We hired Morey painting to paint our entire home in Lincoln Park. Keith and his crew 'owned' our project from the beginning. He said he would do a great job and he did. His initial confidence gave me pause but the results speak for themselves. Thank you Morey Painting. read more

Keith and his team were able to squeeze in painting our 2 bdrm, 2ba rental unit in the South Loop this past week. The tenant left spilt drink stains on the walls and the repair job for where the tv was mounted was subpar. The unit used to be our home, the team did such a great job, I wanted to move back. They painted it back to brand new condition! read more

By referral, we hired Morey Painting initially to execute a full repaint in our condo. Their work was organized, thorough, complete, and professional. And we hired Keith Morey and his crew again two years later to paint our new home. Each project's design plan called for a medley of at least 5 complimenting colors with Mr. Morey's business production included as an integrated participant. His perceptive recommedations and practical communication turned out to be invaluable for the projects' overall successes. Hire these guys. read more

I have worked with Keith on a few painting projects around the house - Bedrooms with vaulted ceiling and exterior painting. They have been very responsive with quotes and scheduling. The work was completed in a very professional and timely manner. The final product looks great, especially the previously poor looking exterior spots. I would recommend them to others for their painting needs. read more

I have stopped using Morey Painting. Although they do a decent job with interior painting (putting pretty paint on brand new condo walls), I would NEVER recommend for them for any exterior work or any interior work in older homes with less than perfect walls.I often stare up at my patchy ceiling he was suppossed to have repaired and made perfect (as part of a $2200 paint job) after a radiator leak. Couldn`t handle that, I guess. He once used my step ladder (not sure why he did not have his own), broke it and would not replace it and said it was my fault! Also, It seems that any technical knowledge of materials has eluded Keith, the owner. He painted exterior soffet, eaves and fascia on my 2 apartment buidlings and the entire job peeled in a few months! I got heat from the village building inspectors. Keith never made any effort to make it right for his botched $2000 paint job. He is lucky to have not been sued. read more

Keith Morey of Morey Painting was recommended to me by a friend. He did such a great job on my apartment (quickly and for a very reasonable price) that I have found myself recommending him whenever I can. He even had his crew "clean up" the edges of the dining room walls my husband and I originally attempted to paint. This was really thoughtful, and certainly the savvy added touch that will keep me posting glowing recommendations about him. read more

I cannot say enough how happy I am with the work Keith Morey and his crew did on my new apartment, and how highly I recommend them. We purchased an apartment in pretty icky condition. The walls were painted awful, dark colors, and there were dents, marks, chips and everything all over the walls. I have painted my own walls before, but we had a feeling this was a job for a professional. Never again will I do a paint job myself after realizing there is Keith Morey. He turned the walls I described above into absolutely stunning, perfectly painted walls. For a very fair price he did the following: -consulted us on color choices (and provided very valuable insight on which colors looked best in which kinds of rooms) - took care of all materials and everything - was completely done with the entire apartment, top to bottom, in under a week!! He was courteous, punctual, a perfectionist. He was easy to communicate with, as well, which is a big plus over other contractors we've worked with. By far, he's been the most pleasant to work with. If you're looking for a painter, don't hesitate to hire Morey- you won't regret it! read more

I found Morey Painting through a DADO coupon and was so thrilled with them! Keith got back to me promptly to schedule the consultation and had great advice on choices of colors. He and his assistant finished the job extremely quickly and it looks beautiful. Also, the price was great. I would use them again if I decide to paint another room in my house. read more

They did a decent job painting my home. The interior decor was accepted, but there were few hassles with the painters. Overall they do a good job, but not as flexible in communication. read more

We used Keith to paint our condo we purchased. We didn't have a lot of time to move out of our old place and into our new one, but Keith worked with us and our schedule to make it happen. He and his staff were extremely professional, on time, courteous, and did an AMAZING job. I highly recommend him to anyone who might be looking for a painter. read more

We hired Morey painting based on a recommendation from our Realtor, he gave us a good quote, was very knowledgeable and helpful in assisting us with color choices. He was also able to meet our short timeframe - we wanted everything painted before we moved in. We had two bedrooms and the living room/kitchen/hallway painted. Keith and his team were able to accomodate our timeframe and were extremely clean. His company did such a nice job that our association wants to use him to re-paint all of the common areas and hallways in the building in the next month. read more

We found Keith through our real estate agent. We initially hired them to paint our kitchen and living room, however when he arrived we decided we wanted two hallways painted as well. This was not a problem and he proceeded accordingly. Keith and his team were professional, friendly and helpful from the very start. We have very tall ceilings and they did a great job with everything in our place! They worked extremely hard and finished the job on time. They also helped us install a ceiling fan and light fixtures, everything turned out beautifully. Thanks Keith! read more

I first used Keith to paint my condo 12 years ago...and now again for the same place. He's provides a quality paint job at a reasonable price. He finished the job on time. And he uses Benjamin Moore paints. I definitely recommend him for your painting needs. I've referred him to a couple folks and they've been happy as well. read more

Top notch work! I use Keith for my rental units and he gets them done in the short windows between tenant moves.

