Was in the area and wanted to snag some carryout to take home for my husband and I and after a search on Yelp found this spot! It was a GREAT call. I ended up going with two of the chicken parm sandwiches, an order of the baked ziti, a tiramisu cup, and zeppole. Everything was delicious and the portions are very generous. The sandwiches alone have two fried chicken cutlets on them so half of one is more than enough for a full meal, meaning I've got dinner for tomorrow, too! The ziti was also a nice portion and I love their marinara. I was too stuffed to eat the zeppole while they were still warm but they're still excellent later, even when they're cold. I think they use ricotta in them which keeps them soft and pillowy (also another generous portion). It's carryout/delivery only, FYI. Ordering online was a snap as they have their own platform and it took about 15-20 minutes. Ran in and out and it was easy peasy and delicious. read more

I was enticed by the concept behind Morelia's, and it did not disappoint. Not only is the food high-quality, it's fairly priced, as well. Since fried chicken is Morelia's specialty, I ordered three dishes featuring it: the Caesar salad, the chicken parm "sangwich," and the Italian fried chicken combo. The Caesar salad offered a generous amount of chicken, which was fried to perfection. The chicken parm sub was a beast of a sandwich. It had just the right amount of sauce, and the parsley tied all the flavors together. My favorite part of the meal was the Italian fried chicken combo. I chose piccata as my sauce and baked ziti as my side. The piccata had a distinctive lemon flavor, and the capers were a nice touch. As for the ziti, the cheese on top was delicious, and the pork-based sauce hit both sweet and savory notes. For dessert, zeppoles are currently the only option, but they're a great one. These had a noticeable hint of ricotta in them. Since my first visit, I've thought about going back to Morelia's multiple times. Fantastic addition to the casual lunch scene in the area! A friend and I split the MIFC and Chicken Parm sandwiches, and I really enjoyed both but slightly liked the MIFC better. Wow! Hit this spot twice in a week. First I got a sandwich and second the meal! Parking is interesting since no designated lot and Woodward is on a parking diet. And this is mostly a grab and go spot. They do have limited seating and you can stay if you want. Had the meal with piccata sauce and it was delish! OMG, DELISH!!! Finally made it in before they sold out for the day, which they do every day. Pro tip: order before 5:30 Tuesday-Friday; and before 4:00 on Saturday. Delicious fried chicken dinner includes a generous portion of chicken cutlets with an array of sauces + 2 sides. Im a transplant from the East Coast so finding some genuinely good Italian at a good price is hard to come by but Morelia's man.. it's going to be a regular staple for me now. I haven't been reminded of my nans cooking in a long time but truly almost brought tears to my eyes for how much like home this meal tastes like. My partner got the MIFC sandwich and he absolutely loved it. We sat in silence and ate. Absolutely no commentary needed, just savoring the moment. The portions are HUGE! We went for lunch here and just finished my leftovers for dinner as i write this. Could easily share one meal between two people but these are seconds that hit just as good as when it was served fresh! We placed an online order and it was ready for us as we walked in! We were greeted by the kindest hunk who was so sweet and had a gorgeous beard, my boyfriend and i walked out and both gushed about the friendly giant at the counter overall i would give this place a 20/10 if i could. I ordered the Bowl (I LOVE polenta) and the fried zucchini bites. Both were very good. I got the food carryout, so unfortunately the zucchini bites were a bit on the soggy side. If I had thought of it, I would have thrown them in the air fryer and crisped them back up. They were cooked through and the batter was tasty. The sauce and meat on the polenta was great! Very much enjoyed the flavors. Deducted one star because the guy at the counter was downright surly. He did everything right, but he seemed to have a scowl on his face while I waited and he pulled the order together. I did note when I was there they have tables. I am not sure if they have table service, but the food would be even better sitting down, food straight from the kitchen, on regular plates. It also would avoid the breading getting soggy on the zucchini. The ambiance felt industrial, with a number of people cooking in the kitchen and no real atmosphere. What can I say about Morelli's Fried Chicken? The chicken is pounded thin and cooked to absolute perfection -- crispy, juicy, and full of flavor. The Parmesan chicken sandwich was awesome -- the sauce, the bread, everything was just right. I ordered the MIFC sandwich, which was ready in a blistering fast 10 minutes. $15 sounds like a lot for a chicken sandwich, but this could easily feed too hungry people. The chicken was crunchy and tender inside, and the only thing I missed was the Calabrian ranch, which I didn't really taste. I needed a quick fix of some authentic Italian, and they hit the mark. The marinara was perfectly balanced, with garlic and what seemed like San marzano tomatoes. This family owned place was not only charming but VERY good. Designed in "Nona's living room" style with personal photos and art this place is adorable. Now the food blew us away. We got the MIFC sandwich that had Italian fried chicken (essentially a nice and crispy cutlet), pancetta, dressed arugula, melty provolone, and homemade spicy ranch - which was to DIE for! We also got "The Bowl" which had creamy polenta, broccolini, and an incredible ragu. Well, by the time I made this review we had already devoured our sandwiches, so unfortunately I don't have pictures because they were so delicious we couldn't wait. My husband and I tried this place for the first time and let's just say we'll be back. We are the chicken Parmesan and chicken bacon ranch sandwiches. They were both insanely delicious but the chicken bacon ranch ultimately took our top vote. They are huge sandwiches- if you're super hungry you can devour one on your own or share with someone else if you're not as hungry. The sandwiches are served on a lightly toasted baguette. The chicken cutlets are perfectly crispy in every bite. The chicken bacon ranch sandwich, called the MIFC, comes with thick cut bacon, arugula, the crispy chicken, cheese and a delicious ranch sauce. The chicken parm comes with the chicken cutlet, cheese and a yummy sauce. I highly recommend ordering yourself a sandwich or two. We'll be back to try more of their menu! read more
