But she took my call and had me laughing in no time, which really helped because I was in so much pain. A little backstory, my braces were removed in 2021. A year later, my permanent retainer was moving my teeth. My orthodontist took full blame and put braces on the bottom of my teeth to correct them. The process was finished in April. Well, the left side of my head and face became very painful. The orthodontist said the retainer mold was wrong and replaced that... Fast forward, I moved to Texas, and now I'm at the doctor's because my face is swollen, and on to the Berkeley Eye Center. I'll spare you the rest. So now, I have the kindest woman named Sherri on the phone, who I consider a friend now. She told me to come on in, she'll send the paperwork through email, and she'll see me at two. She didn't stop there; once I got there and finished the exam, I thought I had to come back for them to put the proper braces on. Nope, Sherri said we can do the braces today, and they did! I did my research and found Vita Dental and I saw good reviews for them and made an appointment for December 27, 2024. But my teeth were hurting and getting worse, so I called back on December 16, 2024 and asked if maybe they could get me in earlier. I explained that my teeth were hurting on the right side and I was concerned that things were getting worse rapidly. I explained that a 40 years old filling in one of my upper right molars had partially fallen out and that a lower right molar was hurting also. And Vita Dental gave me an appointment for the very next day! December 17, 2024! They sent me an online link to fill out my paperwork in advance so that when I got to my appointment on December 17, 2024 finishing up the paperwork was very quickly completed within 3 minutes after I walked in the door. And I was brought in on time. And everyone at Vita Dental was very kind and very welcoming and very professional. All the imaging equipment was very modern and appeared to be top of the line and brand new. And everyone really knew what they were doing. Dr. Kwon was the dentist who attended to me and I would give the highest possible rating for absolute excellence in his work and absolute care and compassion and a heart of love for his patients. Certainly that was my experience. Dr. Kwon found that there was recurrent decay under the 40 years old filling on #2 upper molar and that it would require a root canal. And Dr. Kwon found that one of my molars on the lower right had extensive recurrent decay under the crown, and would need to be extracted. Dr. Kwon referred me out to ACE Endodontics for that root canal work which I consider to be him acting in my best interest because a root canal should be done by an Endodontist because specialized equipment and specialized training are really what is needed for that work. Dr. Tennary at ACE Endodontics did a magnificent job on that root canal on December 19,2024. And I was back to Dr. Kwon at Vita Dental on December 20, 2024 for the needed extraction in which work Dr. Kwon did a magnificent job. My experience at Vita Dental, is that Dr. Kwon and his team and all the staff are very skillful and committed to absolute excellence in their work and also to care for their patients from a gentle and beautiful heart of love. Veronica answered, took my mothers information and stated she would call back. She did. I was able to connect Veronica, my mother and I on a conference call while we set up her next appointment which we were offered two options all within 48 hours. Veronica was very patient, kind and professional. My mother was able to see Dr.Ruiz within a couple of days and she was pleased with the care.
