out yesterday to clean the moss off our roof, clean out the gutters, and clean the roof of our shed. He did an exceptional job, left the space around the outside of the house at least as clean as it was was when he got here, if not cleaner, AND he offered to trim the wisteria off the roof of our shed! Can't say enough good things about this company! Gavin came out to clean my gutters which I had let go far too long. I asked him to asses my roof while he was up there as it is at the end of it warranty life, 20 yrs. He said he thinks the roof still has life left so I had him do a moss removal and treatment. My roof looks fantastic, almost like new. Not a missing shingle and plenty of grit left, Gavin was right and his service saved me paying 10k next month for a new roof. We just had our roof and gutters cleaned today, and I cannot express how totally satisfied by the service we received from Gavin at Moss Defender!!!! Not only does our roof look brand new, our gutters are spotless!! He had quite the job, since we had a great deal of moss on our roof, and our gutters wouldn't even drain anymore. He worked on it for at least 8 hours in the pouring rain, and always was pleasant when I went out to see if he was doing ok. The one thing that really stands out, is the fact that you can not even tell he did all this cleaning. The yard was spotless when he left!!! You don't see that very often anymore!!! We hired Moss Defender to do a full cleaning job and Moss treatment at our home. The moss treatment on our roof, gutter cleaning, and pressure washing all the sidewalks. We had just purchased the home as a foreclosure, and it had been neglected for years. After all the work was finished, it looks so nice all cleaned up, and like new.
