I give it zero stars but Unfortunately there's no option. We came in with a big group 20 people for my birthday. We sat in the patio which was nice. Our server came and she took our drink and appetizer order. It's been 25 mins and still our drinks weren't out. Our appetizer came and still no drinks. We ask her where our drinks were and she said it was on it's ways. Finally our food came my father in law orders a cheese burger and it came plain we never said plain cheese burger she said that's how we served our burgers but it clearly said On the menu that it came with lettuce and tomato. My friends ordered deep dish pizza and it came thin crust. Ordered diovolo pasta It hardly had any pasta more tomatoes. We ask her for a cup of ice, ketchup, grated cheese, and lemon it took 20 mins to come out by the time it came our food was already cold. My brother in law came late she didn't even asked if he wanted to order something. We told her our food was wrong and she said sorry will take it off the bill. Which was nice. But what made more upset is that's my husband got me cake he told the hostess if they can put it in the fridge. When the brought it out to sing happy birthday they lit the candle very far away from the table and the candle all melted on my cake. I was sooo angry that I asked to speak to the manager they sent me a guy who was waitering another table. I asked if he was the manager or a waiter and he told me he was the manager FYI managers don't dress like waiters. But it was kind of fishy he really didn't do anything that the waitress didn't tell us already. It was really a bad experience we've been there before with a big party and never had a problem til now. They should of given us 2 waiters. That's what other restaurant do when it comes to a bigger party. I don't think will be celebrating anymore birthdays there again. read more

Horrible horrible service. Nobody acknowledges you when you walk in. Waited by hostess station for 8 min. I had someone waiting behind me who was extremely irritated by the lack of customer service. Bartender was behind the bar. Clearly saw me and said nothing . this place sucks read more

Don't waste your time with this place. Not only will they waste your time, they will waste a delivery driver's time and you might get your food. We placed an order at 3:45 for 5:30 delivery. We got a message from Grubhub that the driver picked the food up at 5:06. It is 8 minutes from our house. 10 minutes pass, 20, 30, 40, nothing. I attempt to call the place. Nobody answers the phone. I call the driver, nothing. Finally at 5:50 I hear from the driver who tells us the restaraunt is telling them our food will be ready in about an hour. So basically we are talking it will have taken them almost 3 hours to prepare our order. In the interim, the driver is stuck sitting there wasting over an hour of his time to get no money because we cancelled our order. I appreciate places staying open but you have to at least try. Lastly if for whatever reason you want to order be careful. It defaulted to a 25% tip to the driver. I guess if they are going to waste 2 hours of the driver's time a 25% time would adequately compensate them. I understand times are tough but this is crazy read more

I don't know how this bar is still able to operate under covid but our experience was fucking horrible. Don't go there.

Delivery is fast. Too fast. See photo of half pizza thrown over the side. They can take a couple extra minutes to slow down into turns. I wouldn't mind. read more

Moretti's Ristorante and Pizzeria - On a positive note, the delivery was quick. However, I don't mind if the driver took a couple extra minutes to tap the brakes before turns. - Italian Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

So yeah, Moretti's was definitely ok. We were there with a group and we had no complaints whatsoever. Service was good, the food was good, cute little neighborhood. I would definitely go back if ever in the area. We have friends who live close by and they visit often. They usually have a decent experience, so nothing to complain about. read more

The atmosphere on the patio is great for Sunday fundays. Drinks are amaze balls, food is fab, but the servers are horrendously slow. I have to order a pitcher of sangria to ensure I wasn't left high and dry. Like I'm not sure if y'all want a tip or you guys or just short staffed but get it together. read more

Awful just awful.. we were at the snuggery and had a party of 12.. over 300 dollar tab and we were told to close it at 11:30 on a Friday night cause the server was going home! No other server just told to go to the bar.. ok fine.. but then there's only two very slow bartenders that were just horrible and mean.. never saw a manager there to help out one bit! Never ever will I spend a another dollar in a ala cart establishment! read more

This is a consistent place. Great food, good drinks. Moretti's is a fun place for game night or in the summer to hang out in their patio. The service is great. The wait staff is wonderful with a wonderful skill set that caters to adults and children. I was there the other day with my nephew and they were magical with him. The salads are wonderful and the pizzas are good. read more

