Their price was roughly half of the price we received from other roofing contractors. They also charged about half for any replacement plywood . We were able to get replacement gutters with screening for less than we would have paid for traditional gutters with the other contractors. Doug also recommended that we replace our shutters and gave us a very good price for this. Tiger gave us a number of options for roofing shingles and even the addresses of other projects they had worked on so we could see their work and decide on the best option. We have a large house but they said they would finish the job in one day and they did. We would absolutely recommend Tiger roofing. Our roof and shutters look great and we probably saved over $20,000 by going with them.

Bill arrived at my house exactly on time. It was obvious that he has been in the industry a long time and is incredibly knowledgeable. He explained everything very well to me. He even wore boot covering the entire time so that he wouldn't dirty my floor. It couldn't have been a better experience. I've already recommended this company to a friend.

We hired Ryan & Son to perform a Level II chimney inspection during our first home purchase. The…read moreinspection day went smoothly, but afterward we really regretted working with them. They told us we'd need to fully replace the firebox and flue, and that doing so would trigger a series of code issues, recommending a full rebuild in the $15-20K range. This directly contradicted the seller's professional, who said the issues were easily repairable for closer to $7K. We eventually had to bring in in a third party, who confirmed the seller was right and said Ryan & Son seemed to be "trying to sell us way more than what was needed." We felt incredibly frustrated because we paid for clarity and guidance but ended up with more confusion, making our home-buying negotiations unnecessarily difficult. They were not in our corner, even though we paid them to be. A quick check of their Yelp reviews shows others have had similar experiences, so this doesn't seem like a one-off. I wouldn't recommend using this company if you're hoping for honest, helpful insight; especially during something as stressful as buying a home.

Edited review: I updated to add a few stars because the initial phone call was a good experience…read more Things started strong-I called to scheduled gutter cleaning, and they emailed a quote right away for cleaning and flushing of all gutters and leaders. I approved the estimate. After 4 weeks, I called them because I hadn't heard back about scheduling the job. They indicated that due to weather it would take awhile to get to my house. I do agree that the weather was difficult, and I understand the delay in scheduling the work. But when they finally came to complete the agreed-on gutter cleaning, the office called me to say that the job would cost about double what I was previously quoted. I did not interact with the service team that would do the work at my house. They did not come to my door. The office apologized for the misunderstanding about the price. It seems to me that there is something wrong in their estimating process if it takes 2 months to follow-up on an estimate and then they change their price at last minute. I did not use their service, so I can't comment on whether they can do a good job or not. But doubling the price at last minute (after they had 2 months to come out and change it earlier in this process) did leave me feeling like I didn't want to work with them. I was told by their office that they create estimates based on satellite image photos. When I spoke to the first person on the phone, she said that I have a lot of trees. I agreed. And I was fine with a reasonable price to clean the gutters. But then on the day I wrote this review, I was told that my house is bigger than described. I never described it. They looked at satellite images and came up with the price based on that. So at this point, I'm not sure where the breakdown in communication occurred but I feel letdown by the process. And there was no fixing it because from my point of view, they just changed their price when they got here and my option was to pay double or not get the job done, so I did not have the job done. I wish things had gone differently. I hope my experience is a one-off, but I do want to share that the estimating process feels confusing and disorganized from what it could be.
