This is strictly based on a takeout order. We ordered chicken and waffles and a small side of tots online. It was kinda later in the morning so my daughter and I decided to share something. It came with a piece of breaded chicken, two smallish waffles and a hefty portion of scrambled eggs. There was syrup, some butter, and the description said it came with a side of chipotle aioli, but that was not in the bag. The chicken was super crispy and tasted as expected. The waffles were tasty but my daughter said they were crispier than she would prefer. The eggs were bland and boring and we didn't end up eating them. The tots, were the best thing we ate to be honest. They were crispy, and seasoned well with what tasted like a variety of spices. I wish now we had ordered totchos instead, maybe I would have been wowed like so many of these reviews. I was a little sticker shocked too. For the one meal, with the small side of tots was approximately $21. That is pretty hefty for a fast casual restaurant. I may give them another try but will not order the same thing.

I lovveee Morning Kick!! I always order the cowboy breakfast burrito, no cheese, and I am obsessed, especially paired with the salsa!! It is on the pricier side, almost $17 for a single burrito, but it is large and sometimes I save half for the next day or split it with my toddler so it's like I get two meals out of it. I have noticed recently that their burritos are filled with mostly eggs. They used to have an equal amount of bacon, tater tot, and eggs, but it seems like they've cut back on the bacon and tater tots which is kind of disappointing. Still super yummy though!! Highly recommend!

Return visit. The Decade bowl is just as delicious and delightful as the first and many times since. Instead of carry out we dined in today. It's a cute little spot with board games to play if interested. Service as always was super friendly...small town vibes. Love it! I'm so glad to have this gem around the corner from home.

8/1/26: pretty good food, though I was disappointed to see all the jalapeno, onions & peppers on the tots we ordered. Good thing my sister likes all that stuff; I had to dig around that stuff to eat any. :-) My English muffin sandwich was pretty normal tasting, nothing spectacular there, but the sauces they gave us helped. My sister's burrito was pretty large & she enjoyed it. Their drinks were a hefty size for sure & tasty, plus the staff was very outgoing & friendly. It's not an overly large place; maybe that's partly why they had a lot of to-go orders on their cart. I can't say we'd return, but only because we don't live in the area.

This was probably the best breakfast burrito I've had in a very, very long time! Came here on a Saturday morning around 8:30am and there was no line but a couple parties seated waiting for their orders. My boyfriend and I shared the Decade Breakfast Burrito which came with Bacon, Chorizo, and Sausage. Can I just highlight that the seasoned tater tots in the burrito WERE STILL SO CRISPY?!!?! I was so impressed with this burrito!!! I feel like the breakfast burritos I've had previously elsewhere are a bit liquidy inside so I've never had one with such crispy tater tots which makes SUCH A DIFFERENCE!!! I LOVE IT, it gave the burrito a nice mixture of textures. This savory burrito was packed with flavor and it was served with a house-made salsa that ended up being wayyy too spicy for my liking :') I ended up using ketchup/tapatio instead. Their food truck is another staple in my visits to the Gilbert farmers market. I always get the decade breakfast burrito because that thing is a monster. Sausage, bacon, chorizo, egg, cheese, and well seasoned tots. Everything I dream of in a breakfast burrito. Not to mention they have a solid salsa to go with it. This monster of a burrito is also somehow cooked the whole way through, cheese melted as well despite its size. The only downside is that it's so tasty that I can't stop myself from trying to eat the whole thing in one go, which means I get so full every time I eat it. My partner also enjoys their Arizona bowl.

I can't get enough of this place. AMAZING food and even more amazing people. The owners are so sweet and make you feel at home with their amazing food and sweet personalities. I've ordered a few things here but the ones that stand out to me the most is the Keto bowl and the breakfast totachos! Definitely a must to try one of those two. Also I recommend the Chipotle Aioli on anything you get here. It's fantastic!

This place is always amazing and the owners are very kind people. We go here pretty often and are never disappointed, their burritos are great, the Kevin bacon sandwich is my go-to, and my wife loves the tatchos. They also have energy drinks and coffee, definitely try them out.

