Service has gone downhill since we started eating here a year ago. Waitstaff are order takers, they don't deliver the food. They don't come back and ask if everything is okay. If you ask for steak sauce or Parmesan cheese it takes forever to get it. They are quick to see if you want more alcohol. Our appetizer order was wrong, we sent it back to get the right one. Our entree came out never saw the appetizer. Waitress told us we should have told her. We told the food runner it was wrong. Waitress wasn't around. It's a staffing issue not hers. Three waitresses and full restaurant. We Don't mind waiting for good food. We understand the kitchen must be busy and understaffed if the front is. Our entree was good. Beer menu great. We had to tell the waitress to take the undelivered appetizer off our bill, it's happened before with undelivered beverages. Watch your bill. New thing on bill is a convenience fee. We weren't told about it or what it was. Not sure we'll return. Their menu prices increased not sure why they are charging that fee. You can tell service has gone down with Health inspection rate down from 98 to 86 that something is wrong. read more

Decided to try MO's after watching a Boarder Hounds baseball game. Mo's is a financial sponsor of the team, and is committed to the community, so we wanted to repay their generosity. It was a Saturday night, and we got seated right away. Place was clean, and the bar was hopping. TVs all around do you can watch sports (must have). I had the sizzling chicken fajitas and they were amazing. My some had the Godfather pizza and said it was top notch. My wife had the chicken tacos. The food was fresh, well plated, and the portions were substantial. This place was waaaaayyy better than we expected from the reviews. I'm happy to report after an unfavorable time at Mo's last night, we came back again for lunch this afternoon to try again. The staff was very helpful and accommodating and came over and apologized for the bad service we had last night. Our service was really quick and accommodating this time around and the food was delicious! I started with a cup of the soup of the day- creamy cauliflower with bacon and a chicken Caesar salad. We've been to Mo's twice for lunch during our stay in Malone. They have lots to choose from at fair and moderate pricing. Everything was very good. They have a full bar and a great selection of local NYS beers. We sat at the bar and although quite busy, Maya was very attentive. This is definitely a great place to eat and hang out. read more

Been here three or four times. Service in the bar is great, table service was slow and seemed disconnected. Last time there we ordered a pizza, which was OK, not the best, butnot bad at all. I was a cook at Moe's pub and grill a few days ago. Something happen and was hired at Titus mountain. Then on Monday was told I could not work there due to me contacting D H.R. to have my issue investigated. The person who said I could not work there was opener name dude. Also while working at Moe's pub and grill we were never told about people who contracted the could virus. We had to keep work and was not told. I think the place needs to be investigated. read more

Our hopes for a yummy lunch were crushed when our food was cold, the cheese sauce was congealed, and our pretzel had salt after we specifically asked for no course salt! I went there for lunch and had negative interactions with the cranky bartender. I was made to feel wrong for interrupting her with ordering food. I ordered the smoked Gouda poutine which I only ate a little. It was not good and they charged $12 for basically fries and overcooked dried gouda cheese on it. It's really not bad! I stay at the Malone Holiday Inn Express a few times a year for work and Mo's is right across the parking lot. Super convenient; especially if I want an adult bevvie (or two). I've been here a few times and had a decent veggie burger, good salad and solid appetizers (albeit fattening - i.e. -boneless chicken wings, poutine, nachos). The sweet potato fries are really good, too. My colleague gets the French Dip and loves it. I've had a Guinness here a few times and it's a good pour. The staff is friendly and efficient. It's pretty much the only place that I've eaten in Malone...and it's good enough each time to keep going back. Plus, if you stay in the Holiday Inn Express next door, there's a discount on the food (which I forgot about tonight...). Decent choice. read more

I like to feel welcomed at a restaurant and Mo's does that well. The staff is friendly and accommodating. My server, Shyann, was exceptionally warm and personable. The food was above average- I had the mahi mahi fish tacos. The restaurant provided a generous portion of fish. It was fairly fresh tasting for being in Malone. Again, the food was decent, but Mo's shines on service. All in all a pleasant lunch. I would come back to Mo's in the future! read more

