Was visiting for the weekend and my wife saw this place. Reuben was great and drinks were tasty and strong.

While we walked to our seats I was recording and I feel the gentleman behind the bar was rude (you can hear in the video), but I just moved on. We were sat and there was food under the table. Not a game stopper either. We ordered waters and started with a Milwaukee Pretzel that came with both Mo's Zesty Four Cheese Sauce and Honey Mustard. Mustard is not always my first choice but I didn't mind this one as it was a bit sweeter. The pretzel is big enough to feed four people. We then ordered our entrees. I ordered the Pot Roast and he ordered the Shepherd's Pie. He was shocked that it came with half a piece of bread, but said the meal was delicious and I would agree. I feel pot roast should be tender and this one was more rough and the carrots were still a bit hard. The flavor was nice and the potatoes were delicious. It's a cute spot, resembles an old Irish pub. There was a cozy spot with book shelves set in the back of the restaurant as well as patio seating outside. Our server was very nice, attentive. read more

We stopped in for the first time because we were in the area and had driven by so many times. We were promptly seated right by the fireplace with a fire running. Ok, not cold outside in May but it really still felt good. We ordered onion rings to start and probably shouldn't have. They were so very good and such a large order that we kept eating and pretty much filled up before our dinner came. The picture here is just of what we didn't eat. The Sheppard's Pie was amazing and served nicely in a little cauldron. Excellent flavor and perfectly tender chunks of meat. The fish and chips was spot on. The only negative being that the fries could have been a touch crispier. Maybe another 30 seconds in the fryer. They even had malt vinegar which seems oddly missing from most restaurants here. Went here on a Thursday night with a couple of friends. We tried one of their fall drinks. We love them all. I got the French dip sandwich and I Moe' d it up. It was excellent. The roast beef was not tough at all. The bun was a perfect balance between soft and a little crunchy. The flavor was excellent. This has been so far one of the best French dip sandwiches I've ever had. Our waitress was polite and quick with everything. We chose to sit inside so we could watch the Brewer game. My friend and I met yesterday for dinner at Mo's, and except for the music being louder than we'd like, we had a terrific evening. We were seated immediately, water was delivered quickly, and our server was very helpful with answering my friend's questions about menu items. She ordered a Reuben boxty, which was the contents of a Reuben sandwich but rolled up in a thin potato pancake and served with a cheese sauce. I had the fish fry, and it was excellent - the fish was crisp and firm and flavorful, the fries were also done perfectly, and the Cole slaw so tasty I wish the container had been twice as big! I also had a Bloody Mary - I was assured that the mix was made on site - and it hit just the right notes of spice and heat. While I've eaten several times at Mo's, it was my friend's first visit, but she wants to go back for another boxty when she's in town again, and I think I'll have one, too! read more

Let's start with the environment- Super cute Irish bar. Has a large bar and plenty of seating. Even a little faux library nook where it's a little removed from the general hustle and bustle but you can still see what's going on. Also has plenty of windows in main dining area. Service- was there on a weekday about 530p. Pretty busy with the after work crowd but we were seated right away. Waitress was prompt in getting us water and taking drink order. She was just the right combination of attentive without being overly intrusive. Next the food. One person ordered wings which he said were good and had the right ratio of sauce on it. Another person and myself both ordered burgers. Sorry to say these were a BIG DISAPPOINTMENT. A burger should be a big, thick, juicy patty. So juicy that when you bite into it you are reaching for a napkin . This was anything but. These were basically smash burgers. Two way way over done Pattie's that were so overdone the edges were black. I ordered mine Medium rare and not even close! I get it's hard to cook a Burger to order when it's a smash burger but if this is what they are serving they should make that abundantly clear on the menu. So burgers we're dry, overdone hockey pucks. Lastly parking- They have a small lot behind the restaurant and across the street - both convenient. However one person in my group has a handicap and uses a wheelchair. There are only 2 spaces - we'll basically 1 because one space is located next to the garbage bin and the gate is not closed so we could not get in the space. Honestly don't disabled people go through enough challenges during the day? Does MO's really have to put them by the garbage? Went on a Monday night so it was pretty dead. I think everyone enjoyed their food (party of 5). It wasn't anything amazing. Some of the fries were undercooked. I would say above average bar fare. Waitress was very pleasant. She seemed a bit new as she wasn't sure about all items on the menu. Ambiance is nice. It was a little bright. Nice they had the fireplaces going. Parking on a busy night is a bit of a task as there are only two small parking lots so plan on car pooling if possible or get a ride share. read more

