Pros & Cons. For anyone new to the industry & young this could be a good place to start. If you don't tolerate any nonsense, Mortgage Pros isn't for you. This company makes you sign & agree that you will "not working at any mortgage company 25 miles away for a year after not working here" & the rude recruitment employee Valerie will demand you sign this when she calls you. She email it during the call. She'll also host the orientation extremely unprofessional. They have well over 500 employees here bouncing 2 floors in the building all taking lunch at the exact same time which means it's clusterville especially at the cramped elevators smh They have snarky young managers such as Cass that'll micro manage non company policies only encouraging those that don't comply to quit. Yes a normalized hostile disrespectful environment LIVES HERE DAILY!! Many employees here will be quick to let you know they have authority to boss you around even when unnecessary. Although they will pay to train you here to get your Mortgage license here. HR wont resolve any issues you brought to their attention, instead you'll be harassed & excluded until you leave. I recently interviewed with this company, and unfortunately, it was one of the most disappointing experiences I've ever had. While the building itself gives off a professional impression--especially upon exiting the elevator--the moment I stepped into the lobby, that image quickly unraveled. The space was filled with loud, explicit rap music and an overpowering scent of cheap cologne, both of which made the environment feel chaotic and unwelcoming. No one acknowledged me when I arrived. I stood there for nearly 20 minutes before the interviewer finally appeared. His demeanor was noticeably uncomfortable--he sat slouched in his chair, avoided eye contact, and never once glanced at the resume I had brought. It was clear that my professionalism, confidence, and presentation didn't align with the culture of the organization. Based on what I experienced, I would not feel comfortable trusting this company with something as important as a mortgage process nor would I represent this company as an employee. The atmosphere was unprofessional, and while I doubt I'll hear back from them, I've already taken the precaution of blocking future contact. This was my personal in-person experience. read more

I was initially impressed with Mortgage Pros when they brought me in and I attended their training class. The instructor was excellent--very knowledgeable, engaging, and effective in preparing us for the licensing exam. Thanks to that solid foundation, I passed my exam without issue. However, things took a disappointing turn once I entered the next phase, a coaching program known as "The Pit." Unfortunately, the experience there was completely different. The manager of The Pit is a micromanager who frequently uses foul language and demonstrates an unprofessional and demoralizing leadership style. His coaching approach was not only ineffective but also toxic and disrespectful. I genuinely wanted to grow and succeed in this business, but the hostile and unprofessional environment made it impossible. I couldn't last more than a week in The Pit due to the lack of proper leadership and the overall negative atmosphere. It's unfortunate because the company has potential and the training started off strong. But unless there are serious changes in how new agents are coached and treated, I wouldn't recommend this path to others. read more

I recently had an experience with MortgagePros after entering my information online to explore refinancing options. Unlike other companies that reached out right away, it took them two weeks to contact me. The call quality was poor when they finally did, with excessive background noise and a bad connection due to their VoIP system. I couldn't understand their introductions, and they hung up on me when I mentioned that. I tried calling back several times to learn more about their offerings, but each time I reached them, they answered and immediately hung up again. As a business owner, I know this is a terrible way to treat a potential client. If I want to earn someone's business, I would never handle things this way. If this is how they treat people from the start, it raises serious concerns about how they might handle things later if you become a client. It feels like they're more focused on churning through leads than building real relationships, and that's not a good sign. I don't know how I got on their list but I get daily calls and keep asking them to STOP. Of course they say they will but don't take me off their list. One guy called this am and I got so upset at him he told me to calm down so he could talk to me - CALM DOWN! You never tell a woman to calm down. I usually just answer - there is a delay before they say hello and I know it's them so I just set the phone down - they eventually hang up. Sorry guys - I can keep this up longer than you....... This company is a scam. My advice to you is to stay away from them. They will deceive you and misinform you so you can pay for appraisals and other things just to tell you at the end that the terms changed because of something else they would come up with. The name of the 2 agents who scammed me were supposedly Savio Yousef and Carlson Shammami. I believe all the good reviews are fake. I hope you don't get scammed like I did. I would give them zero stars if I could. I will be filing a TCPA lawsuit for harassment if they do not quit calling me. I have told them EVERY SINGLE DAY, multiple times per day, to quit calling. I am not interested in doing business with them, but they will not leave me alone. If I had ever considered doing business with them, I certainly would not now. I'm not even sure how they got my name/number. But they better lose it quick because I am logging every single call from this moment forward. I just finished a refinance with mortgage pros. Jake did a great job with everything from working to expedite the process to taking control of the company that held the loan at the time ( Village Capital ) the difference between the 2 companies is night and day.
