She could tell I was in dire straights at the time. She checked and was able to get me in that day. From the moment I walked in the door I knew I would be highly satisfied. My elderly mother is new to Texas and ended up with a toothache. She just switched her insurance and I'm located in California, so I had to rely on yelp to find a dentist. The first time I called a lady answered and stated they didn't take my mother dental insurance. I hung up but something said call back. Veronica answered, took my mothers information and stated she would call back. She did. I was able to connect Veronica, my mother and I on a conference call while we set up her next appointment which we were offered two options all within 48 hours. Veronica was very patient, kind and professional. My mother was able to see Dr.Ruiz within a couple of days and she was pleased with the care. Worst dental hygienist ever. she got upset with me because I asked her why she needed to do more X-rays since it had only been 8 months. She got very defensive and aggressive with me. Against my better judgement I allowed her to clean my teeth. She was very rough during my cleaning. sShe caused me a lot of pa while drilling and with the water pick. Ever since that day I have been having problems with my front teeth. The doctor told me there was a small fracture there. I truly believe it was caused by the dental hygienist. I have left there practice along with my entire family. Moral of the story don't ask them questions. I know hygienist are hard to find but that is No excuse to injure a patient. Would never refer anyone to them. Shame on you. read more

I am that redhead. Yes anesthetic doesn't last as long and it takes more and yes when I say I am starting to feel it...I am starting to feel it. When I mentioned that to Dr. Mike he didn't flinch. He worked out a great plan to accomplish everything we needed to and was very conscientious of my time limits. He not only heard what I said but acknowledged it and worked hard to make sure that I didn't suffer needlessly. This is the best office and staff I have encountered. I had my wisdom teeth removed the same day. I was extremely nervous about the whole procedure but Dr.Mike was very understanding and reassured me the whole time that everything will be okay. He was very gentle and I never felt any pain during the injections or the procedure. He sent me home with medications and post operative instructions. My recovery went really smooth I did not experience any pain afterwards and a few days later I was eating regularly. I recommend this office to many friends and family that continue to be patients till this day. I've had billing issues with them from over charging me for a procedure and then charging a PPE fee. The dentist is amazing but it is the front office/billing that makes it difficult to want to go back. After chasing someone around to figure out what is going on with the error in billing and catching an error in their coding it gives me trust issues. Excellent dentist with a lovely rare bedside manner. This is a huge rarity, and I'm glad to find Dr. Seo and his practice. His dental assistant & office manager are both wonderful. But. I'm a bit shocked at the inconsistent service of their front desk lady Evelyn. Instead of handling things in a normal professional tone, she has odd passive-aggressive behaviors and attitude randomly. As in, from the 1st time I called their office with a dental emergency, she was misstating details, being lackadaisical, yet getting attitude to the person calmly clarifying? Ok, interesting.) At my last appointment, she made my follow-up appointment upon check-out. I asked at the time, & also called later to check if there was an earlier availability than April 4th. No luck. However, I've gotten confirmation texts of the April 4th appt. Today she calls me up & says I have a mistakenly-scheduled appt. on a Sunday, 4/9 by the answering service. It should be no problem to iron this out. However, she chooses to lie & get combative instead of working towards understanding. She tells me the April 4th is not there, she never made that appt. She also did *not* say, "I'm sorry, I don't remember how we scheduled you that day," no, she says "Maybe it was someone else at the desk. I didn't check you out-maybe it was the office manager Veronica." As I remind her of how we spoke, or me commenting on her cute makeup that day, she gets more insistent and says "No, I didn't check you out" still trying to talk about all that. Um, WHY are we doing this mam, instead of just aiming for resolution? I'm just trying to get some things taken care of- I'm not looking for anything extra, nor to relive SW Houston middle school days. read more

