If going with a large group, best to call ahead to make a reservation. They're very good at accommodating even when they're very busy which they are all day on weekends and mornings on the weekdays. If it's your first time here and not sure what to order, the Uncle Joey's and Florence Italy omelets are delicious. The pancakes are awesome and huge. Grabbed breakfast here while we were visiting family in December and were really pleased to find a funky place so close to where we were staying. Corned beef hash was excellent, enchilada omelette was great, and service was friendly and quick. Coffee cake was a little dry, but tasty regardless and a nice little bonus for visiting. Elvis french toast was also very good, but had spots where it was a little bland -- mostly it just seemed to rely on filling for flavor, the french toast itself wasn't particularly memorable. Visited 4/15/15. Great breakfast! I had a breakfast special -- 2 eggs, 2 bacon or sausage and 1/2 waffle. The half waffle was as big as a full-size waffle elsewhere and very good. My husband said best waffle he's had in a long time. I love how they serve it with melted butter so you can pour a bit into each square :) My husband had the "Pay you Tuesday" scramble and he really enjoyed it. The breakfast here has large proportions! I ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs and could not finish the meal at all. It comes with a large biscuit and coffee cake. The coffee cake was super sweet but they give you enough so you don't get sick of it. The place was packed when me and my friends got there but the wait wasn't too bad. Solid down home breakfast. Hands, Heads, Fists, and Torsos above Penfolda. Staff is amazingly friendly and accommodating even when under the gauntlet of the morning rush. If you've never seen a septuagenarian get egg anger, you will never understand. These guys and gals do though, and shine through with poise and class. This review is unbiasedly based on my experience. First impression: the restaurant is big and it has a cool, positive energy to it. Servers are young and my boyfriend and I did not wait long to be seated (less than 10 mins). As I sat, I read the local paper (we drove 30 mins to get here, based on the good reviews) and I couldn't help but get excited when I saw how colorful the food looked and how huge the portions looked. Menu: a big amount of things to choose from. Unless you are ordering from the kids' menu, do not expect to pay less than $10 for your entree (unless you get something more basic, like eggs, bacon & 1/2 order of pancakes... around $8). Some of the cheaper options include a small juice or coffee. Options vary from omelettes with clever names to eggs benedict, sandwiches and burgers. Sadly, even though the portion sizes will guarantee you leftovers, they throw in a $3.50 charge to split a meal. You be the judge of what you think about that.. Service: it was a bit more of a wait for service, but I am not docking for this since our server was upbeat and friendly. They could use a couple extra servers or bussers but that's just my opinion since they seem stretched pretty thin. Our table was nice and clean and I was impressed with the bathrooms. While they only have 2 stalls for a big restaurant, you can see a clipboard which shows they check for cleanliness every 30 mins. 5 stars for the bathroom. The FOOD: One star for the free coffee cake you get after you order because -if you are like me- I really look forward to having a good meal, esp. when a place has such high ratings. I ordered: * 2 eggs (scrambled) * 1/2 order french toast (perfect portion) * 2 strips of bacon * free cup of coffee What I got: a solid Looking plate of food for $8. The french toast was dry and my boyfriend (who normally hijacks my food) kept his hands to himself, after I showed him that the FT had no moisture to it. There was no batter- it tasted like bread. Still I move on, the bacon was inedible. It was hard and I should have sent my whole plate back, but it wasn't worth it to me. I figured I'd just do what couples do and try to steal His food instead. Hehe... My boyfriend ordered: * Spanish omelette w/ country potatoes * biscuit w/ gravy on side. What he got: a massive and colorful plate of food. After I had eaten my entire coffee cake and then sampled my failed plate of cold food, I moved on to try his food. All the people around us looked so cheerful and content so I stayed optimistic and hopeful. My boyfriend was doing the full lean back in his chair so I knew it was time to swoop in and start eating off his plate. Upon closer inspection, I saw that his omelette lacked any type of flair, so it was visual false advertising. Yes, the eggs were fluffy but the omelette consisted of eggs, swiss cheese, and half an avocado. There were no vegetables or meat mixed in with the eggs or folded in. I was baffled. I tried the watery salsa and experienced a side of canned stewed tomatoes mixed in with jalepeno peppers. I cannot comment on the potatoes, biscuit, or gravy since I didn't try them. Conclusion: come here if you want but be very cautious about what you order. I will give this place the benefit of the doubt and assume that maybe we just ordered the wrong things off the menu. Still, I would not come out here again, even if it was 10 mins down the street. This place is (sadly) overrrated. read more

So good!! We were needing a good breakfast before heading home, and this place had so many good reviews and good looking pictures. And, we couldn't say no to complimentary coffee cake with your coffee! There was quite a crowd waiting when we arrived around 11am on a Sunday morning, but we only waited about 15 minutes for a patio seat (dog friendly, yay!). We all ordered different things, but everything looked and tasted delicious. Breakfast entrees were around $11-13 and came with very generous portions- we all had leftovers. We ordered an italian omelette (said it was very good), bisquits and gravy (not enough sausage in the gravy), SOS scramble (not enough meat in the gravy), pancakes (delicious). Then I ordered a glass of milk. They charged me $4.00 for a small glass of milk. I figured if I paid that much, it would be in a larger glass, but nope . $4.00!! Come on.
