Meh... It looks like it should be a great little place. It has all the roadside charm and old-timey appeal, but I can't say I was impressed. We waited at the hostess stand for almost 5 minutes before anyone even made eye contact with us to be seated. I almost left at that point. When we were finally acknowledged, it didn't even come with a warm greeting. As for the food, it's kinda pricey and not the greatest. I ordered a fried clam strip dinner. Honestly, I should have sent it back to the kitchen but I just wasn't in the mood. The clams were not crispy and possibly underdone. I found a couple pieces with a little wet batter. Kinda gross. I finished my beer and left only eating a handful of my meal. A good server would notice the plate hardly gone and inquire if something was wrong. Nope. Sorry folks! The food is fantastic! Whole belly clams & perfectly prepared haddock as well as extensive Irish fare. I don't crow much about fried chicken but it's possibly the best I've ever had. We prefer to order carry out as the restaurant is always filled to capacity and very loud. Very courteous staff and carry outs are generally well packed & complete once you arrive home to savor. read more

The service and ambiance are very good. The drinks are also very good. The food is very mediocre. I ordered chicken parmesan in a marsala sauce. The marsala sauce tasted like it was out of the jar and the chicken was so salty it was inedible. Another day I got their pot pie. The lamb was almost tasteless. This is a great local restaurant and local Wolfeboro pub. Our food was delicious and our waitress was wicked delightful even if she forgot to order my soup. It was delicious when it arrived as everything we ordered. This is well worth a stop to take in local culture. From the vintage varnished pine booths, to the waitresses who thought everything we asked about was WICKED good it was a fun evening out for these 2 local women. The white chocolate bread pudding with caramel sauce and whipped cream is over the top heavenly. You can't go wrong at this local establishment. It's a winner. read more

I am not giving this one star because of the food as my husband and I never got to eat there. We recently bought in the area and we wanted to try the steakhouse, we mistakingly went to the other Morrissey's which is also owned by them and they directed us to the steakhouse. It was 7:30 PM last night finally we found a place with some difficulty and were starving!! We entered in and we were told rather rudely I'm sorry we can no longer see anybody we don't have enough staff!! Really Not enough staff we know that things come up with restaurants but honestly it was the way we were told so rudely. We decided to try Club 59 on a whim and are very pleased that we did. We thought it was going to be much more fancy and instead it's very welcoming and friendly. Our waitress was great - friendly and helpful without being fake. Check their website for special nights - tonight's special was $3 margaritas and they were very good - if I wasn't driving home, I would have gotten a second! I got the mixed grill with steak tips and shrimp, with two sides - mac 'n cheese and sweet potato wedges - our waitress told us the mac 'n cheese was really good, but I found it just so-so. The steak tips and shrimp were nicely cooked and had a good flavor, the sweet potato wedges were a little over done, but still tasted good. My husband had the special steak tips and cheese sub with a side of fries. I thought they were a little skimpy on the fries, but they were freshly made and tasted good. He said his sandwich was really good (Must have been, he didn't offer me a bite!). We decided to splurge and have two of their dessert shooters - he had the triple chocolate and I had the berry berry - both were delicious! I enjoyed my meal very much! I had the Lobster pie - all meat, just a little cracker crumbs sprinkled over the top - it was very good! for my sides I had the baked beans and cole slaw. the beans were so/so - seemed they they were "doctored" canned beans, but I don't mind that as I like canned beans - I just expected more from a restaurant. The cole slaw was soooo good!! The flavor was wonderful with a sweet taste from some pineapple. My husband had the filet mignon - it was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing! read more

In the clubhouse of a golf course. Flat iron steak was nicely done and tender, short ribs were good and salty, petit mignon was tender. Thankfully bacon was served on the side. Service was friendly, knowledgeable and extremely good. Five stars for service, 4+ for food. Best meal we had in the lakes region. read more

Absolutely fantastic atmosphere. The owner goes above and beyond to make sure that his customers are well taken care of. Courtney is an absolutely wonderful bartender and server and will go way out of her way to make you feel at home and special. Ask for her by name! What a great place to have a function! We have eaten here of and on and always enjoy it. Highly recommend the Monday cheeseburger special for $6.00. Amazing! Delicious burger comes with your choice of French fries, onion rings, mac and cheese, etc. Tonight the place was really crowded, with a couple of huge parties. There were just two server/bartenders and they did an incredibly good job of serving everybody. Brynn and Becky are excellent. Brynn's mom had come in early to help set up for a party of 40, but had to help the two girls. Seems that the management needs to be better prepared for crowds. read more

This place is a hidden gem. We were very pleased with our visit. For whatever reason service tends to be an after thought in Wolfeboro, but not at Club 59. Our waitress was great and easily gave us the best service of our trip. The dinner was just as good as anything we had elsewhere and at a fraction of the cost. A winning combination in my book that deserves more attention from those looking for a good meal in the area. read more
