I wish I could give this place 0 stars, what a waste of a day... We arrived at 1:30pm, the hostess said that she had been waiting all day to go to the restroom, so I said, "oh by all means, go ahead," thinking that we would wait about 5-10 minutes. Over 20 minutes pass, we're wondering if she fell in or something. Finally, my sister-in-law goes up to the bar to ask if someone will come take our order. The waitress at the bar comes over to take our order.
At 1:54pm our waitress reappears! She comes over to our table and says, "what would you like to drink?" and we let her know that the lady at the bar already took our orders, to which she flusteredly replies, "Oh yes, she let me know that, I'll go get your drinks right now." She comes back with our drinks and says, "and what would you like to eat?" and to which we said, "she already took our food order, too". Our waitress says, "oh ok, let me go check on your order." We see her run around to the only 2 other tables that have any customers sitting there, placing ketchup bottles on those tables. The bar was about 80% full, but the rest of the restaurant had only 3 tables of 2, 3, and 4 people at each table respectively.
At 2:13pm our food arrives at our table. We ask, "where's our appetizer?" to which she replied, "oh, she didn't tell me about the appetizer." Our order should have been put in, and at the point when our waitress finally reappeared, it should have just been delivered. We sat there hungry and thirsty for a full 24 minutes before we even got our drinks (on a day like today, which was "hot as balls" out).
At 2:23 the dressing my mother-in-law asked for arrived at the table, and a few minutes after that, our appetizer. It was nearly 30 minutes before our waitress took our order, and nearly 1 hour before we got our meal after sitting down.
My husband reminded me that the last time we went there the food was decent but the service was slow. Well, this was the last time we'll ever go there again. Too bad because they are just down the street from us. The poor waitress at the bar gave us this, "I'm so sorry" look when we tried to pay... she ended up getting our check for us. We ended up walking back up to the bar with credit card to pay, asking for the manager on duty - there was none. A manager should have been there, and should have let that waitress in the pink shirt just go home, she was clearly having issues that day and really needed to not be at work, because she was basically not working. Our waitress only showed her face when it was time to collect the tip. It was ridiculous. A complete waste of an afternoon. We finally got out of there at 3:27 after paying the bill. At one point while waiting for the bill, one person in our group said, we should just walk right out of here right now... but we didn't, we actually went up to the bar to pay for our meal before leaving, before that sh*t show of getting the roundabout to check out and pay so we could just go home and write off this place FOREVER.
Save yourself the trouble, especially save yourself the precious hours of your life that this place will steal from you, for just a couple of sandwhich wraps and a simple pasta dish. So not worth your time. Perhaps the bar is better... that area looked hopping with quiet zombie-faced people with their eyes glued to the screens. Maybe it's the place to go for drinks in the middle of the day, but it's certainly not a place to go for a meal, and especially not with your family. read more