We have always really liked Mo's and it was our go-to place when we didn't know what we were in the mood for. Unfortunately, our past few trips have been underwhelming. Our most recent visit has been the worst. Busy and loud in the main dining area on a Friday night. Positive that they're busy, right?! We ordered drinks then our food. Our server didn't seem to care much about being there but wasn't rude or anything. Asked for a bowl of soup (server asked if we wanted it first, which we said yes). Within 3 minutes (literally), our burger and French dip were brought to our table. Pretty disappointing to know it was likely microwaved. A few minutes later, our server walked out with our bowl of soup. The food tasted okay, but not great. Overall, on a busy Friday night, we were probably out within 35-45 minutes. We always liked being able to enjoy a pint and the ambiance. Needless to say, we are not in a hurry to go back. read more

Okay, so I wasn't blown away or floored by Mo's. But I wasn't disappointed either. They checked all the right boxes for me and delivered what I needed. My son graduated from UW-Milwaukee on a Sunday. We wanted to find a place where we could possibly get outdoor seating, and Mo's looked perfect. AND their menu was so diverse, everyone should find something to enjoy. I had an issue with an online request for "group dining" (admittedly, it was my fault). THAT MORNING, I stopped by (hotel was a few blocks away) and talked to some nice folks there and they said "no problem". Granted, the place is HUGE, but with a Brewer game that day (and other graduates), I didn't know how hard it would be to get in. So, we were set. Graduation ended and we rolled up to Mo's. Plenty of space for us. They had us booked for outside, but the outside area was closed off. Someone didn't move our party inside and we were basically dropped off their planner. But they threw some tables together in a jiff and got us situated. Nice save. The food was really good. I got a buffalo chicken salad and really enjoyed it. Those who ordered the french dip were quite happy with that. In all, everyone was happy with their food (which was the point!). The staff were very friendly and attentive. We couldn't have asked for more. Mo's is on our Milwaukee radar now. It's in a great location. It's clean. The food is good. The staff are friendly. Sounds 5-star to me! read more

They started serving breakfast not that long ago so I thought that I would stop over and try some. The place has been a long time bookmark for me so it was nice to finally get over and I really liked the place with an out door patio and a big wood bar. Lots of wood everywhere with a cool a high ceiling and huge fireplace. The breakfast menu is one page but if has a nice variety to choose from. I was going to keep it simple and get the two eggs with sausage that comes with potatoes and toast. I felt like a Bloody Mary while I waited for my breakfast to come and it was average with two green olives. My breakfast hit the table and It looked pretty good I thought with plump sausage links. The potatoes were pretty good because they were diced and deep fried with a hot soft center and crispy outside. My eggs were perfect sunny side up with a nice high yoke. My toast was sourdough and not the artisan good kind but ok. The plump sausage links were just average with a casing and lean so not greasy at all. It was nice to go out again and have a nice leisurely breakfast with a Bloody Mary to start my Saturday. read more

I dined on the Chicken-n-Mac. It was a combination of dry fried chicken nuggets that were cut and placed on top of a flavorless cream sauce with lukewarm spiral noodles. I'd go a different route if you are considering this dish. Nice Irish bar ambiance and fantastic waitstaff. read more