We couldn't be happier with Keith and his team! Morey Painting came by recommendation from a good friend of ours. We recently closed on a new condo and it was in some serious need of new paint before we moved in. Keith was able to get into our space quickly and did a fantastic job. He was very communicative, gave great advice (did we need to paint the ceilings? no!), and was priced very competitively. The end result was absolutely flawless - it totally changed the look and feel of our space. I will absolutely use Keith again, and recommend him and his team 100%! read more

Keith and his team do a top notch job, are great to work with, and have as fair of pricing as you're going to find without all the nickel and diming. These guys talk through what you want to make sure the job gets done exactly the way you want it. The crew is extremely hard working and take pride in their work with high attention to detail. I've used this team multiple times over the past few years, most recently on my new townhome where they not only painted a number of rooms, but also sanded and painted doors, cabinets, and railings. I couldn't be happier with the transformation and outcome. Keith and his guys do it right from all aspects. I strongly recommend Morey Painting! read more

*Someone 'flagged' this review, thus sending it the oblivion known as 'filtered' ratings (I never knew there was such a thing). I truly resent the fact that my review was exiled to a place where few people will see it (and it was done within days of my having posted it). The explanation as to why reviews are filtered doesn't make much sense to me (unless they clearly appear to be 'fake' - which certainly doesn;t apply to me). The primary reason seems to be that I haven't written enough reviews. Isn't the first review how you get started? Anyway, here it is again (and if Yelp continues to allow this kind of 'selective editing' of legitimate reviews, I will stop using this site). The rave reviews surprise me - because this was NOT our experience with Morey Painting. Keith Morey came out to give us an estimate - and while he's a likable enough guy, he (and his staff) didn't deliver the quality results he promised. Despite the fact that he assured us he would be doing much of the job himself, he came and went throughout the process, and was actually absent much of the time. Our estimate was supposed to include prepping walls before painting, but it was immediately evident this wasn't being done. When we brought this to Keith's attention, he informed us that proper sanding, filling in little holes, etc. would cost us a lot more than the amount he had quoted. Now... I think we had made it abundantly clear during his initial (pre-estimate) walk-through that we wanted the bumps and holes addressed before painting, so this was the first red flag that popped up that we may have made a mistake hiring Keith and co. Then came the issues of the doors. We reasonably assumed that when we're paying to have a door painted, that means the entire door, not just one side. Even the narrow strip where the lock is located was not included. I noticed that this was a complaint cited on Yelp with other reviewed painters, so maybe this is the new 'standard.' I think it's slimy and cheap. If it's requires so much more time and effort to paint the whole door, these folks should either charge more and do the entire job or at the very least, make it clear that their quote means you'll end up with a half-painted door. Finally, once the job was (supposedly) done and the painters had packed up and left, we discovered that they had failed to paint around all corners of walls that border our many windows. We're talking about a strip from floor to ceiling, and less than a foot wide. How much effort would it have taken to paint this and actually do the job right? We didn't want to deal with them, so we had someone else finish the job. Bottom line: Keith was more hype than substance. If you're looking for a painter who will deliver good results..... keep looking. read more

Keith and his team are professional, punctual, and most important trustworthy. The prices are competitive and I would refer him to everyone. His work is beautiful! He even gratiously came by one day because I didn't know who else to call to change a lightbulb in our 24 foot ceiling! He didn't even charge us. Keith is good people and the review by Ann K sounds out of character for him. read more

I have used Morey Painting twice now and they have been nothing but professional, friendly and easy to work with. Keith, the owner, is very easy to talk to and will give you a very fair and honest assessment of what needs to be done. I met him to talk through what we needed painted, he gave a prompt quote and then that was all I had to do. He handled the rest and the first job came out so well that I used him again for a rental unit I own. His prices are very fair, even for work that is NOT easy -- an example of this is they had to scrape paint off of my incredibly old ceilings, put on multiple coats of putty to patch the rough spots, and then prep it all for the painting. I met Keith when he did a job in the unit below my condo and they had nothing but great things to say. I would highly recommend him and will absolutely use him for any and all painting I ever need. read more

I have used Keith twice. Both times have been perfect and efficient. He will be doing my next paint job this spring without question. I used someone else this past year to painrt my home, what a mistake (See my review of Decor by Paul). read more

I am a residential broker in Chicago and refer Keith Morty and his team to EVERYONE I know. I trust Morey painting. They are professional, quick, reasonable and most of all fun! ALL of my clients have called me immediately after Keith and his team leave thanking me profusely. I only recommend Morey Painting!! They truly are the BEST! read more

We hired Keith Morey for an interior paint job of our single family home (walls and ceilings) in Logan Square. We chose him after getting quotes from numerous other painters in Chicago. He offered a very reasonable price/rate and was so easy to work with. His team came on time and did an amazing job quickly. The paint looks so great! We had chosen an original color that didn't turn out the way we hoped and Keith was so kind to help recommend a new one. He solved the problem quickly and easily. This is a very quality painting company that offers the best pricing on top of amazing customer service. We would definitely refer Keith and use him again in the future. read more

Keith and his wonderful asst Benjamin painted a bedroom for me last week and I was very pleased with their work. Keith was punctual, funny, friendly and moreover very professional. I will definitely refer him to any of my friends and neighbors. Just as a side note~ I purchased Green Planet paint from a environmentally friendly store in Chicago for Keith to use; and still a week later I am fainting from the smell. I can't even sleep in my bedroom and I have had the windows cracked all week (b/c it's 30 degrees). I spent $50 a can just to avoid any toxins and that new paint smell. I guess going green isn't all it's cracked up to be b/c the smell is worse than any room I have had painted in the past considering it has been 7 days; not to mention it took 3 coats to cover a light beige wall~ something my painter Keith said should have been covered in 2 coats with a low VOC paint from Benjamin Moore. Of course this is just my experience with the paint I purchased. Happy Painting! read more
