I had a wonderful first experience at this salon on 2/11/23. It was a busy Saturday and I waited about 20 minutes past my appointment time, but with it being Valentine's weekend I wasn't surprised. Annie was my nail tech. She was very sweet and lovely to talk to! She took special care to remove my previous acrylic set without damaging my natural nails. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she nailed it, literally! Although a bit pricey (as most nail salons these days) I think I'll come back for another visit since my first was a great experience. I'm hoping this can be my go-to place seeing as how it's so close to home! read more

Morii Nails Spa - Exactly what I wanted! Cute, short and simple. - Nail Salons Near Me - Aurora, Illinois

Can I give zero stars? So many bad reviews on this place. I wanted to like this place but the service and quality is very sub par. The pricing is the highest I've seen in the entire fox river surrounding towns. The price gouging for extras like shape, length, designs, type of polish etc changes from week to week. One week a design on a nail is $2 but a few weeks later for same design, it's $5. The female owner may need some charm classes because her table side manner leaves something to be desired. It's inadequate to say the least. Now, I'm sorry to report the products used are also not good. I had a nail pop off each of the 4 times I frequented this establishment. They tried to tell me to come in every two weeks for a fill or they wouldn't stand behind their product. Sorry, is this a tactic to get more sales? They can't be serious? When I came to get my nail fixed it was a different price two out of the four times as well. These shady sales tactics are big red flags for consumers. When I break down a review I like to talk about 3 main points when sales are involved: Customer Service, Value and Quality. Mori Nails has flopped on all 3. This place falls short on all categories of a good nail salon. The nail shop has a somewhat esthetically pleasing interior but this is what we call "lipstick on a pig". Everything else is an immediate, no. There are too many good salons around to spend your hard earned money here. I really wanted to like this place and gave it multiple chances to show me something good but they couldn't deliver. read more

first and last time here. I typically get my nails done with a friend but she was unavailable and I had a flight the next day. I made an appointment with Nancy for 6, and still had to wait 25 minutes before getting attended to. She then proceeds to do my nails extremely quick, in a rushing manner without asking me whether or not I like my shape or anything. I'm not the kind of person that has the courage to speak up in a salon, but once I got home I noticed that my acrylics were pointing straight up and within an hour my fingers were pounding with pain because the tips were pulling my natural nail upwards. I called the salon about an hour after I left to inform them that my nails had no c curve and hurt so bad, and he said that it was because my nails were too short and that the pain was normal for acrylics. However, after asking my typical nail tech, she said the work was unprofessional and the angle of the tips would cause them to break if I hit them on anything. The next day, I messaged this salon on Facebook with images of my nail and they said nothing was wrong and that they hope that I can find somewhere else to make me happy. Extremely rude. This place doesn't care about their clients, they just want to get people in and out. In fact, the tech (Nancy) only takes cash and this catastrophe of a set cost 55 dollars. I will attach pictures of the work they did, I hope you can judge whether or not there is something wrong better than the salon can! read more

Don't bother scheduling an appointment, you won't get what you ask for. I arrived on-time for my appointment and the person I requested had not arrived for work yet--15 to 20 minutes late. They put me with someone else who clearly had very lttle training and couldn't understand basic terms like hot/cold, cut, file, etc. The other tech finally showed up and there was a tip or full set client waiting for her. I found that...interesting. The service: pedi was ok at best. Water was cold, couldn't communicate with the person doing the service, the nail polish was crusty and then the top coat bottle broke she some random othet product. Manicure was horrible: my hands were so dry from being sprayed with water/nail polish combo, cuticlles were still flaky and I removed the polish as soon as I got home because it was not smooth. read more

Buyer beware. My daughters nail technician overcharged her for a simple acrylic mani to the tune of 100 dollars! They saw her as an easy target due to her age and the fact that she was visiting from out of town. Very disappointed. Very dishonest people. My family and I will never return. read more

Terrible. If I could give it -5 stars I would. Rude employees, facility is not clean, and didn't see anyone sanitize or wipe down the surfaces or work areas the entire time I was there. My nails turned out awful and the polish seemed diluted. Already chipped from 3 days ago! Would not go back even if offering free service. Too many of these places to waste time at a bad one read more