I like Mo's a lot. I haven't been since I left WI in 2013, but I started coming when this one opened. I got to go food. The food is excellent. One thing to note, don't put the soup in the top layer of the to go bag. That should be in the bottom, less risk of falling. Mine fell in the car. Most was ok, some mess. My grilled cheese didn't fare so well (in the same box). I ordered other food that was soggy when I got back to my place, but it did better as leftovers when I heated it up (cheese curds and fried pickles). I love the tomato soup and fancy grilled cheese. Service is good. I ordered online, and it took about 7-10 minutes longer than I was told. That's fine. The line to be seated said 45 minutes. read more

we had our 55th reunion for the Class of 1969 Brown Deer High School at Mo's Pub on Bluemound last Saturday in the Library. Mike the general manager really helped us setup a low key event. We had approximately 50 people and all were served Ala Carte by very attentive servers who saw to our every need. The food was great and drinks plentiful. What a fun restaurant! Much bigger than the pubs that I've been to in Ireland, but that's America for you. Of course, Guinness on draft was excellent. My fish and chips hit the spot, too. Great tasting batter that didn't overshadow the fish. I sprinkled a generous helping of Malt vinegar on everything other than the slaw. Just my love for Malt vinegar--I wasn't trying to kill the taste of anything, just enhancing the taste. I also didn't taste the tarter sauce, but the entree comes with some. It also comes with a slice of rye bread, but who needs that with all the fries? I handed mine to the hubby who was having Shepherds pie. It must have been good as there were no leftovers not even a crumb. This pub has a large patio outside, but I loved the pub atmosphere interior. Service was great! Huge parking lot across the street. When traveling I tend to focus on choosing either Indian or Irish food. Maybe I just like the feel of an Irish pub, even if it's not in Ireland. This pub fits the bill as an American-style Irish pub. They have a good selection of beers, both from Ireland and Wisconsin. They pour the Triumvirate of Smithwick's, Guinness and Harp lager. I believe they also have Murphy's on tap sometimes. The food is solid pub fare with fish and chips and shepherd's pie available as well as other choices. The parking lot was full when we arrived only 15 minutes after happy hour ended. Service was fast and efficient. My shepherd's pie tasted great and my Smithwick's ale was very refreshing. A very satisfying meal. Worth another visit when I'm in town again. read more

Yesterday my family had a celebration of life party at Mos Irish Pub & everything was excellent! The service was outstanding, never once did anybody have to wait on anything. The food was hot and ready to eat when everybody got there. If you never got a chance to eat at Mos Irish Pub before your definitely missing out! We were heading back west after being downtown and needed some lunch. Our first choice on Bluemound was closed so we cruised the street and the idea of Mo's came up. So we stopped. We wanted a quiet spot to talk and grabbed a booth in the almost empty bar area. The hostess/waitress/dishwasher (I think Christina?) did a great job of keeping us happy. Two of us ordered the french dip - one with fries (very good) and one with a side salad (very healthy). The dip was very good but we needed more au jus which our server promptly got for us when we waved her over. Thumbs up! The third member got the gyro which was so big he took 1/2 home for dinner. He liked it a lot. A very good experience. (Side note: do all of these newer Irish pubs have the same architect? There is a place in Sun Prairie, Erin's, that looks almost the same from the exterior. Went to MO's for lunch with some coworkers and it was okay. The atmosphere is pretty loud and it was super busy when we went for lunch. Their menu has good options and the portions aren't too big. I got a French dip which was not too bad. If you end up getting one, make sure you mo it up with cheese, jalapeños, and corn. Overall, if you are look for a place with bar food and a sport pub atmosphere than Mos is a good place to go. read more

It was Saturday night, the weather was feeling distinctly autumnal (rainy, cool, rustling leaves--the complete autumn works), and I was in the mood for takeout. But, not just any takeout. It had to be something that coordinated perfectly with the fall weather (soup, stew, or comfort food of some sort). As I perused Yelp, we decided Irish food was sufficiently autumn cozy and searched for a spot nearby. Enter Mo's and their shepherd's pie. Bonus? You can order takeout right from the Yelp app. I ordered some shepherd pie for takeout. I'm writing this during COVID-19 and upon my arrival at Mo's, was happy to see they offered curbside pickup if you wish. We grabbed our shepherd's pie (three of us ordered the same), which came with a side of rye bread (swirled and perfectly lovely). For takeout, the shepherd's pie is a visual mess. But, once you get past the looks of the dish, it's a flavorful delight (all beefy stew topped in garlic mashed potatoes). It was exactly what I was hoping for. Get to it! read more