Everyone here is awesome. I had two wisdom teeth taken out and it was seriously the best dental experience I have ever had. The surgery itself went by smoothly and fast (1 hour exactly!), obviously the healing is what sucked but that's expected. I did not do the laughing gas and i am very happy with that decision because I felt NOTHING. A little pressure but no pain whatsoever. The doctor kept checking on me to make sure I was ok and I got to watch my favorite show on Netflix through the whole thing. After we were done he answered all my questions and concerns and they even checked on me a few hours after I had already left. Definitely will make this my official dentist and will always recommend. I would like to say sorry for the 1 star review since Yelp does not allow me to post 2 separate reviews. First I would like to give 5 stars to Fran, Dr Mike and James, the temporary hygienist who took care of my deep cleaning for first half of my teeth in my first visit. They are very friendly, professional, detail-oriented and patient. James explained what he was going to do and what to expect. He is very passionate and loves what he does, that's why he makes sure I get the care I deserve. One example was when I told him I have very low pain tolerance, when I was getting anesthesia shots, he padded on my shoulder to distract me from focusing on the needle punctures. Small act made tremendous impact. As a patient, I feel I was in the right hand, and make my experience so much more enjoyable. At the end of the deep cleaning, James took the post X-ray making sure he got everything out. There was 2 residues seen in the post X-ray so James went back to clean them out for me. I was very pleased and happy that I finally found the right dental office to have my teeth taken care of. Then here comes my second visit for the second half of my teeth, everything was the opposite of what I expect. 1 star for Trista, the hygienist who took care of the deep cleaning for my second half. First she roughly swap the gel to numb my gum prepping for anesthesia shots, I informed her that I have very low pain tolerance, I barely feel the numbness so I requested for more gel, she told me this won't make any difference as you will feel the pain anyways. The entire deep cleaning process was only 30mins compared to 1hr15 in my first visit. Even the routine cleaning of the lady sat next to me took longer than my deep cleaning. When I came out of the room, she was still in her room even she was called in b4 me. I felt like Trista rushed through it. She was rushing to take out the suction twice when there was still water & blood in my throat, I choked & coughing so hard, almost aspirated. Then at the end, I asked if she was gonna take post xray when she told me I was all done. She said "may be that's how James does his deep cleaning but that's not how I do mine since I'm pretty confident that I got everything out!". I mean this is not the first time I have deep cleaning, the pre & post X-ray is standard in all dental offices. Then when I asked if we could take the post X-ray for my peace of mind since I went through all the pain for this. Her face turned color, she got frustrated, & took an X-ray of my front half. On the X-ray with only 2 teeth showing, she said "there! All clean!" I gave up, didn't feel like going back & forth because I know I won't be coming back for her to take care of me. As a healthcare professional, I always put myself in my patient's shoes to know my patient's expectations and provide the best quality cares as if I was the patient myself. James & Dr Mike are in that category. But not Trista. I'm sure she won't want the care I received from her today if she was at a dental office or in a hospital. I hope after this review there will be a change in practice because everything and everyone else in that office was wonderful. So if anyone is looking to have procedures done, this is where to go, Dr Mike does all the procedures! Unfortunately, he doesn't do cleaning so if u are looking to do routine cleaning or deep cleaning, look somewhere else. read more

My Hygienist , Trista was thorough and efficient. Teeth never felt better. I think perhaps she's the manager but she texted us asking "Are you coming? " How about a phone call and doing it the professional way. came on a tuesday appt was for 1145 and it's 1215 now and still have not been called back. the receptionist has told me twice in the whole time that they will be with me shortly. i came early to even fill out paper work at 11. finally i was pulled back about an hour later and the hygienist started doing x-rays and cleaned my teeth. the dr came after and explained to me everything. the rates with my insurance for fillings is more reasonable than the other dentists in the area. would come back again to have filling done. read more

I recently moved from Hawaii to katy and wanted to find a dentist. I am not one that loves going and had a slight phobia about going to one ever since I had a bad experience. I know going to see a dentist is very important... yeahhhhh important. So like a good student, I read up, did searches on Facebook groups and found DR Seo. I decided to choose him as my dentist because of his proximity to my house, he seemed well liked by his patients, and was fairly young (so hopefully he won't retire soon and leave me to find another dentist anytime soon). His office blew me away. The technology was amazing. His bed side manner is awesome. His front desk person is very pleasant. Plus the parking was free and plentiful. I've been looking for a new dentist and was excited to find Dr. Seo and his staff at Morton Ranch Dental. The office was clean and modern with amenities like private rooms, a tv to watch during my cleaning and laughing gas that made my appointment stress free and relaxing. During my consultation Dr. Seo pointed out some areas of concern, but he wasn't pushing any particular course of treatment. He let me know that he would monitor the problem areas and alert me when an intervention was needed. It really felt like he was putting himself in my shoes as a patient. Nobody likes going to the dentist, but it's something we all have to do. I had two wisdom teeth that were driving me up a wall from pain and discomfort, so I came to MRD to see Dr. Seo for a second opinion on what could be done. I don't have insurance and I was quoted a much lower price for the extraction than another dentist in the area I had seen - I made an appointment right away! The procedure went well, but when I got home, I noticed blood EVERYWHERE in my mouth. Dr. Seo advised me to return to the office to have a look-see and this is when things got more amazing. When I returned to the office, I started to panic, but nothing was wrong - I had just placed the gauze on the wrong spot, so that gave blood a chance to flow. Additionally, I have clinical anxiety and I was totally freaked out when I saw the blood in my mouth. I reluctantly told Dr. Seo I have anxiety, expecting him to dismiss me or ignore me, but instead, he sat down by me and did breathing exercises with me to help me feel better! When I felt a little better, he had the hygienist (I can't remember her name, but she was really nice) take me into a relaxation room with soft music, water bottles, snacks, and dim lights. I stayed there until I felt well enough to go home. That night, Dr. Seo texted me to see how I was doing and even texted me again on Saturday morning to make sure I was still doing all right. Dr. Seo is the BEST dentist I have ever seen! My grandfather was a dentist and I feel like Dr. Seo is my grandfather reincarnated - that's how comfortable I feel with him. I came to Morton ranch dental to get all 4 of my wisdom teeth extracted while being awake... let me tell you I was SO nervous.. as soon as I got there the numbing process started quickly... and he is so gentle and patient... didn't really feel a thing but pressure.. I am a pretty complicated and nervous patient and he made me feel so calm and relaxed. Seriously hands down THE NICEST dentist I have ever been to EVER. You can tell he loves to do what he does.
