On Monday September 25, 2025 my husband and I were attempting to drive to New Jersey. We got onto 84 and hit a horrible pothole. As soon as we were on the entrance to the Thruway in Newburgh, the tire light went on. We managed to pull into the NYS Thruway Garage. When we got out to check the tire, there was a two inch hole in it. We have a 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid, with just over 2,000 miles on, which we purchased from another, local Honda dealership. We called Honda's roadside assistance and we were okayed to take the car to Morehead Honda. Long story short, we managed to get the car towed by a wonderful company. The representative at Morehead Honda, Ms. J. Olsen was phenomenal. She helped us get a brand new tire put on, was open about the costs and any possible issues the may tire may have. She also put in writing for us what had happened for the complaint we sent the NYS Department of Transportation regarding the pothole on the Drury Lane entrance to route 84. read more

Was interested in a low mileage used car, and, to be fair, the mileage was stated accurately, but the wear and tear on the car was much greater than one would expect for the amount of miles stated for the car. Scratches on both sides of the exterior, three out of the four wheels had curb rash, interior was in rough shape. Used car manager still wanted top dollar for the car and wouldn't budge. I ended up going to another dealership and purchasing the same model with 15k miles more, but for almost $4K less. read more

I'd like to give a shout out to Morehead Honda service department for helping me out with a bad situation involving another dealership where I purchased a problematic used car. As the owner of multiple Hondas over time, I've been using Morehead for periodic major maintenance service for many years and find them to be honest and transparent. Employees are held to a high standard. They go the extra mile for customers. Living where I do, there are three Honda dealerships within a half hour drive. These guys have taken a lot of our time and money and our car now has more problems than when we first brought it in. We initially went in because we had a sliding door on our Odyssey that wouldn't close properly, we took it to the dealer since we wanted it fixed correctly, OOPS. When I dropped off the car they said it would take 2 days tops to fix, which was good since we were leaving for vacation in 3 days (road trip to IL). Fast forward to the night before we leave, and they tell us it will actually take 2 weeks to fix, awesome. They were able to get the door to close, but now every time we open it, it bounces back and tries to close and won't stay open. They said they could fix the door not staying open, but it would be about $1,463. In their work to "fix" the door they broke a zipper on one of the middle row seats. They suggested we change the air filter while we were in there, we stupidly agreed. Now every time we turn the AC on it sounds like a jet is taking off inside our car. When we called to complain about the new issues they initially said they didn't touch the air filter, and then later agreed that they had when we asked why we paid for an air filter replacement. When we mentioned the destroyed zipper on the seat, they said "you just need to zip it up, if you cant do that bring it in and we can do it for you." We brought the car back in 2 weeks later (first available appointment when the "master tech" will be in) and they said they could fix both issues in about 30 min, so my wife brought the kids. After being there 3 hours they said they couldn't fix the zipper issue because their interior guy doesn't work that day AND the loud AC issue is completely unrelated to the work they did, it was another issue that they could fix, but it would cost us $500. So somehow, we brought the car in and gave them $1,421 to fix an issue, and now we have an additional $2,000 worth of issues on our car, AMAZING JOB GUYS!! read more

I had always had a good experience with Moorehead Honda. They took care of me and my family and service was always good. I try to dealer service my cars as I have had plenty of nightmares with mechanics. The Service Advisors are usually great (except Mike, he kind of throws off an attitude and acts like he is doing you favor). However I had my car in recently for service and they want to charge me a 3 percent fee for using my credit card which they don't tell you about up front. I really don't want to drive to Poughkeesie, Middletown, or Brewster to service my vehicle but I am not going to pay extra. read more