Have been sitting here waiting for a beer at the bar for a half and hour and it's not even busy right now. I was hoping to order food, but I was planning for dinner tonight and not ordering for tomorrow. Yesterday I picked up a to go order and had to wait about a half hour as well. They keep apologizing, but I just want a beer! The food is okay, nothing special, and the service is atrocious. read more

Dinner was disappointing to say the least. My boyfriend and I came here last night for a celebration and will not come back. We had fried calamari which was pretty good... Then we ordered entrees $16 each (chicken marsala&chicken limone). The appearance, quality and overall lack of seasoning and flavor was beyond disappointing. I didnt eat my entree, the waiter did not seem to care as he was new and overwhelmed with his party table. Anyway, im sure this place is great for pizza, beers, and appetizers but for the price of the entrees we make better food at home! read more

9/29/2018...Birthday celebration gone bad! We started with drinks and apps. We were seated in the bar area. Reservations were made and we couldn't even get a table. Some guy passed by with golf clubs and ran into our table. Drinks spilled everywhere. One in our group got wine spilled on his shirt and pants. The manager tonight named Billy, initially stated that we were getting round of drinks on the house. Then come to find out the waitress said that only the 3 spilled drinks were free. The guy the ran into our table gave us some cash and the manager said that we should use that towards our free drinks($20...which is none of the manager's business). The manager was rude, ignorant, and very inconsiderate. We ended up just leaving and not eating or paying for our entrées. The manager got very defensive with us and said that "he was going to watch out for us." We will never come to this location again! The audience for this restaurant is a younger crowd. There was no respect for friends who wanted to have a nice dinner. read more

First the goats cheese was really good. The pizza was only ok but expensive drinks were ok. The service was horrible first I asked for more bread so our waitress said she had to charge me more. So I asked the bus boy for it and there was no problem. Finally we received the check the prices were different then the menu our waitress said they have the right to change prices. So we called for the manager she changed the prices and said we had old menus. Funny thing was all the menus are old then because I looked when we left and they are all the same. It was such a bait and switch read more

This place never ceases to amaze me! Their kitchen staff have a mind of their own and put menu items together whimsically without ever actually paying attention to what the menu description is. I typically order one of their entrée salads. In the many dozens of times that I've been here, they have yet to ever actually get the salad right. Tonight did not disappoint. I asked for the Italian Cobb salad with grilled shrimp. Salad arrives... um... no shrimp. It's also supposed to have avocado on it - I guess they just didn't feel like putting it on there. Two of my friends ordered the Crispy Chicken Romano, described as "Golden crispy Parmesan breaded chicken medallions, asparagus and bruschetta tomatoes in a lemon parmesan butter sauce served with garlic mashed potatoes." This wasn't a special - this is a regular menu item!! How can you let it leave the kitchen without the asparagus?!?! On both of them!!! What was refreshing tonight is that our server was very attentive and subsequently quite apologetic for the kitchen errors. We've been here in the past when the service was horrible. They do a tremendous business so I think they are just apathetic to doing things right. read more

I really like Moretti's in general but this one is one of my favorites! The food is always so good and fresh! The inside is decked out in cute little Christmas decorations too! We had Sandy as a server and she was really great! Also, they had street parking which wasn't that bad you just need to keep an eye out to find a spot. I would definitely check this one out! read more

I've honestly never been treated like such crap at a place. I came here after a very long day at work just to be told that I could only eat at the bars. Which one, the one with blasting music or the one with the obnoxious douche bags. I picked the latter. It took the bar tender 5 minutes to notice I was there, even though I was the only person sitting in that side and I yelled for her more than 5 times. She was very rude, I asked for pizza and she's asks, what kind, no menus provided mind you, so how the hell am I supposed to know? She than asks if I want a drink only to practically throw my beer at me. The worst is, she tells me the bar is closing. So you want me to carry my pizza to another part of the building, is that it. She then said, I can sit at that bar and eat my Pizza, as if she was doing me a favor. The worst is the woman next me ordered a 20 oz beer, that was never offered to me. I still can't figure out how a small pizza and a beer cost $24, surely there was a pizza that had toppings on it that wouldn't cost that much. Oh that's right, I had no menu to compare prices The worst was there was no condiments for my pizza, so you just expect me to eat this dry? The slices were not even cut right. I used to love this place back in the day. Skip it now. read more

