However, I learned later that he is not the best communicator or attorney and he was always influenced by the opposing council! Moreover, he looked very nervous and uncomfortable/ lacked confidence speaking in court. He does not pay attention to the details. He was more interested in sharing my financial information with the opposing council than getting my spouse's financial disclosure. Due to his poor planning and strategies, he had a lot of trouble getting the opposing council to respond to his emails or his phone calls. My spouse changed attorneys twice and he was out lawyered by both. He made several legal mistakes costed me thousands of dollars. The divorce was final three months ago, but I am still going back and forth to court (of course with different attorney) because the divorce judgement has many loose ends he was oblivious to and I am paying dearly for his mistakes. By the way, the divorce was final and I still do not know my ex's financial disclosure. I asked him to request her bank statements two months before the divorce date. He requested them via e-Mail from the opposing council! of course she ignored his request as he was supposed to file his request through the court system. In fact, a couple of weeks before the divorce date, I asked him if he requested them through a motion, he lied and said "yes but we will not get them on time". He never did file a formal request. I am legally divorced but because of the terrible judgment of divorce, I do not feel divorced as my wife is in my house every other day due to the loose ends. Merrill' is merely a paper pusher. He made me feel so desperate, I ended up giving up almost everything in order to get out. After all the mistakes he made he charged me little over $22K. It was totally waste of money. He would run the bill by calling me to change the wording of a document when the changes do not change the substance. One advice "if you see his name RUN AWAY as fast as you can.

He said he sent a review of the lease in writing, and he sent the lease back, but the notes included were blank. We set up a time for a phone consultation. We sent him a google calendar link to confirm, he never answered. At the appointed time he was not there. He called later and said why wern't we their. We ask for a $300 refund (not much money for a lawyer) and he refused. He had more energy in fighting the refund than he did is helping my son and daughter in law reviewing the business lease.
