This office scams you out of Your money and makes you fight to get it back even though it's their fault. I was charged almost 1000.00 out of pocket but they told the insurance I paid 700 and change. Thankfully I kept the receipts. This was in January fast forward to May and all of my insurance being used so I had to contact the ins. Company regarding recent cleaning and they brought up oral surgery from January. I was shocked to find out how much this office owed me and NEVER let me know! I called In May and was told told its because the ins co paid them late...excuse me it was settled and paid on March 2 we are now at the end of May. Never accepted responsibility and says I will now have to wait another month until July for a refund. Got ins. Company involved after seeing how many other people they have scammed for money, who know how many people never found out they over paid because they definitely don't alert you to any over payments. Shady office, if I was this Dr. I would do something about this office staff unless he is in on it. I received oral surgery to remove four impacted wisdom teeth; they charged me almost $1100 for the procedure. Beforehand, it was okay, but there was little reassurance of what would happen. I was put to sleep and done; when I woke up, I was okay. Then everything went downhill; I was hastily walked out by a female nurse who was irritated and more concerned about dropping me off to my relative than caring. I had a gauze in my mouth, and it almost went down my throat if it wasn't for my relative saving me from choking on it. I was out of it due to the medicine and didn't realize what was going on. The nurse came out and was irritated more and, put another gauze in my mouth and walked away fast. I don't recall the nurse's name, but it's a HORRIBLE post-surgery service. read more

I'll start by saying, I admittedly haven't taken great care of my teeth for the bulk of my life. Sure, I brush them multiple times a day but at 33 years old, I am definitely in dire need of braces, a good cleaning, and to get some dental disease under control. One issue I had recently didn't go away like I hoped it would. I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth and my bottom right one began hurting like a mother. That went on for a week while I waiting for an appointment with my normal dentist (not this office, by the way), during which time the pain was SO bad, I had to go to the ER at 1am. My dentist took one look at my mouth and said "yep, it needs to come out, but we can't do it here, you need an oral surgeon." They refused to give me more than 1 day's worth of pain meds, kept me on the wrong dose of antibiotics, and gave me an appointment for a consultation TWO WEEKS away. Within two DAYS the pain was so bad, I seriously considered nefarious means of getting pain meds vs. just ripping the tooth out myself. I called my dentist in tears and they tried one last time to refer me to somewhere else...which turned out to be Ashok Vareenki's office. I was able to be seen a week sooner, which was better than I was going to get anywhere else. The appointment was set for the 4th and I was under the impression they would take the tooth out that day (this was coming from my regular dentist, who made the appointment for me). A receptionist from Dr. Vareenki's office called me on 2/1 to confirm my appointment and I was informed it was only for consultation, NOT the surgery. I was distraught. I hadn't been able to sleep, eat, or take care of my newborn in 2 weeks already and I was at the end of my rope with the pain. I begged them to see me early for a consultation so that I could just get the tooth out. Alma at the front desk (I hope that's her name and I hope I spelled it right) was an absolute ANGEL. She tooth my pain seriously and got me in for a consult the same day with Dr. Vanderbeek. He diagnosed me with pericoronitis and an impacted tooth, and agreed surgery was the cure. Everyone I interacted with at my consultation from the front desk, to the dental nurse, to the doctor, to the financial coordinator was kind, professional, and focused on helping me get out of pain ASAP. I'm TERRIFIED of dentists and they put me immediately at ease. They even kept my original appointment for 2/4 and turned it into a surgical appointment. Which is good because a day before surgery, my tooth finally abscessed and drained, so there was definitely a nasty infection going on. So today, I had my surgery, and you know...for getting teeth ripped out of my face, it was actually a pleasant experience. They talked me through what they were going to do, eased my fears, and made it a painless event. FINALLY, NO MORE PAIN. I mean, I'm sore from the surgery and the swelling, but that's to be expected. I still need my last 2 wisdom teeth out as well as another tooth removed that's been dead for some time. I will definitely be coming back to Dr. Vanderbeek and his team when I'm going to get that done! So 5 stars because: -They are accommodating -They are empathetic and compassionate to your pain -They take you seriously and you feel heard instead of ignored -They make the process quick and comfortable -Their pricing is reasonable (another dentist was trying to charge my husband the same cost FOR TWO FILLINGS as I was charged for general anesthesia and two wisdom teeth removals!) We have been very happy and satisfied with Dr. Veeranki and his staff. My daughter who is 13 had her 2 baby canines and 2 adult canines extracted. We were nervous and worried but it was a very pleasant experience from making appointment, reminders from the office about how to prepare for the surgery, to day of surgery, everything was explained clearly and patiently by Dr. Veeranki we didn't feel rushed at all. The surgery went well and the follow up check in calls were really helpful and all our post op questions were answered. I didn't have a good experience with the office staff & billing. It was terrible and cheating... Before making an appointment for consultation, I did had few calls with office staff to confirm what my exact out of pocket (including deductible). They got my insurance details and ran the benefits and came back and said my payment would $43. I double confirmed with them that this would be my final payment including deductible and everything for this consultation service. They said yes. Then I booked an appointment for consultation. During my visit I paid $43 and completed the consultation. After few weeks, I get a bill stating I owe them $38 more. I called them, they said the insurance billed the deductible and that's the difference. After I explained the history, they said they will check again and see what can be done; but no response/callback. but they kept sending the balance due remainder statement. After couple of months, I called again, but then they walked away from what they said earlier and insisted I owe this balance. The office staff & billing were extremely unprofessional to deal with. Poor office management and customer service at this dental office. Keep away from them if you don't want to be overcharged!!! read more

