This is a company that depends on high pressure & dishonest sales people. When Sam Pokorney told me that he was going to door dash me bottled water to use for my well test, I knew something was not right. That was one red flag. When I saw that they wanted almost $31,000 in closing costs & had the rate as adjustable to go up to 10% that was another red flag. When someone you don't know says "trust me" we won't let that happen & then you get a docusign with that exact same thing on it you know they cannot be trusted. Sam even told me that he did not know the lender sent that out. The final piece being when I tell them I do not want to proceed I get very unprofessional text messages from him. I took a call from Angela Jaryes to discuss my current issues with lending. He said he'll run a soft-pull to get numbers. I did NOT authorize him to do a hard pull and he did! I was initially going to pull some cash for, the equity in my home and started working with this company. I ended up deciding now was not the right time and backed out. they charged my debit card $600 for an appraisal that never happened and had been canceled anyway! I'm a disabled veteran on a fixed income and they left me with no money for the rest of the month (3 weeks)! I called to demand a refund and they never got back to me as promised. Avoid this company and any other company that takes advantage of disabled veterans! I was working with Noah & Melissa Barraza, for a loan consolidation. It all sounded good at first until I asked about the closing cost. He mentioned it was around 31,000 to 39,000. That sounded VERY HIGH. I got with my former financial advisor, he said it was a Extremely High. I was asked if they could do a soft pull. I agreed for a "SOFT PULL ONLY", find out a couple days later that is was a Hard Pull, as I had to explain it to the loan officer I decided I give my business too! They were also persistent on the text and phone calls when I kindly told them NO, and Thank you many times. Noah, sent me a copy of a site with good reviews. Kevin Pelky was trying to set me up on a refi. On the surface it sounded good. It would cut my interest rate from 6.625 to 5.499, sounds good until you crunch the real numbers. Though what he did not tell me was I would owe almost $10,000 more on my loan, which would be his closing costs. I would only get $30 more going to my principle, with no other financial benefit, other than getting to pay my taxes, homeowners insurance, and pmi out of my pocket each year instead of putting it in escrow. Plus it would take me almost 5 YEARS, just to get my loan balance down to where it is now. I recommend NOBODY do business with Kevin Pelky with Mortgage Pros!!! DISHONEST, PREDATORY, DO NOT DO BUSINESS!! They continuously call me pretending to be the mortgage company I am working with. They buy your contact information from the credit bureau and say that they are "partners" with the credit bureau trying to trick people into thinking they are involved in your mortgage process. They try to get you to apply through them by telling you that your information was "sent" to them so that they can handle your mortgage. They have hired young people to make these dishonest calls with a script they follow full of falsehoods. Do not, I repeat DO NOT, use this company if you are a veteran. We were told repeatedly (and we have it in writing) the the VA funding fee would NOT be charged since my husband is 100% disabled. However they put in MY certificate of eligibility instead of his and REFUSE to help resolve their mistake. Still today, months later, we are out 12,000!!! Once your loan closes DO NOT expect them to EVER take your calls again, you are "completed" in their eyes and they have NO desire to assist you again. The owner of the company was FAR more concerned with my negative review than helping us. They even rolled my deceased fathers credit card debt into MY loan and I had to get that resolved ON MY OWN. He got my interest rate lowered from 6.5 down to 5.9 got my escrow speak got my taxes fixed and get my money back in my pocket how much better can a real estate broker be, I gave him all the praise glory. The appraiser they used listed the issues we have in their report and Mortgage Pros manager Jordan wanted me to sell my car, fix my home first, and then they would do the refinance. i couldn't get him nor Sal to understand the reason I wanted to use my equity was to repair my home, not consolidate debt. All my debts will be paid off end of '24. Now instead I have to come up with the money out of pocket and repair my home before I can do a refi or even a HELOC. Do not EVER use these guys. They screwed us over through their appraiser; they don't listen to what the customer's needs or wants are. They are just in it to pad their bottom line and make the customer go through hoops and spend money they don't have before they get a deal.
