Great place with great food! We went for breakfast, pretty busy but seated immediately and had drinks on the table within minutes. Waitress was pleasant and knowledgeable. Menu is a bit contemporary making it a little challenging to understand initially. Don't assume the portions are small because the menu is! If you leave hungry it's your fault. We all ordered the Hook Line and Sinker (traditional meat/eggs/side/bread). We also added a pancake and a waffle to the table, a shareable dessert if you will. Eggs were cooked perfectly, as ordered. Meats- bacon and city ham, bacon was thick and cooked to the perfect 'crunch' without being burnt. Ham had the perfect sear with great flavor. We decided to try this spot during any birthday weekend visit to Carabelle. It was a Saturday late morning and we were able to walk right in and take a seat. I had the French toast it was very yummy. My husband got the breakfast burger which he devoured. I also had the mango pineapplemimosa and enjoyed it. It was a perfectly pleasant meal. Our server was kind. Seems like they have a full bar so if the opportunity presented itself I wouldn't mind trying it in the evening and seeing what that menu and vibe is like. read more

This was a great quick breakfast spot for me as I passed through Carrabelle in the early morning. My waitress was friendly and prompt, and the food came out in great timing. I'm temporarily staying in a small fishing village for work and found the most amazing restaurant. I felt welcome the minute I walked in the door, smiles, employees seemed pleased that I was there. I asked for food recommendations for dinner and was given a large range of favorites, but shrimp & grits topped the list. I've eaten this dish in several states, but NONE compare with Mornin' Bite - the absolute best I've eaten. Had a great conversation with the chef. I came back tonight, completely different crew on duty including the chef, same experience, warm welcome. Tried a pasta dish with fish and it was amazing!!! We started our morning with a 4-item 3-egg veggie omelette cooked perfectly, a side of sausage links, and a warm biscuit. After such a great start to our day, we decided to end it with an "Evenin' Bite". We ordered the Deep Fried Ravioli starter and the Sautéed vegetables side. Had high expectations given restaurant ambiance. Modern. Clean. Great ambiance. Really pleasantly surprised for this area. Menu selections were solid for dinner. Great bar selections. Service was really wonky. Wait to be seated but told to seat ourselves. Younger server must've been having a bad day. Almost scowling. Friendly to who she knew to be locals. Sadly, our server left after taking our order; she was cordial/warm. Not feeling well. Called in reinforcements. There were three servers on staff. Kitchen got the order right. Not once were we asked about our meal. My spouse's drink was refilled, but seriously no warmth from the wait staff other than the initial server who left early. Just grabbed the glass, refilled and dropped it back. When I asked for doggie bag to take the ribeye 'gristle' home for my dog, I was given one but no thought to the amount of gristle on my plate or the comment. Ribeye was 14oz and a very poor cut along with being 0.5" thick. Lots of gristle. Again, kitchen got the cook right. I had to use my napkin to remove two pieces of gristle from my mouth. Had to go to server station to get another one. Asked for ketchup. Almost empty. We had to milk it for both our orders of fries which were really prepared well. As a server, I would've noticed and provided my diners with a bottle which was more full. From my observation, the restaurant was possibly a quarter full with two takeouts while we were there about :45 mins. The house cab was very tasty for my palate- just the right amt. of body and a little dry. Liked it. Fried oysters were prepared well. We are solid 20%+ gratuity ppl, and it is the holiday season. I really had to come off the Scrooge vibe they created in my head. I'll give them a shot for breakfast but my spouse has no interest in returning. Perhaps they should stay at Breakfast and Brunch, because they sure as hell don't know how to do dinner. Last Friday stopped in for dinner and it was without the worst dinner experience I have ever experienced. Ordered the fried shrimp, it was tough as nails . Had to ask twice for some lemons and got bar slices, had to ask for cocktail sauce and got a dribble. The fries were good. Really enjoyed our food. My Cajun hubby rarely orders shrimp and grits (no one makes it like his GMA). Well to my surprise he ordered Shrimp and grits and loved them we will be back when we go on our little adventures! Had the pleasure of having several meals at the Mornin' Bite during a recent visit to Carabelle. The hostess greeted us and was very welcoming and seated us quickly. The menu had something for everyone and we all cleaned our plates. My husband ordered the Shrimp and grits, I had the Chicken Picata and our daughter had the Ribeye. The food here is quality and super delicious. The atmosphere is very friendly and not one of the staff walked past us without acknowledging us and asking if we needed anything.
