I started reaching out to them and finally got a projected start date of late Sept. 2020 at the end of July, 2020. As we got into the middle and late August, I tried to reach out to them again to get a firmer start date. After numerous attempts by me they finally responded in the second week of September that they would not be able to follow through with the late September start date. I was told they could do the job next Spring! They stated that due to CoVid they had laid off half their work force! I understand that CoVid has created huge effects in our personal lives and economy. However, I noticed that other companies are responding and continuing to take on work. Ren-O-Paint's decision and late communication with me forced me to immediately search and find a company willing to take on my house painting. Fortunately, I was able to succeed finding someone and will get my house painted when I wanted it done and not to Ren-O-Paint's schedule. If you're looking for a highly skilled general contractor who is an excellent communicator, pays…read moregreat attention to detail, works extremely clean, and charges a very fair rate, look no further. Everything Alberto (the main guy behind TS Home Improvement) touches turns to gold and I guarantee he is the guy you want to work with. We had water damage caused by a slow leaking pipe in the wall behind our kitchen sink and we found Alberto right after learning it wasn't going to be covered by insurance. We also happened to be weeks out from the due date for our third child. After having many general contractors visit our home and give us bids, we hired Alberto. He came into our home and made an extremely stressful situation not only feel manageable, but also helped us figure out several sensible upgrades to roll into the project that have helped us love our home even more. We were stressed out to the max when he first met with us and I will never forget his patience and kindness in helping us wrap our arms around this project and figure out how to approach it. My husband and I are not particularly handy and tend to lean toward hiring work out rather than DIY. In the past we've done a studs-out remodel (working with contractors) on one house, plus worked with a bunch of contractors when we made some upgrades upon buying our current house. All this to say: Alberto operates in a stratosphere above and beyond every contractor we've ever worked with. I am pretty Type A and have never worked with a contractor who actually may pay more attention to detail than I do -- seriously he is so impressive. Having someone work in your home for weeks on end is also a pretty personal experience and Alberto is someone you actually look forward to seeing each day. He is kind, incredibly thoughtful, patient, and so easy to talk to and work with. He and his brother, Alejandro, work so clean that my husband and I were amused that the areas of the house where they were working were cleaner than other parts of our house. They are also just such good humans. Only one example of this is that one day when I had a huge Costco order delivered on our stoop they brought the groceries into the kitchen for me without saying a thing and I didn't realize it until they had left for the day. On top of providing a remarkably smooth experience, Alberto is extremely skilled at everything he does. He is one of those people you just learn to trust with a project because he is so experienced and capable. He kept impressing us with everything he did looking better than we could have expected. All in, Alberto demo'd and repaired a bunch of framing and siding on the exterior of our house, repaired the damage in our kitchen (including floor joists and a load bearing wall with dry rot, repairing our cabinets, and replacing flooring), replaced our kitchen sink and some tiling that was broken while a plumber was fixing the pipes, completely gutted and remodeled our laundry room, including new floors and drywall, installing cabinets and building a custom waterfall butcher block washing machine box and folding counter. He also did random tasks like hang our new tv, install a light, and other miscellaneous things that were so helpful to cross off our to do list.
