We went to this…read moreoffice about three times, and all three visits required us to wait over 45 minutes to an hour just to be seen for only about 10 minutes. This last visit my husband waited 1 hr and 15 minutes. Two out of the three visits felt completely pointless. The doctor said there was nothing wrong, even though he barely checked. My son was experiencing pain in his mouth for the past 3 day, we even messaged his pediatrician and she advised us to go to the dentist. The doctor completely dismissed my husband's concerns by saying he was probably being overdramatic because his teeth is still growing. My son had just turned 3--pain is pain to a child that young. At least examine and try to figure it out instead of brushing my husband off. My husband mentioned that he had seen blood on our son's upper lip and that he hasn't been sleeping or eating well, yet the doctor said he "didn't see anything." You're a doctor, you should know that is somewhat concerning if we're telling you, he had pain, his upper lip was bleeding, and hasn't been sleeping or eating. After reading other reviews, I noticed similar complaints about negligence from some of the providers here. One reviewer even mentioned that after going elsewhere, they discovered their child had more issues than originally thought because their provider kept insisting everything was fine. I refuse to let my son go through that. If you suspect something is wrong but are repeatedly told everything is okay, I strongly advise getting a second opinion.

My daughter needed treatment on her teeth and when she makes noises or flinches, they give up on her and try to say she is difficult. So they tried to refer her to a specialist that will put her under anesthesia so she will not move at all. I don't feel comfortable putting my toddler child under anesthesia. It's your job as a dentist to try every means possible before going that route not go that route because she flinches and makes noises. She's a normal kid nervous of the dentist but they don't comfort her. She dreads going here. So we took her to another dental clinic for a second opinion and the other dentist omgosh was amazing with her!! He looked at the teeth that this place has done and saw that the dentists at Bethel messed up her teeth so she will have to get them fixed with the new dentist because Bethel Dentists left the cavity in every tooth instead of taking it out and not provide the filling all the way. She also got the treatment done with the new dentist and it did not take long and they did not have to put her under anesthesia. They made her comfortable unlike this place and were able to do it in minutes. She said she loves going to the dentist now instead of dreading it or feeling fear. We are Christians and we wanted to go to a Christian dentist which had great kid-like atmosphere but when it comes to a good dentist that is best for my child and well being, I rather go somewhere else instead of this place that immediately recommends putting kids under anesthesia when they are not even that difficult and are just being nervous kids. So I would not recommend this place unfortunately. Go somewhere else where they will calm and comfort your child and not make them scared of going to the dentist and will not give up on them if they move or make noises.

Every dental assistant was so great with both of our kids ( 4 & 2 years old) and remained patient and understanding when our kids were reasonably scared or reluctant during the exams. They even got a full set of X-rays on both kids! The last office we went to didn't even try. We were recently seen by another pediatric dentistry and left feeling like we were bad parents because our kids both had a few (or many) cavities. Dr. Elfarra reassured us that they were treatable and that sometimes genetics come in to play. The previous dentist told me my daughter's cavities were from nursing and nothing else, and that I needed to wean off. Here, the staff gave a much more compassionate response AND a suitable treatment plan for both kids to achieve healthier teeth. Dr. Elfarra and his awesome staff played with our kids and offered such a friendly and fun environment; my son left saying he had so much fun!! This is exactly the kind of office that was meant to take care of young children and offer reassurance to their parents and families. My husband and I are so grateful to have found this office and hope to continue bringing our kids here for the foreseeable future. Thank you so so much for taking care of us!

On the day of the appointment, I was told parents are not allowed to go back with their child; she's in kindergarten, and that's just not something I'm comfortable with. I waited over an hour for them to call my daughter. As we were waiting I asked to use their bathroom. When we walked in there was a huge roach on the floor. My instinct was to take my daughter and leave, but we had been waiting so long already so I continued to wait. When they finally called my daughter in the assistant tells me that I have to wait in the lobby. I asked her if it is because they are going to take x-rays and she said yes. So after my daughters x-rays I went in to sit with daughter to wait for the dentist. Then another assissant came over to me and said parents are NOT allowed to wait with their child. I asked why and she said it is their "policy." I have taken my daughter to other dentists office and have always been able to sit with her in the room. I then looked over and saw a kid, who looked about 7 years old, crying hysterically as they were working on his mouth. The assistants did not even acknowledge the boy. They were just talking and laughing like the boy didn't even exist. I did notice that this child's parent was not in the room. My heart was breaking for the child. Needless to say, I took my daughter and we left. I will not be returning there. Please be careful leaving you children unattended in that office. I am thinking of writing to the Dental Board of California because something tells me this is not legal.

Today, I had my first appointment. Of course, there was a lot of paperwork ahead of time…read more Two other people had appointments around the same time after the staff returned from lunch. They went ahead of me. After a half hour or so, Ingrid came to take x-ray shots. It was somewhat difficult for me to open my mouth so wide but we got through it. Contrast that to another office in town where it seemed she had to take hundreds of images to get enough that were good. I was transferred to the dentist. It's somewhat private, not like the old style dental facilities but also not like one in Florida where there were six or seven of us side-by-side in a row of chairs. We talked about my situation and I explained a few things about my history with dentists. The dentist was surprised, but she was young and probably hadn't met bad dentists all that often. She went through the teeth and analyzed the problems, which were recorded by another person. After this process, she explained what could be done from fillings and extractions to implants and partial plates. I need a lot of work. This person who helped her record the analysis took me to her office. We discussed potential cost and how much Medi-Cal would pay. She put in the request for the deep cleaning and other procedure to be approved. She explained the prices, which of course, were not easy to accept, but understandable. She mentioned payment plans. I told her that I would have to go slowly. I'm going to return in a couple of weeks for fillings. Hopefully, by then, I'll have some idea of how to handle the other things on the list. They wanted to sell me something that would probably help my gums, but the cost was prohibitive. I'm guessing that they don't make much money with people on Medi-Cal but they should understand that the same people are struggling already. With each person, I was treated with respect, and asked if I had questions. No one rushed me or made me feel uncomfortable. Their equipment seems to be quite modern, like any that you would expect in a more expensive facility. I hope that my future visits will be positive. Update: The fillings visit was very good and things remained happy. We joked a bit and I found that the assistant came from an area toward the East Coast and we shared some food stories. The dentist's drill is probably the sound I really don't want to hear but it went well and I was okay with how quickly and smoothly everything went.