Mori nail spa is completely unorganized. overbooking appointments, leaving customers waiting for over an hour. the place feels dirty and unsanitary and workers are rude. I can't complain about my actual nails, as they were done fine. They need to learn the buisness part. read more

They didn't listen to what I wanted and my nails looked nothing like the picture. They nicked both me and my daughter's cuticles and we both ended up with infected hangnails. I had to go to another salon to pay and have one of my nails taken off just so my finger could heal read more

I asked for a full acrylic set. After not being satisfied with the nails because they look like cheap press ons I asked for them to be fixed. They told me it was to late because they were done and I should have said something before. So I guess I'm supposed to know that i have to tell the technician every five minutes I don't like them and instruct them on how to their job. The owner as rude begin to raise her voice and talked about me in her language. The set was 78 dollars I even gave a 10 dollar tip because unlike her I appreciate peoples time. I ended up leaving embarrassed from such an unprofessional and unfair way of being treated. For the record I never stated they look natural. I said they look flat like cheap press ons. Also, I'm case you were not aware that is what reviews are for. Since you are pretending to know what I do I have left two reviews including this one. And it was there same thing an owner with zero manners on knowing how to treat others. Both times in person and in the reviews you become defensive and attack your customers. I took the time to write this review because I did pay 88 dollars which included tip and even that you want to argue about instead of being thankful but if you are ok with making yourself look unprofessional and petty by all means. Unlike you I do not need to offend you or attack you in in English or my language read more

I went for mani and pedi with my 1 year old, and wanted her to experience a pedi. I was charged $25 just for my baby feet to be put into water, and they did file them a little. My daughter was to little to get the full experience not to mention her toe nails was never painted, but I was charged $25 for a 1 year old. Never again will patronize this business, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone that I know. read more

I needed to find a place to do my nails as my nail lady was out on emergency. I was leaving for vacation and had to have them done. So I looked on line and they were able to get me in. The price was a shocker $110.00 for nails and a basic pedicure. They were very flat with no definition and starting to lift with in a week. I got my toes done and the guy was so rough I told him twice hes hurting me. It took me a week to write the review but after thinking it over I wish I looked at the reviews because I would of stayed clear of that place. I apricate they were able to get me in thank you very much but you guys need to lower prices and also clean and be a bit more sanitized. There were clippings on the desk from the person from me. read more

First time going to this nail salon and last. I'm sure there are good nail techs there but not the male that did mine. I've been doing my nails for years and never looked as bad as today. I came from there not too long ago. You be the judge . The middle finger nail on my left hand side was not straight so I had him redo it and maybe that made him upset. I asked for cofin shape and this is what I got with super sharp edges. Never asked me to wash my hands after, hence why there is white dust everywhere. No cuticle oil used. He didn't really clear my cuticle either bit instead kept pushing it down hard with his finger. I'm not one to leave bad reciew or a difficult person but did want to share my experience so it doesn't happen to someone else. Wish I could add pictures. read more

Go see Janet at Morii. This salon is clean and beautiful and Janet just does a great job. I have tips on my natural nails and I get a gel fill with gel polish. Lasts me three weeks and Janet does an impressive job. My nails look very natural and she is very careful with my skin as I have sensitive cuticles. I have had other's here do a good job too and their pedicures are wonderful. Highly recommended. Fairly priced. My fills are typically $40 but they also will randomly do 10% off specials too. read more

Morii Nails Spa - Gel fill with bel, no chip polish DND - Nail Salons Near Me - Aurora, Illinois

I've been going to this place for a few months now. I always go to Janet for acrylics and nail design, she is super talented and also very sweet. But my experience hasn't always been good when someone else does my nails. I have noticed they do not wipe down stations between clients and that is a theme in their other reviews as well. I went to the salon recently and I had to ask my nail tech to please clean the table I was sitting at. This was because i was looking at someone else's nail clippings all over the station, instead he laid a towel over the clippings. This was unfortunately the last straw for me and the last time I will be going there. read more