We walked in and the waitress told us to seat ourselves and the tables and floors were dirty and there was only one other family in there. The food was mediocre there was no seasoning on any of the food we ordered brisket and Gouda smothered in gravy poutine and the brisket was sandwich corn beef slices. And it was frozen fries and packet gravy on the side. My sister got a buffalo chicken Mac and cheese which was completely separated, curdling and tasted like butter noodles with a mild buffalo sauce on the side. I ordered a burger medium rare which was 2 frozen 10-1 patties cooked together with a piece of cheese and grilled onions in the middle overly cooked. They put my sauce on the side and my burger was soaked in grease and I couldn't even pick it up when they brought it to me. The coleslaw on the side tasted like mushy kfc coleslaw the waitresses hid in the back and took forever to get us our orders and when we told them the food was flavorless and the Mac and cheese was separated she told us there's nothing she can do about it. It was supposed to be that way, argued with my sister about it being busy (my sister and I have worked in the waitressing and food industry for 10+ years) and she didn't know what she was talking about and continued to walk past the dirty tables to hide in the back. I would not go there. From the outside it looks like a beautiful place and it's decorated nicely but you'd have better food and it'd be cheaper at the 6 local fast food places in town. read more

Then for entrées I got a rare notorious pig burger that came out well with a sauce that was good but came on the side instead of on the actual pulled pork or burger. Also got "sweet" corn that wasn't sweet and had no flavor at all. My partner got Philly cheesesteak sliders that came out cold with cold fries. Very disappointed. We used to love this place. The food was good, the atmosphere welcoming. However, it's now a hip hop club - DJ, flashing lights, disco ball - and the music is too loud for the relatively small space. This restaurant has a great ambiance, and is actually clean and functional. The service is hit or miss. A coworker and I dined here a couple times due to it's proximity to the hotel and tried salads, mexican night and seafood. Overall the place is not worth the money. My fish was simply cooked from frozen, and was way overdone. The caesar salad was drowned in dressing, the lobster bisque was mainly cream - way too rich. Mexican night was disappointing with chicken tacos with tough, dried out under seasoned meat. The place was dead and it still took a while to get service from an early 20's girl in a hooded sweatshirt. Pretty unprofessional for a place that is willing to charge you $20+ for some menu items. Mo's is located right next to the holiday inn on route 11. Its one of the more clean and nondivey pubs in the north country. All the food options are good and Mexican and Irish nights make for good specials. Bartenders and wait staff are all solid. Try the wings, burgers, and flat bread pizzas. While traveling for work I found this resturant near the hotel I was staying at. I had decided on another restaurant, however it was going to close shortly after I would have arrived, so I thought I would check out this restaurant. I was seated quickly and all the staff was very friendly. I debated on trying the salmon vs. the steak (Ribeye my favorite) but went with my gut and tried the ribeye. My order came out reasonably quick, which was nice. I ordered my steak med-rare and it was cooked perfectly. The cut looked similar to what I might find at any chain restaurant that serves steak. It had some marbling but you could tell it was a low end cut of beef. I took my first bite and it was perfect, not too hot, not too cool. I noticed that their butter and spice they use had a less than desirable flavor. I had to add a fair amount of salt to it to enjoy it. My baked potato was very good, the vegetables were cooks just right, but also had the uniquire task like the steak. While this flavor may be very good for some, it was less than enjoyable to me. I tried the dessert too, a chocolate lava cake. The dessert was average. I gave the restaurant a 2 stars mostly due to the service and atmosphere. I would probably try this again, but try salmon on the next go round and then after 2 visits I would make up my mind on visiting again or not. read more

Meaning that half the time I've had to hunt down my check, servers don't bring requested items (like steak sauce), nor pay much attention to you after the food drops. And the food. Steak is tasteless. Seafood is seriously overcooked. Cole slaw has no dressing I could discover. The only item I've had in several visits that was good were the chicken wings. And it's not like the place is inexpensive. It is not. So, while it's better than starving to death, I'd try somewhere else. read more

The convenience to the Holiday Inn Express is undeniably enticing despite the previous reviews. I decided to give a try and I'm glad I did. The staff is all friendly attractive young ladies that are and seem to be attentive and conscientious employees, hell, maybe owners. I went with a bowl of mushroom soup and it was outstanding. I also ordered a burger as the bartender said she thinks either are very good. And she was right. I'm somewhat particular and follow fellow Yelper reviews when choosing my eats. I have to say this place is worth eating and drinking here especially since it looks as if the Malone choices are extremely slim. read more