I have Celiac disease and Moretti's was my favorite go to when I visited friends in the neighborhood. A bunch of us would go there because it's one of the only places nearby that had been safe for me. We ordered dinner on Sunday, and I got the gluten free Tuscan Beef Tenderloin. We stressed the importance of it being gluten free that I have Celiac disease etc. Well now I've been sick for three days straight, and it'll be another month until I'm fully recovered. Seriously, wtf! Don't advertise that you have gluten free dishes over seen by a doctor (it says so on the menu) if you can't keep a basic meal safe from cross contamination. It's time to retrain your staff or take the gluten free items off your menu. Great job losing 4 very regular customers. read more

Called to see if there was open tables this evening was told at 515pm no problem many available. Arrive at 525pm. Hostess told us at least 45min wait. On top of that she was very rude. This place isn't close by any means. But is does have one of the best outdoor patios that I know of that is mostly covered by trees. The menu has something for everyone and I try something new every time. Today it was the tenderloin sandwiches. Cooked the way I asked they were tender and juicy. It came with homemade horseradish sauce that was extremely mild. I was expecting a Mustang and got a Pinto. The buns were a bit doughy and added nothing to the texture. They could have used some grill time. I asked for the chips that are made in house. Thick, crunchy and lightly salted. Great atmosphere and excellent service. read more

Two stars for their great outdoor patio, minus ten stars for their service. We used to be regulars, but no more. Food other than pizza really isn't very good, and you'll be lucky to get it cooked correctly. A long serial string of disappointing and maddening dining experiences. read more

UPDATE: I had to lower to two stars due to the fact the food seems to be going downhill. The chicken strips my wife ordered looked like they were picked up off the kitchen floor, and the last pizza we ordered had that dry, pre-fab-frozen- crust-cardboard-you-can-keep-it taste. Portions are getting teeny tiny, and , again, the food is going downhill. Ill stick with the beer as they dont make that (thank goodness). I know they wil pick it up and correct but until then I'll go elsewhere. read more

Really unimpressed with the service here. Walked in with a birthday party with 37 people at about 5 pm. The place was nearly empty, and instead of accommodating us, the older, blond woman working the bar (with 2-3 other bartenders/support staff- by no means was she overwhelmed) shot nasty looks at and made negative comments to other staff about the group. She went out of her way to make people feel uncomfortable, despite the fact that we spent a lot of money and were not disruptive. The food was good, and the drinks were fine, but will not be coming back. read more

The bouncers who work there need to get a life and perhaps a real day job as well. I had a party of about 30 people inside and went out to smoke and was told I could not come back in. My tab was open, my people were inside. Mind u this is after the doormen were flirting with us and grinding with us on the dance floor. Maybe, he was mad he didn't get farther than that? Not sure...Frank? Also, they allow their underaged friends in there as well, I watched them not even card them and these kids literally had to be like 17. But that's okay though. Our server was underaged as well, and didn't even know what a Vegas bomb was. The costume contest was so clearly rigged it was pathetic. My friend even overheard the DJ's talking about it outside. This place is a joke. They think they're some club that's downtown on Ontario when in reality, this staff wouldn't even be considered to work a club downtown. I hope that their egos got fed and their power trips were long because that's probably about as far as any of them will ever go in life. Get real jobs guys! Or I should say stay in school cuz you're like 20 and definitely really need to be in school and not be the Moretti's patrol read more

I really wish I could've given Moretti's 5 stars after how amazing the food was. Great pizza, ribs, and grilled calamari! However the service might have been the worst service I've witnessed in my entire life. The waitress we had did not seem to care at all. She didn't bother to ask about refills on drinks and coffee or check in at all. She left us hanging the entire meal. Even after we were finished we had to ask for the check and used dinnerware that should've clearly been taken away in the long period (~15-20 mins) after we finished simply sat on the table while we finished coffee and drinks we had to ask to order. To top it off at the end it took another 15 minutes to get a carry out box for the few slices of pizza we had left. After no one came after 10 minutes of requesting a take out box I had to stand up and ask the waitress for a box. She still did not bring us the box after another 5 minutes of waiting and my pregnant wife wound up going to grab one herself when the waitress finally came out with the box. This is a lunchtime nightmare that is hard to believe. I'll give two stars because the food is that good. Next time I'll order carry out. read more