This is overdue and my complaint is from 2017 I typed it up and never added it. Basically I brought my car in for an oil change and to have my fluid topped off. My car was there for over 6 hours before I was called with an update. Where I was told I needed a new serpentine belt which I just just replaced so I know that was BS. When I finally picked up my car there was a huge crack in my windshield that wasnt there when I dropped it off. The service guy Mike didn't believe me until her finally looked at the intake paper and shocker there was no crack. Also my FIL happened to be coming over that day is a Honda mechanic elsewhere and he checked under the hood when I got home. Belt was 100% fine and none of my fluids were topped off. After battling it out with the managers I finally could bring my car back to have my windshield fixed. I was told I would never have to deal with Mike again and as soon as I came in her came up to me and referred to me as "windshield girl" I'm a doctor you ass and regardless you should have some basic customer service and manners. I figured whatever I'll just deal with him bc I had spoken to the manager who told me I wouldn't have to but she was apparently in a meeting. Well after 15 minutes of Mike telling me it wasn't there fault and the free car detailing I was promised due to the inconvenience wasn't going to be covered and there were no loaner cars that I was also promised for the day, I flew off the handle and had them pull the manager out of the meeting. She apologized profusely and supposedly told them to pull her when I came at our agreed upon time. I wouldn't send my worst enemy to this place. Here is the list of things that just went wrong on just that day. Was not promptly greeted, technician did not introduce himself -Dakota didn't have name tag or introduce herself, I overheard a co-worker say it. -Mike craven did not introduce himself greet with hand shake seemed bothered that he had to work. -dropped off at 9, didn't hear back until 2:39 that my car was ready- paperwork was printed at 1:49 - no ownership or acknowledgement of cracked windshield, no attempt to get to know client/ went back five minutes later and guy couldn't remember my name - No apology or empathy - Ron the manager? Didn't introduce himself no apology offer to make things right.., was annoyed and said they would replace it and walked away - Now I have to go back again - Looked under hood next day, no coolant, no wind shield wiper fluid, oil leaked all over the ground. I've been getting my vehicles serviced serviced here for over 16 years. For approximately the first 5 years their service department was spot on. Under the leadership of Dean it was a business that I felt I could trust. Unfortunately this place has been on a steady decline due to shady business practices. The mechanics are good and this review is not directed towards them. It's the management who make you feel like you've been scammed and the final straw for me was a new policy where if you pay via credit card they are going to charge you a additional fee of 3%. That fee is set for the merchant not the consumer and now Morehead wants to pass the expense onto us. It's not a ethical business practice and I will no longer patronize this business. My advice is to stay away and consider Formula H Motorworks in Middletown instead. read more

I went to this place to get oil changed and brake pads replaced on my civic. They told me that since I hit 100,000 miles I should get the spark plugs and valves replaced. I was told it would be about $700 total. I left the car overnight because of how long it would take. This morning they told me it actually costs $904. When I called the assistant put on telling me it was $700 yesterday he lied straight to my face and said he told me it was $830 plus tax. The lesson here is these people WILL hustle you and lie to your face if you don't have a good understanding of cars. The guy with gelled hair and a white hair spot is a liar. Don't go to him. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED with Morehead Honda! DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLES HERE! Last night we went to start our 2020 HONDA FIT (bought in AUGUST 2020!) at 9:45 and all the lights came on, and it wouldn't roll over to start. We have roadside Honda care, since the car has isn't even 6 months old. They sent a tow truck, who Dan's job works with frequently. He tried to jump it, and it didn't work. He inspected the fuses and showed us that they were not blown, and likely had a defective battery or stater. He towed it to MOREHEAD HONDA, we called at 7:30a when they opened to get the car diagnostics started. Well after being on hold over 30 mins. MULTIPLE times where the service desk clerk stated NO THEY HAVENT DONE DIAGNOSTICS, and NO WE CANT GIVE YOU A LOANER, *you* have to call Honda Corporate and ask for one. Where the corporate woman could hear everything the service manager was saying (and is laughing saying SHE IS WRONG!!) so I asked her to file a complaint and open a case (which she did) and the service manager calls back and tells us WE JUMPED THE CAR BACKWARDS! And WE BLEW THE FUSE! Jennifer, the tow guys career is jumping cars, and towing them. You think he blew it?? I called the dealership where we bought the car, and he said "it's very likely a defective battery because that's what the newest cars do (the clicking roll over sound with all the lights in tact!) If the issue was that the car wouldn't start BEFORE WE JUMPED IT, WHAT WAS THE ISSUE?? WHY WOULD WE TRY TO JUMP IT IF THERE WAS NO ISSUE!? Riddle me that Jennifer! The service department here is a scam. My family has done business with Morehead for quite some time. As a backyard mechanic, I had been suspicious of a few services they recommended. Most recently, my father (who is aging) brought the car in for an inspection and was advised he needed a new timing belt. He was told to leave the vehicle and it'd cost over $1000. When I learned about this, I researched it and discovered his vehicle has a timing chain, not a timing belt. We called the service department. As we began to question it, they conceded that vehicle doesn't have a timing belt and no repairs were necessary. We immediately picked up the car and will never do business here again. These people will lie through their teeth to do unnecessary, expensive repairs... until you wise up and catch them in their lies. Be alert if you do business here. read more

