The IRS wanted to come to my home, and ive only heard horror stories on what's done to people. Did I feel I did anything wrong??? No but it's the government, and well they do as they wish. I contacted Silver Tax Group, at 4:30 am PST, I couldn't sleep, and again everything around me crumbling, I needed help asap, Korey Waggoner basically called me at 4:45 am, on a Sunday morning, almost instantly once I hit the submit button. After an hour of QnA, I decided to hire Silver Tax Group, I paid the initial retainer fee, and I felt really comfortable with my decision. Being a complete mess, I had to send tons of paperwork for both years, sort it , organize it, send it, took me months, I'm not sure on what the IRS wanted so I just sent everything, and I mean everything probably close to 10k in pages, of ledgers, receipts, estimates. Invoices, so on an so forth. The price to hire STG seemed fair in the sense that they took over all communications, and handled everything in and out, this made me feel comfortable. Being under audit for 2 years and you have no idea on why, tends to make you go through the what ifs, what if did this wrong, what if I loose my house, what's family going to think i'f me if I did something wrong that their lifes suffered for it. This no way to wake up feeling every day, it's not good for your mind. Body, or just overall well being. STG, worked with me on a payment plan, and it was doable, during the course of the audit, I had so many questions, between Korey, Attorney Cowan, Julie... they all answered my questions, never got angry by me asking so many, just duis their best to make me feel comfortable. After almost a year, IRS concluded my meals for both years were declined, when you think you could possibly loose everything, owe millions, and you find out you didn't do anything wrong, it's a great feeling, I would certainly recommend STG to anyone in the same situation. To preface this review: Wolverine Tax did a great job of organizing our tax returns and handling…read morethe complications of a multi-state and newly married household. Our phone call to finalize the return was friendly, efficient, and professional. My issue with Wolverine Tax is their misleading price structure. My wife and I were told that our $650 deposit would cover 2 hours of consultation and we would only pay more if our return took more time. Before putting down the money, we told them our tax situation and were assured that our return ("like most") would stay within the 2 hour time. We sent in the requested forms and scheduled a call to go over our returns. Wolverine didn't properly enter the first call, but after scheduling a second call they were ready. The call was around 20 minutes, and the total time of consultation wasn't mentioned at all. We ended the call happy with our completed return and expected that our $650 was well spent. This was in late March. In early June, we receive an invoice for $893.75. We had received no information about how this time was spent, or a notice when we had exceeded our deposit. When we contacted them to dispute the charge, they were slow to respond. When we got a hold of them over the phone, they said 'You must have gone 4-5 hours over the time.' Eventually, they dropped the outstanding balance to $250 and we paid it to end the situation. If you are willing to pay $1500 for your tax return, I can absolutely recommend Wolverine Tax. They did quality work, but do not expect to pay $650 even if they assure you of that price from the start.

We have had so many friends migrate to him and they are loyal to him. Just had our 2019 taxes done with him tonight. Happy with the results to come, as always. I have had my taxes done in the past by Deloitte, Jackson Hewitt, H&R and have even done them myself on TurboTax for a few years. That is until I took my TurboTax returns that I had filled out myself back in 2017, though not yet submitted to give to Patrick to see if he was able to get me back an additional amount more, he was able to get back a decent amount more, all the while staying conservative, per my request. I had promised him I would switch to him if he could get me more than I could on my own. He delivered. Patrick's always the friendliest, amenable, positive, easy going, honest and most trustworthy accountant I have ever met. He's been doing my taxes ever since. He's always straight forward, will tell you what documents he needs, is very clear and succinct about the taxable amounts, applicable deductions. Before he has you sign the form to send for federal and state taxes, he will run through the form and explain any questions that might come up. He does it so quick, makes me think he could do it in his sleep, he's so amazingly fast. Then again he does this daily and does as many as 10 a day. He is a hard worker, knows his stuff and it shows. Patrick is surely to become your best friend. He will even help educate you amid and along your tax process. He's clear about his forms of payments: checks or credit cards are accepted. He will explain the rates before or afterwards, your preference. It will feel like a good friend is handling your taxes. You will never regret making this pivotal move to have your taxes done by the Magi of CPAs. He's a wizard and I am so grateful to know him and trust my taxes to him.