I tortilla-y love Morning Kick! Morning Kick has the best breakfast burritos as well as the best staff. It's family-owned and -operated. They started out as a local food truck and eventually opened this fast-casual style brick and mortar. The space is cozy with ample seating indoor and out. You can still find the food truck at the Gilbert farmers market every Saturday. I've dined and ordered to-go many times from Morning Kick. I always get the same burrito, the green chili burrito, $11.35. It's one of their vegetarian burritos and comes with scrambled eggs, seasoned tots, house green chile sauce, with shredded cheese wrapped in a 14" local tortilla. This thing is packed full of ingredients and flavor. I usually eat half and save the other half for later. Their fresh house salsa compliments the burrito perfectly. They roast the tomatoes in house and only use fresh ingredients; no canned ingredients. Their burritos also pair well with a side of tots. Aside from their amazing burritos, Morning Kick is also known for their morning kicks -- coffee! In fact, they were on Yelp's Top Places to Drink in Phoenix in 2023. They offer brewed coffee, cold brew, espresso drinks, and Lotus energy drinks. I always get my usual, oat milk latte with honey and cinnamon, which they make really well. I will be back for my next fix!

The best breakfast burrito and biggest too! My favorite to get is the Arizona burrito with pico and avocado crema and my husband loves the Cowboy burrito. My whole family loves to eat here, we've even convinced all our neighbors and friends to go here and now it's a staple for all of us! Checked out the food trucks at the Gilbert Farmer's Market today. I got the Keto Bowl with Sausage and my friend got the Breakfast Bowl with Bacon. My breakfast was amazing! A good amount of eggs, green chiles and sausage. I could only eat half and will definitely get it again. Unfortunately my friend was not a fan of hers. The tots and bacon were both obviously over cooked. Hopefully that was a fluke, because mine was perfect. read more

Don't waste your time! Website is HORRIBLE, they are only doing online orders, can't get help with that! So you order online and they can't guarantee a time! It says after 10am. SO delicious! If you're looking for a breakfast spot- look no further! We had the Cowboy and Arizona burritos. We really could've split them because they're huge! Tried their cowboy and carne asada.... both were good, very good portion size for cost. Only recombination would be to use more carne asada in your burrito and maybe keep carne asada in larger portions. It was difficult to tell if I had a carne burrito vs a chorizo as the texture of the carne appeared more like chorizo even the color.... who knows maybe the gave me the wrong burrito. Was still good either way just expected carne to be more like steak than chorizo .... so for that I give it 4/5 stars. read more

It's not always good to keep a secret! I had new neighbors moving in nextdoor. It was a Saturday morning and already 112 degrees. I thought it would be a great gesture to bring them some food. I went across the street to Morning Kick. Shea helped me. I told her what I was doing and she recommended the Cowboy and the Arizona burrito bowls. I also got the Carne Asada for myself! I brought the food to them, introduced myself and said since they were new to AZ I wanted to share the best kept secret in Gilbert! A few days later there was a thank you card at my door thanking me for the best breakfast burrito they've had and said although the serving was huge, they managed to devour them. Fast forward a couple weeks and they told me they've been to Morning Kick 5 times and that they think the coffee is amazing too! Thanks Shea and Morning Kick! read more

Morning Kick is our favorite weekend breakfast restaurant. We went last Sunday and ordered the special which was a Jalapeno maple crispy chicken breakfast sandwich and also the Sausage breakfast tacos. The salsa, which I smother my tacos with is so good! BEST breakfast joint in all of Arizona!! I come here every week and have never ever been disappointed with their food, drinks, or service!! Vegan tots are a must try!! Their burritos are huge and so yummy!! There employees are just as good as their food!! Woody is always there to greet you with a smile on his face and is always silly and kind!! I was quite surprised at the portion sizes and the tastiness of this breakfast cafe. Not only were the portions large, at least for me they were, tasted great and came out hot. We sat outside and ate on an early Sunday morning. We love eating at small establishments and this definitely met our hunger needs and they had a nice variety of sandwiches read more

