The whole process was great start to finish and the roof looks great! They had it done in 1 day. The whole crew was very professional and friendly and accommodating as I ran in and out of the house; they did a great job for clean-up and there were no surprise charges. In fact, after we paid and the transaction was done, they noticed a small item that was billed twice (about $50), called me, told me and said they were sending me a check. That kind of integrity is SO rare.

I remembered this company as it advertised in our local West Milford newspaper. I called him about 11 a.m., and he was there with 2 employees within an hour. Again, it was a Saturday in February! A 4' X 4' section of the roof was replaced within 2 hours. He gave me an estimate for the replacement of the entire roof and said it did not have to be done immediately - that was a relief, and his honesty struck me. The roof lasted another 5+ years and never leaked. When it was due to be replaced, I called back. As I live on a major road, his response was that he had been watching the roof for years and concurred it was time to replace it. I knew the previous estimate was obviously no longer valid as it was 5 years old. I requested a new estimate and was shocked to see that he didn't want to simply go over the roof with a new layer but recommended the removal of the old roof - at substantially more effort. I trusted this man so much that I never even sought another estimate. The job was performed by his employees - 3 men and a woman! The work and clean-up were meticulous. The roof is now 10+ years old and has never given me a problem. He promised an annual roof & gutter cleaning and said it would be unannounced. He would just show up and do it. I was shocked to say the least. True to his word, every year - and sometimes twice a year! - Rudy shows up and cleans my roof and gutters. He never charges, but I always tip his employee. It's money well spent. Two months ago, one of my two 37-year-old skylights began to leak - not at the roofline, but the seals on the skylight themselves where the glass meets the plastic/metal trim. I called Brodie and he advised I was fortunate as skylights generally last about 25 years and he recommends replacement then as preventative maintenance. I guess I was fortunate to have gotten 37 years, and the leak didn't cause any major damage. The sheetrock just had to be replaced. He replaced both skylights and, as with the roof, I've had no issues whatsoever. He even recommended another contractor to replace the interior trim which was done meticulously. I've recommended Brodie's Roofing to many friends, and they have all had similar experiences. I wouldn't use nor recommend anyone else!

I do not normally write reviews but this company was exceptional in all aspects…read more My neighbor was getting their roof replaced by Podocarpus LLC due to a leak. I watched as they tore off and replaced the entire roof in one day. They had about eight guys working on it which I thought was an impressive size crew. The contractor for the job noticed me outside and how I also had roof damage (missing shingles) he came over and introduced himself and gave me a free inspection on the spot. I knew if I did not replace my roof soon I would begin to have leaks as well. I was also nervous about the cost of the roof having to be replaced in full but the contractor worked with me and my insurance company and got the roof replaced for the cost of my deductible. They are very informative, Reliable and honest. They left my yard cleaner then it was when they got here and I could not have been more impressed with how quickly everything was completed. What put my mind at ease is that the shingles they use have a lifetime warranty and everything is written in a contract. I would highly suggest this company for quality of work and customer service. Thank you Podocarpus!

There is no pressure to replace or buy anything. John goes over all your options and explains everything in detail. He'll hand you a booklet with a wide array of colors and shingle types if you decide to replace your roof. He'll also show you the vent types they will install. The builder on Helms Mill Road cut a lot of corners, so we opted to replace. John was able to show us houses he did, so you can see the different shingle types and colors. The owners I checked all recommended Roff and were very happy with the work The Roff team showed up at 7:30 and went right to work. Each employee knows their responsibilities and gets to it. They are an efficient, professional and respectful team. They moved and covered the furniture on my deck, treating my property like it was their own. They tear the roof down to the plywood. Your roof is then sealed, wrapped and shingled. They upgraded the ugly white PVC and cheaper venting with higher end products that match the color of your shingles. The roof looks beautiful. They did a great job. They cleaned up everything. I saw them walking behind our vinyl fence to make sure there was no roof paper left behind on my neighbor's property. They make sure your property looks exactly like it did before they showed up. They did the entire job in a single day. They do more than just roofs. We're also using them for additional home improvement work. Again, John will show you a lot of impressive work they've done from decks to kitchens. It's a family run business that does not cut corners. I highly recommend them and am glad we used them

I called Roff to get them to come take a look and to hire to fix it. It took several calls, missed appts, and reschedules to get John to come to even take a look, he said he would return with some guys to work on it. Since then, I have been completely ghosted by them. I've called probably 5 times since over the span of a few weeks, complete silence. Beware. They'll put an expensive roof on your home and then not help you out when a problem arises.