I had been using the service department at this location since 2007 without issue. Recently my AC stopped blowing cold air. I brought it in a few weeks ago.....I was told my AC had "Black Death" and that the entire thing needed to be replaced. The quote I was given was $5200....um, my car is a 2006 so I wasn't about to spend that. The advisor Jackie was maybe trying to cheer me up and said the tech offered to give me $500 if I wanted to sell my car.....Um, excuse me it's a CRV! The car is worth way more than that! I asked if they could put Freon in the car and see what happened....I was told absolutely not. Then I had to pay their inspection fee to be told a bunch of BS. I took my car to another independent mechanic.....he said the compressor was running and then said let's put some Freon in and see what happens and charged me nothing! Well it's been about a month and my ac is working just fine. I tried to speak to a manager but they could care less and never called me back. So thanks Morehead for helping me discover an honest mechanic, seems like you don't employ them anymore! read more

I lost my key fob. Was quoted over the phone a price of $215. While the car was being towed they changed it to $300. Earlier they told me I could pay the next day because my credit cards were with the lost key. Later they said they would hold my car until I paid. They sold me the car with bad brakes and a bad battery. If you must go there get everything in writing. If you buy a car there have your own mechanic check it over. read more

Purchased two certified used cars from Morehead over the last three months and found them to be fair. Doug, our salesman was great to work with. Very respectful, not pushy and made both purchases an easy process. He even followed up with a phone calls a few weeks after each purchase to see how we were enjoying our cars, and if there was anything he could. Who does that?!? A GREAT salesman! My Girlfriend took her 2013 Honda Civic there on 11/19/2022 for a State inspection. They told her that it failed because the serpentine belt had cracks in the grooved side of the belt. Since I am a certified NYS inspector myself I knew this wasn't correct and they kept saying it was going to fail and wanted to charge her Approximately $250 to replace the belt. She had me on speakerphone and I told her to let them fail it and to put it in writing why the failed it. I then read what would be a reason for failing the belt and that they had no reason for failing it. I then said I was going to report them to the Department of motor vehicles and wouldn't you know it they then realized their mistake and passed the vehicle for inspection. But as a result of me educating them on what they should have already known they told my girlfriend she is no longer allowed to bring her vehicles there for service in the future. She has brought her car there since she purchased it there in 2013 for all services and this is how they treat a good customer. I would suggest to everyone to look for another Honda dealership to purchase and service your vehicle. I just wonder how many other people they have said the same thing to that just believed what they were told and had them do the work. It's fraudulent repairs. read more