This is a great little place within walking distance from us. The staff is always friendly and the owner always remembers who you are. They only have a small menu but I personally enjoy that, I feel like the food is always better on a limited menu vs one that is pages long. They are also on the more expensive side for a burrito but they are huge and I usually share with my daughter or have leftovers, so I don't mind. The ingredients are fresh and the stuff the burrito full and ate never stingy. The only downside, I always have a craving on a day they are closed and have to wait. They are definitely a little gem in an area that needs good restaurants and gas none. read more

Burritos so good... it just might make you cry. I know I did. Surprisingly rich flavors combined with HUGE portion sizes = winning. The Cowboy is really good, like a farmhouse breakfast wrapped in a fresh, soft tortilla blanket of love. But if you want to feel the spirit, and taste a burrito of the gods, then get the Arizona. The flavor combo of the chorizo, eggs, tots, and tortilla takes your mouth to church and will have you singing hymns. read more

I requested soy for my latte instead of the regular cow's milk My latte though was not kind on my stomach (I'm lactose intolerant) Apparently they mixed up our orders and I had dairy milk in mine and not soy milk. My daughter received her macchiato with soy milk and not dairy. We discovered this after we returned home. Let's just say after that I was home bound after that due to cows milk keeping me hostage.

If you've been looking for a great taco spot, don't skip on Oscar's taco shop. Price (4/5): compared to surrounding taco shops and the portions, the price of the tacos are very competitive. Good Quality (4/5): We had the carne asada, shrimp, carnitas and ground beef tacos. They were excellent. They had the right level of seasonings and sauce that made every bite delectable. We also ordered the Bean and Cheese Burrito but would say it wasn't as special as the tacos. The rice is fluffy, well seasoned and tender. The standalone beans were a little greasy. Service (5/5): The service is great, no missing items which has occurred frequently at other establishments. They promptly answered the phone for our takeout order. Location (5/5): just a few minutes north of the 202, very easy to get in and out of.

It was refreshing to see signage that declared products that were GF. Protein smoothies, coffee drinks, salads, wraps, sandwiches, rice bowls, salads and cookies make up the menu. The staff was more than happy to answer questions regarding any menu items. No need to play "Guess Which Menu Item Won't Make Me Regret Lunch." I dined here twice in a week. My first visit I had a seasonal latte, my friend had one and a chocolate GF muffin top. All were very good! On my return visit I enjoyed the chicken salad sandwich with kale chips. I was thrilled that they could accommodate my request for no onion or garlic products and they offered gluten free bread. Toasted with paper thin green apple slices and plain mayo instead of their herbed mayo my $13.95 lunch was satisfying and tasty! My friend had the roasted chicken sandwich for $11.95 and only ate half because she was full on the meaty chicken breast within the slices of bread. We stayed a while and admired the cute decor which was supplied by the sister business, Olive Branch just two doors down. It was nice to enjoy a friend's company over a good lunch and not feel rushed. I'll be back.

I did a quick search on Yelp and realized I was less than a mile away from this cafe. The space has a cozy and welcoming feel. There's tons of seating. The staff greeted me as soon as I entered. The young woman behind the counter was very helpful. The menu offers sandwiches, shakes, pastries, and more. The tuna melt sounded great to me so I ordered that with gluten free bread as well as a GF pastry. I think it was a muffin top. Both items were delish! I devoured the tuna salad in the cafe before leaving and it helped me with my workout later that afternoon. The pastry was delightful as well. It was light and not too sweet. I came back a couple of weeks later and brought my husband who was looking for a healthy drink after we played golf. We both got shakes. My husband got the green goddess and I was looking for something refreshing so I got the Caribbean crush which has coconut milk, pineapple, vanilla protein, mango, strawberries, and OJ. Food is always DELICIOUS, but the hygiene of the staff and sanitary conditions within the restaurant are even more important.