I've had a great experience in the past. This past visit has been horrible!! I received a dip. The technician sanded the nails down so hard while removing the old polish it was painful. I asked several times to use a lighter hand...but to no avail. He then proceeded to shape my nails. The shape was crooked and not the shape I asked for. I asked him to please fix it. It only made it worse. He then again sanded the nails for the final step and took off the color, and filed the nails once again to a point when I already told him for rounded nails. The manager only at that point got involved who attempted to fix it the best it could with half my nails gone at this point. I was explaining what happened and the manager didn't look or acknowledge what I was saying. Upon check out I was charged the full visit. There was again no acknowledgement or apology for my experience. Manager just said go somewhere else If you want to. I truly hope this is read by someone from corporate. My biggest issue is the manager. He was completely dismissive. The technician perhaps needs to be trained. He was a very young man to be maybe 17. read more

I really wanted to like this place!!! However, my first time visiting this location was not a pleasant experience for the entire process, even though I waited over a year for them to open up!!! I was excited to try a new location so close to my home, I could walk there! However, the first impression was okay and nails were done great!!! But my pedicure was not, I had to correct the lady a few times and when I told the front desk about my toes they just shrugged it off. But i received a 10% off text to come back okay great I'll try them again. We shall see the next time around! Edited UPDATE: Next time around came!!! Got my nails and toes done beautiful experience all the way around! No complaints.... Until i left and days later my nail broke...no biggie but I don't break nails!! So I go back to fix my one nail and to do a polish change on my toes. I tell the person at the front I want regular polish on my toes. But when she goes to do them, I look up and she's putting the machine on my feet for no chip. I immediately tell her No, i asked for regular polish. She then states she will charge me to take it off and I got confused because of the language barrier because she literally painted one foot, which I thought was regular polish until she pulled out the machine! Nooooo, she explained that she wanted to charge me $20 to take off my no chip that was according to her on my toes. CORRECTION!!! I had regular polish on my toes which she took off with Acetone (which was very chipped up by the way) and then I explained their salon are the ones who previously did my toes so please pull up the receipt, how do you not know the difference between no chip and regular polish WTF!!! Moving on!!! Left salon pissed but charged correctly!!!! UPDATE: 3 days laterrrrrrrrrrr!!!!! The same damn nail breaks again while I am literally putting on lotion WTF!!!!!!! Im DONE!!! I don't even have the energy to go back!! Just screw it!!! read more

Definitely not going to be a repeat customer. Unsanitary- surfaces were not wiped down. I got a pedicure and a dip manicure. I still have calluses on both feet after the pedicure where as other places I've gone to have always managed to smooth it out. My dip manicure stared chipping after 4 days. Poor quality. read more

Just went in for a pedicure. I give them 2 stars because it's clean in there & the people were nice enough. My daughter's pedicure looks great. Mine literally looks like a child did it. Cat did my nails and they came out absolutely gorgeous! She is so nice and fun to talk to!!

i've honestly never written a review on any place, but under the circumstances i experienced here i felt i should. i've been coming here since they opened up in aurora and had a pretty consistent nail tech that i loved! i'm unsure if she still works here as i haven't been able to schedule another appointment or have seen her there the last several times i've gone in for an acrylic fill. i ended up getting my nails done by random nail techs instead of her, they did an okay job however every time i got my acrylics done, within less than two weeks at least one nail had broken. i've been getting acrylics for years and totally understand that they can break under many circumstances, however i've never had my nails break as often as these ones did. i never complained or said anything up until this most recent visit. i had my nails done on a sunday and by tuesday morning 4 of my nails were cracked and broken. i've never had one nail break within less than two days of getting them done much less 4. so i went in to have them fixed, when they were done fixing them you could still see where it had cracked through the clear polish but i just didn't care at that point and was glad they at least weren't broken anymore. they didn't apologize for how many had broken which i found a little upsetting but whatever. couple days later, one of the same nails that had been fixed was broken again. i called and spoke to the manager who just argued with me on the phone and didn't handle the situation with apologies or even feel bad that the quality of nails that are being done at this salon are poor. the day after this phone call i now have one acrylic completely broken off and a cracked one- which now makes 6 nails broken within one week. i don't have a job where i'm putting that much strain on my nails and have never experienced this issue elsewhere. i even explained when she told me to come back and have them fixed that i didn't want them fixed because they were simply going to break again and i live almost 40 minutes away and continue to bring my business, while she basically said it "wasn't her issue" that i live that far pretty much. my point was that i'm a loyal customer who travels pretty long to go there. anyways, extremely disappointed and the quality of this place is just a zero. read more