All vehicles up front are all worn down used and over 30,000 they don't even have more tag price on them .The demo vehicles on the side are over used grease on seats sales guys leave their lunch and garbage behind very sad.its amazing the place is still open kinda pathetic. This dealership knows that you already done your research so they will spend minimal time trying to give you a deal. DONT ever ask them about military discount. You will have to provide LES, ID CARD, and all sorts of integrity checked items. I'm sorry, I won't recommend anyone to this dealership. On the other hand, the Toyota dealership up the street on 17k near the Stewart control tower offers excellent service. Military discount is welcome and no integrity check. This is the worst customer service I've ever seen in my life my car went in because it had a check engine light I didn't get a call once so I called and when I called I kept getting transferred to someone's voicemail box and finally I got through and he said "I test drove the car and we keep trying to reset the code and we tried twice and today were gonna have my service manger try too" the car is a 2018 Honda Civic si instead of trying to reset the code why don't you try to fix the actual problem. Then I call back later that day to someone who had the worst attitude I've ever seen and she told me she drove my car all the way to Middletown and the light never came and that the light never came on before either so basically calling me and the other guy a liar and told me if I don't like how the service is I'm more then welcome to just come pickup my car cause they can't figure out any problem. They wanted to send me back with a car that still isn't even fixed and they did nothing besides clear the code. They texted us at 4:41pm and told us to come get our car, however when we came they wouldn't release the car to us. "Services is closed" right, but you can't tell me to come get my car and not give it to us because you failed to tell me they left at 5pm. You made me waste gas, someone else's time, and messed up everyone's schedule to come tomorrow. Every time I'm here, it's a problem and they're all completely useless. No one knows what they're doing here or how to help anyone. They never know how to properly fix things or explain/talk to the customers. They're money grabbing liars and incompetent. I went to Morehead Honda today for the first oil change on my new 2017 Honda Accord. I should have suspected that customer service was not a priority when it took me 1/2 hour to make the appointment (in person in the dealership). I got to Morehead at 10:29 for my 10:30 appointment. I stood around waiting for approximately 25 minutes, waiting for a service advisor to become available to start the process. Once I was able to get with a service advisor, none of the information I had given the young man last week was available, so it was all entered again. The service advisor said, blithely, that it should be done within a hour. Two hours later when I got up to speak to a manager about my 2.5 hour ordeal, the service advisor told me I was all set. I asked to speak to the dealership' s general manager, the advisor had the service manager, Ronnie Morehead, come in to see me. The total lack of customer service continued with Mr. Morehead. He gave me some lame excuse about being slammed, but no apology or offer to make it right. Mr. Morehead then proceeded to tell the advisor to take my payment and give me my keys and get me out of the dealership. I paid, got my keys and went out to my car. Another customer came in at the same time as I and left at the same time, made a point to let me know her oil change had bern comp'ed due to the wait. Needless to say, I was pretty unhappy. I called the dealership from my car and asked to speak to the general manager. I was told the general manager was out all week, and the sales manager, Richard Bray, was acting as general manager. I was put through to his phone, and left a voice mail. I called back an hour later and was told he was in a meeting and unavailable. I left a message with Jackie, asking Mr. Bray to please call me back. I also asked for, and eventually got email addresses for both Mr. Bray and the General Manager, Mark N. An hour later still no return call. I called back a 3rd time and was hung up on when I asked for Mr. Bray. I have filed a case with Honda America, and will be pursuing this further. Morehead Honda could have done the correct thing very easily from the start, starting with letti g me know that they were running so far behind instead of letting me just sit there. Another opportunity was missed by Mr. Morehead who failed to do anything about the situation, not even using it as a learning opportunity. And Mr. Bray has not even had the courtesy of returning any of my phone calls. I can only urge that no one do business with Morehead. They have no idea what customer service whatsoever, and their slogan "We get it" is completely misleading. read more

if I could give zero stars I would. by far the least professional car dealership I've ever been to. the employees were joking around the whole time I was there and even made fun of multiple customers they were helping over the phone. the technicians are not trustworthy. they sold my family member a car that broke down a week later and put the blame on them. to quote one of the employees that were assisting us "we don't compensate for disappointment". we will definitely be contacting the corporate office for the horrible experience we had. read more