I have not once in the last 5 years received a delivery that was what I ordered? Is it that hard to take an order over the phone? We ask for extra Au Jus for our beef sandwiches and never get it... In last 5 years we have yet to get one with our delivery. Tonight.... there is nothing better than cold rubbery chicken tenders.. YUM! Cold rubbery fries with chewy beef sandwiches. We ordered One beef with cheese no peppers the other beef no cheese sweet peppers... we received 2 cheesey beefs no peppers and of course NO EXTRA AU JUS! We have dined in a few times and food was good! However, ordering over the phone is like throwing darts at their menu?? You never know what you will get until it arrives. Never again Moretti's. This is the second time this has happened at this restaurant and trust me it will never happen happen. I went to Morettis last night with a couple friends. We had called ahead to see if there were any specials for the night and the girl who answered said yes they had $9.00 off pizza with one ingredient. We were debating on having either pizza or burgers and/or going to go to places out in Des Plaines/Glenview but since it sounded like such a good deal we changed our plans and went there first. We like to check out different restaurants and see what their food is like. When we got there the waitress said she had no idea about any specials. She got the manager who then said well they have that special but only for carry out. She asked how many pizzas we planned to order and I said probably two. We were planning on leaving so she said I can take the money off for you. So we stayed and ordered a couple pizzas and coconut onion rings. The first pizza (pepperoni) was really greasy. I was disgusting so I ordered a Italian beef one next. It was ok but while we were waiting the manager walked by and said she comped the onion rings. Which I thought was nice of her on top of the pizza discount. When the bill came the waitress dropped it on the table and left. When we finally got her to come by she asked if the bill was ok and I said no the manger hadn't discounted the pizza. She explained again that that was between me and the manager. (I got the impression that this is a more than occassional occurence at Moretti's. I have worked in the restaurant/bar industry for years and this establishment is more interested in saving a few bucks instead of honoring their words.) The waitress said that that was the best that her manager was willing to do. I asked if there was a manager higher up in the restaurant and she gave me this other guy. I explained what happened and he said he would go back and see what he could do. He comes back and says "I'll tell you what I am going to do, I will meet you in the middle and split the difference." What a putz!! He was so smug and arrogant. Just his attitude. It was like I was asking him to take money out of his own pocket. He also made sure that he uncomped the onion rings. Whatever. I was polite and walked out after paying the bill and leaving a good tip. Well guess what I am not going to do with MORETTI"s in Edison Park. Give them a third chance. (as for the first occurrence: They used to have half price pizza on Monday. I went there one time and the waitress told me about it. When the bill came back it was full price, I asked and the manager said they stopped the promotion the last month) BTW Each time they blamed the mishaps on the "new" staff. It's not about the money but the principle. He never even asked what we thought about their pizza. I will never go to this Moretti's ever again. There is so many other good Italian restaurants and pizza in the area. DON'T WASTE your time here dealing with these guys. I have been to other Moretti's over the years in Fox Lake, Barlett, and Schaumburg and they are fine but the one is Edison Park is not. read more

Great neighborhood hangout that has been one of the anchors of the Edison Park district for years. Having a lot of friends from high school that were from the area, we used to come here a lot, though it's been a few years. I took the girlfriend on Friday night and the food was even better than I remember! We took advantage of the weather and sat outside. Free Tip from your Uncle Patrick: if you're looking for a quiet dinner, don't be afraid to ask to be moved to another table- lots of people come here to hang out and drink, so choose your table accordingly. The pizza's a reliable option and put the place on the map. I highly recommend the Chicken Parm sandwich. On this visit, we had the Chicken Saltimbocca and the Rustic Bow Tie Pasta. Both were tip top! Service was fairly slow; it probably had to do with the fact that they haven't hired many extra servers to cover the outside area just yet. I take this into account, but when it started to drizzle lightly while I was waiting for the check (she said she'd be right back with it), our server was making several trips inside carrying things like the take home boxes. I'm sure she was told to help carry stuff in, but it would have been nice if we could have taken care of the check so we could get out of the rain. Not the end of the world though- this is still a top notch spot, perfect for a nightcap after seeing a flick at the Pickwick! read more
