We asked NJ gutter to evaluate our gutters for gutter caps. Their recommendation was to replace our gutters and add caps to prevent clogging. We accepted their recommendation and recently they completed the work. Today I removed our xmas decorations and found many scraps from the gutters. There were sharp pieces of metal in the garden, walkways and lawn. These pieces are sharp and dangerous. We have grandchildren that often play in the yard and these pieces could cause serious injury. I would not recommend NJ Gutter. read more

Edited review: I updated to add a few stars because the initial phone call was a good experience. Things started strong-I called to scheduled gutter cleaning, and they emailed a quote right away for cleaning and flushing of all gutters and leaders. I approved the estimate. After 4 weeks, I called them because I hadn't heard back about scheduling the job. They indicated that due to weather it would take awhile to get to my house. I do agree that the weather was difficult, and I understand the delay in scheduling the work. But when they finally came to complete the agreed-on gutter cleaning, the office called me to say that the job would cost about double what I was previously quoted. I did not interact with the service team that would do the work at my house. They did not come to my door. The office apologized for the misunderstanding about the price. It seems to me that there is something wrong in their estimating process if it takes 2 months to follow-up on an estimate and then they change their price at last minute. I did not use their service, so I can't comment on whether they can do a good job or not. But doubling the price at last minute (after they had 2 months to come out and change it earlier in this process) did leave me feeling like I didn't want to work with them. I was told by their office that they create estimates based on satellite image photos. When I spoke to the first person on the phone, she said that I have a lot of trees. I agreed. And I was fine with a reasonable price to clean the gutters. But then on the day I wrote this review, I was told that my house is bigger than described. I never described it. They looked at satellite images and came up with the price based on that. So at this point, I'm not sure where the breakdown in communication occurred but I feel letdown by the process. And there was no fixing it because from my point of view, they just changed their price when they got here and my option was to pay double or not get the job done, so I did not have the job done. I wish things had gone differently. I hope my experience is a one-off, but I do want to share that the estimating process feels confusing and disorganized from what it could be. read more

Very happy with the service. Contacted them on Thursday, was provided a quote and was told they would be here in the morning. With heavy rain, received an email early Friday morning asking if we can reschedule for Monday. Crew arrived at 7:45 on Monday and did an effective job. Still Currently waiting for my gutters to be installed. I understand COVID honestly but 2 months and counting is too much. I don't have a large home but I've been called multiple times saying "this week, we will call the day before" and the weeks are still passing. Seemed like they had great reviews but we have already paid in full and still waiting under false pretenses is aggravating and rude. My experience has been under par at this point. read more

After scheduling an appointment to have my gutter cleaned, they never showed up the day they were supposed to. Called again and they came the following week. Two men show up and one looked like to was recovering from all night bender. They spent 10 minutes on my roof with the leaf blower which did not get the leaves out. The downspout in the back corner of my house was left packed with leaves and my gutter over flowed in that area the next rain. Maybe their gutter installation is good, but the leaf cleaning is horrendous. I didn't even bother calling them again . Why bother when I would get the same hungover crew member. Signed the contract in May 2021 for whole house gutter replacement and told job would be scheduled within 3 weeks. Mailed initial deposit in May 2021 NJ Gutter claims they never received it. No problem, it happens. Gave credit card over the phone in June 2021 for another initial deposit. Ok now all good schedule the job. Nothing! NJ Gutters is pushing the job week to week. Finally got on schedule for today 7/28/21 but company is a no show. Call the company and were told two men called out so job won't happen until another week or so or who knows when. Fed up and requested refund. The saga continues, let's see if we can get that back as quick as they took it. Will update. read more

I called to get an estimate for new gutters and gutter guards on the back of my house. Corey was 45 minutes late for our appointment. I received a call when he was 1/2 hour late telling me he was running late. He said he'd have my estimate later that day or Monday morning. Tuesday afternoon , still no estimate so I called, talked to Corey. He said I'd have the estimate by 5 pm that day(tuesday) as of today ( friday) still no estimate! I would never use this company. I asked this company to come out to our house to replace sections of our gutters. I had also asked other companies to do the same. This was the only one that returned calls promptly, showed up on time, and was honest enough to tell me that they could do minor repairs and save me the cost of replacing for a couple of years. The repairs worked just fine, and when I had a problem in another area, they also came out and repaired that quickly. If I could give them 0 stars, I would. Absolutely horrible customer service! I contacted this company to have them come out to clean the gutter on my house. I knew it was peak season and they'd be busy, so when I was told that they would get to me asap, I just said okay and waited to hear back from them to schedule the cleaning. Well, over 4 weeks passed and I hadn't heard a peep. When I called them to see what was going on, the girl admitted to me that I had been overlooked and they'd be out that Tuesday to service my gutters. Tuesday came and went, the crew never showed up. I called Tuesday and the secretary, Cory, was surprised they hadn't shown up, but assured me that on Thursday, they'd be there first thing in the morning. Thursday came and went, they never showed up again. Twice in one week? Seriously? Horrible employees as well as customer service. They finally showed up and cleaned the gutters, but failed to address another issue that I had mentioned on the phone to Cory that he told me would be dealt with as it was something small. I am still waiting for them to come and address the very small issue I am having with my gutters. Do yourself a favor and completely bypass this company and go to the next. Three times I have been told they would be at my house to clean my gutters (week of Nov 11th, then Nov 23rd and finally Nov 26th). Each time no one showed up and I got no follow up. Now it is supposed to snow tomorrow and my gutters still haven't been cleaned. If you don't want my business then just say so and I'll work with someone that does. Horrible experience. read more

I wouldn't give them a deposit unless they are ready to do the work, I scheduled with them and they were 3 weeks out, which was going to turn into 4 weeks. But they were quick to billed my credit card the same day I scheduled the work, I feel if you were 3 or 4 weeks out that they should of called or notified me. Now I scheduled someone else and they came the same week, now they are telling me that they order materials and my deposit was non refundable. Regardless of the response from the owner; which most of them attempt to justify the reason for the one star review. They make appointments and don't call, or show. Just be aware that if you need to depend on them, you may get screwed. Go with a larger more reputable company, and don't be surprised when it happens to you. read more

In 2005 New Jersey Gutters replaced my gutters and installed gutter caps. Prior to this installation I had to have my gutters cleaned 2 times a year. Now I only have NJ Gutters out every 5 years to check that all is OK. Never have had any problems. There technicians are courteous and professional.
