I went for a routine cleaning today and had a new cleaning tech and a new doctor. I was told the…read morebusiness has been sold. I left without being looked at by the doctor. Overall, this was a very bad experience for me. I have anxiety about the dentist. Dr Cervantes was always gentle and aware and helped me better my dental hygiene. Today, however, the cleaning started, and I don't think the tech had even read my chart. After the cleaning, which was painful and I did not get a flossing or the normal medicine, I met a new doctor. If I would have known what I was walking into for this apptmtn, I could have mentally prepared myself. However, to walk into this unprepared with anxiety, was horrible. I went to my car afterwards and cried. I will not be going back. Ithink Bianca is still there and she is excellent with anxiety, but I felt so embarrassed and somewhat taken advantage of that I will be getting a new dentist.

I rarely leave reviews like this, but the way this office handled my appointment -- and especially…read morethe way the situation was handled once I arrived -- was completely unacceptable. I had a TWO-HOUR root canal appointment scheduled for August 31st. When the appointment was originally scheduled, I was specifically informed that if I needed to cancel or reschedule, I was required to give the office 72 hours' notice. Fair enough. I understood and respected that policy. Then, on August 25th, the office contacted me and offered me an appointment for that same afternoon. I explained that I couldn't make it that day, and the staff member told me, "We'll see you on the 31st." I said okay. At that point, there should have been absolutely no confusion about whether I intended to keep my appointment. Fast forward to Friday: I was at WORK and apparently missed their request to "confirm" my Monday appointment. I was later informed that because I did not respond between approximately 2:22 PM and 3:45 PM, they cancelled my TWO-HOUR appointment. Let that sink in. Patients are expected to provide this office 72 HOURS of notice to cancel or reschedule, yet this office apparently gave me approximately 83 MINUTES during a workday to respond before deciding I no longer wanted an appointment that I NEVER cancelled. I then drove OVER AN HOUR to this office Monday morning expecting to receive the treatment I had scheduled, only to find out after arriving that they had cancelled it. When I made it clear that I had come for my scheduled appointment and told them they needed to figure out how to accommodate me, the OFFICE MANAGER told me I would have to "sit in the lobby all day." Then the front desk employee told me, "Your insurance approved it, you might as well just come back another day." Excuse me? My insurance approving the procedure has absolutely nothing to do with the issue. My time matters. My work schedule matters. The gas and time spent driving over an hour to their office matters. The fact that I arranged my morning around a TWO-HOUR medical appointment matters. "You might as well come back another day" is an incredibly dismissive response to a problem that your office created. I did not miss my appointment. I did not cancel my appointment. I did not request to reschedule my appointment. I SHOWED UP FOR MY APPOINTMENT. The office cancelled it without my authorization because I did not respond to a confirmation request quickly enough while I was working. If a patient cancelled a two-hour appointment with 83 minutes' notice, would this office consider that acceptable? Of course not. Yet apparently that level of courtesy does not have to go both ways. And telling a patient who has already driven over an hour that they can either "sit in the lobby all day" or "come back another day" is not customer service. It is dismissive and disrespectful. Had I been clearly informed when scheduling that failure to respond to a confirmation message within a specific timeframe would automatically cancel my appointment, I would understand. But that was NOT the policy explained to me. The policy explained to me was that I needed to provide 72 hours' notice if I chose to cancel or reschedule. I honored my appointment. I showed up. This office did not. The root canal isn't even what left a bad taste in my mouth -- I never got far enough to have one.

She is a pleasure to be around, and I always know that when she is helping me, my dental needs will be handled carefully and thoroughly. Going to the dentist is generally not at the top of anyone's list of fun activities, but I always know that I will be treated well and that my concerns will be addressed. I have had extensive dental work completed here, and everything has been handled with professionalism, courtesy, and attention to detail. Dr. Randawa recently completed my Invisalign treatment, and I am extremely happy with the results. Whenever I see him, I know I will receive top-notch professional care. Jean at the front desk is very helpful explaining the dental options and insurance numbers. The dental assistants are charming, friendly and quick. I was trying to check them for wedding rings in hopes for my single son. I'm sad yet happy to report they all wear gloves. The best though to me was Dr. Castillo. A refreshingly honest man. I believe a bit of a pad attached to the top and or bottom of your front door might help alleviate that horrible metal on metal slamming noise made every time the front door closes. At 10 years old, he fell and chipped it, then when he had braces, the nerve got more damaged, so he had to have a root canal which made his tooth gray and brittle. He found a dentist near his college who was going to charge us $3-4K ($2-3K after insurance) and was going to place a crown, then shave and veneer his other front tooth to match. We weren't happy with another perfectly good tooth being damaged or the cost. By chance, I was flying into town the same day and took him for a haircut when we passed by 32 Dental. I thought it looked nice, the signs indicated that they did the type of work he needed, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Their top dentist and owner, Dr. Kristian Cabugao, saw him the next day, matched and made a near perfect shade/texture crown, and slightly shaped the surrounding teeth to avoid any grinding. Then, he was fitted with a custom top/bottom mouth guard. All of this happened the very next day in 3 hours for under $1K (after insurance)! The other front tooth did not even need a veneer. We were thrilled. A shout out and thank you to Dr. Kristian and the team at 32 Dental!