His office is clean, his staff is friendly, and he did a great job when my husband needed several teeth extracted, even though my husband had some pretty extensive dental issues. My husband was nervous to have the work done but thanks to Dr. Veeranki's caring and gentle manner, the procedure was very quick and painless. Office has patient pay 100% upfront then office staff botches insurance reimbursement process. First child they kept my insurance reimbursement check for two months. Second child took 6 1/2 months to get my reimbursement check because their office staff is incompetent. Stay on top of things if you use this office. read more

Dr Veeranki was my oral surgeon. He was prompt, straight to the point, no BS dentist. He did an awesome job on taking care of my 2 wisdom teeth. Even my regular dentist was impressed on how he did the incisions. His team from Alma in the reception desk to Madison his hygienist are just the best! They make you feel comfortable, keep you in the loop and definitely know what they're doing. Definitely recommend them! read more

Sadly starting off on a sour note, who doesn't have wireless for their customers these days? Parents need to work and taking time off to sit in the waiting room while your child has oral surgery at the very least you could offer a way to work and not to mention letting your customers use the guest work isn't rocket science, such a simple ask. After receiving excellent care previously in their Tracy office, I did not have the same in Manteca. After being quoted for a procedure, a couple of days later they came back with another 1k due at day of procedure. Even though they would of work on the amount, when I need to reschedule Tammy was very belittling to me and was very unprofessional with her tone. My daughter saw Dr. Veeranki to have all 4 of her wisdom teeth extracted under general anesthesia (she was asleep). Dr. Veeranki and his staff were extremely courteous and efficient. We had a terrible experience dealing with this office staff. They were extremely unprofessional dealing with us and our insurance benefits, (coverage was confirmed & the max benefit was also confirmed, we agreed to pay the difference). Today my son was scheduled to have his wisdom teeth removed, the office called THE DAY OF SURGERY to inform us that we would be expected to pay all costs of the surgery upfront, and it would be up to us to ask our insurance for reimbursement. I had a great experience with dr Ashok veeranki! I was so nervous today to get my four wisdom teeth pulled. I been having anxiety all week from it barely slept the night before. I came to the back and started to cry and ask a lot of questions about the procedure. I'm thankful the nurses reassured me everything was going to be alright. When Dr. Veeranki came into the room he was talking to me after that i woke up. I don't remember getting knocked out or remember going to the car afterwards. I don't have a lot of swelling it's very little. My left side is good hasn't bled. But my right side is hurting a little bit and bleeding. Other than that i feel okay. I can't wait till i feel all better! He's a great surgeon i recommend him to anyone they is having surgery for teeth. He did very good. I'm glad it was him that did my wisdom teeth. :) read more

Dental work is never fun and never easy. I had to have a molar pulled and I had an implant placed.... no fun. But, the staff here was AMAZING. They were always so kind and gentle with me (even when I was freaking out before anesthesia)... I knew I was in good hands the whole time. The doctor was knowledgable and really helped me relax. The staff was very clear and upfront about how much it was going to cost and what my insurance would and would not cover.
