I started coming here for all my dental work in May of 2024 & have never gotten a better experience at any dental office I've been to. Starting with the first time I called asking if they were accepting new patients & then coming in & speaking to the front desk ladies (they're all very kind, sweet & helpful). The dental assistants, hygienists & my dentist (Dr.Tran- lady) are so informative & never mind answering my questions or explaining the dental work they're doing for me before they start on me for the day. The office also has a nice lobby area with the most comfortable chairs & it really ties the office look all together. I can't wait to keep coming here, they'll be receiving five stars from me as long as I am with them (which I hope is forever)! read more

I have been to MANY DIFFERENT DENTISTS and I have to say that the only ones I trust ALL THE WAY 100% are Dr. Nguyen and Dr. Tran. They are a 2-hour round trip drive from my house so I have made the mistake of going to dentists CLOSER to where I live out of convenience for a couple of cleanings. When I had done this, I noticed another dentist said that I needed a ROOT CANAL but after getting a second opinion from Dr. Nguyen, he told me I only needed a deep filling. I had Dr. Nguyen do the work on me, and it turns out he was right! I just needed a deep filling (not a root canal)! I told Dr. Nguyen and Dr. Tran that I will make the 2-hour commute to see them for my dental needs from now on! Not only are they trustworthy, but their services are also affordable! Their assistants and receptionists are also very friendly. Oh I forgot to mention, I have high anxiety when I go to the dentist! My body will literally tremble. But with the uplifting music in the office and Dr. Tran's soothing prayers, I am able to relax and feel trust that I am in good hands! read more

My family and I recently relocated to this area, and I have been having some tooth pain lately and figured it was time to establish care with a new dentist. Jackie was wonderful from beginning to end! She is very warm and welcoming and incredibly attentive. She offered me a next day urgent appointment since I mentioned having some tooth pain- and I let her know I may need a root canal, to which she then ensured my appointment would be long enough to allow for that procedure if it was needed. I thought that was so thoughtful. She was able to set me up with my appointment easily and also got my husband in the same week for his initial exam and cleaning. My appointment was so smooth from check in up until the actual procedure. Both Dr. Tran and Dr. Nguyen were incredibly kind and helpful. I was of course apprehensive about needing a root canal; dentists I've had in the past were usually cold and condescending and would make the overall experience dreadful. Neither Dr. Tran nor Dr. Nguyen made me feel uncomfortable or embarrassed at any point- which was huge in relieving my anxiety about the procedure! Their staff were also SO attentive and friendly. Gabby took wonderful care of me; ALL of their staff are so professional and thorough. My root canal was done quickly and I felt no pain. Amazing staff the cleaning was great the Doctor took the time to show me how to floss correctly nothing was rushed and I was out in a normal time . last year I went to other place where they were so unbelievably unprofessional they talked about other patients and made me feel I was bothering them for just having an appointment never going back to Plume Dental in Lathrop. read more

Went in for an emergency wisdom tooth exam and specifically told the nurse that I'd like to focus on the problem area and to get a yes or no on whether the doctor could do the extraction or not. I was not there for a general exam or for anything else since the issue has caused pain for the last month and a half. Instead, the doctor instructs the nurse to take excessive X-rays and does an exam on my entire mouth, ignoring my concerns of the initial reasoning for my visit. The nurse mentions to the doctor that I wanted to focus on the problem area and ignores her. She then mentions that she tried not forcing the X-rays but "boss's rules". I didn't realize "boss's rules" ruled over a patient's consent. I am aware this is a general office and a specialist would likely be suggested but was also told differently over the phone at the initial appointment scheduling. I am not frustrated that the doctor could not perform the procedure, I am upset that other excessive actions and exams were done feeling like the initial problem was being brushed aside. An answer that should have been given within the first 45 minutes turned into almost 2 hours of uncomfortable X-raying. After, I was finally told to leave the wisdom tooth in unless it is causing pain which is why I was visiting in the first place and expressed the second I was in the chair. I pushed my concerns until I was finally given a referral for a specialist which was the prime reason for the visit. I walked in at 2:00pm and sat for paperwork until 2:20pm and left at 3:58pm. read more

Recently moved to Lathrop so I needed a dentist around the area. I found 1st Lathrop last year and brought my 2 year old and myself. They were really patient with us especially considering it was 'my 2 year olds first time. A year later, I came back due to pain on one of my tooth's and they were able to get me in an en emergency the next day. I really felt they understood my pain and did the BEST they could to make it go away. I ended up getting a bridge and let me tell you I couldn't be more happier. I really like this dental office. I like that I don't have to call the dental office back to confirm an appointment that I already made. I dislike dental offices that text you or call you to let you know that if you don't call them back, they're going to cancel your appointment. It's challenging enough to make the time to call in and schedule an appointment, let alone find more time to call to tell them not to cancel an appt that you haven't called to cancel or reschedule to begin with. I like that they text you and you just send back a yes or no to confirm your appt. It's easy, convenient, and less time-consuming. The receptionists were very friendly. The dental assistant, Gabi, explained every step, was accommodating, friendly, and knowledgeable. Jackie at the front showed me what each of my dental plans covered in great detail and explained everything. Loved Dr. Tran. She was warm and caring, Further, I have been going to several different dentists trying to figure out why my left upper molar would hurt when I would bite into things. Dr. Tran offered a solution and believed it was because my crown was protruding and that perhaps that molar was the first to touch when I would bite into something causing pain to shoot up. She filed it down, and I'm hoping that this resolves this issue that I've had for years. Dr. Tran took the time to educate me on my teeth and made suggestions and recommendations like buying an extra soft toothbrush. The only thing that was missing that I usually get is a full flossing, but doctor did review flossing with me. I also noticed a father and an older boy coming from the back, which was nice to see. Lately, I've been hearing and, seeing a lot of dental offices that are preventing parents from being with their children in the dental chair, which I don't think should be allowed. It strips parents of their rights to be with their child and be a part of the experience and supervise. This means you have to trust that the dentist is doing what they said they did and billing your insurance for and also that you trust that nothing is going to happen to your child back there. I had a place tell me that they had cameras back there, which means nothing to me. Videos can be deleted and/or altered. I know people change dentists when this happens, and they find one that is respectful and supportive of the parent-child relationship I also like that the dentists have been there for years, and I like that the assistant who helped me has been there for 4 years. It's a good sign. I did not feel rushed. I felt like she took her time to see me. I know other dental offices overbook their patients and then don't hire enough staff. One question that I didn't ask is if they have a dental hygienist. I prefer offices that have dental hygienists. Overall, I'm happy with my first time experience at this office. read more

This office has the most friendliest and kind staff I have ever experienced at a dentist office. Everyone from the dentist to the assistants have always provided excellent customer service. Dr. Tran (the wife) is the one that I usually see and she is so gentle. I came to see her at 8mo pregnant with terrible pain from a broken filling and they were able to provide me a dental plan that really made me feel comfortable. I love the fact that they are holistically centered as well and were able to administer ozone treatments after the extraction which helped heal my gums quickly with less complications. I have since referred several friends that have had a great experience as well. And little did I know that by referring a friend they took an amount off of my last fee. Ana and Jacky that run the front desk are so funny and sweet! They always make me laugh and we have great convos! Gabi is also one of my fav dental assistants. She is so kind and relatable and very gentle with me as well. Overall, they deserve the highest praise! I love this dental office and would not go anywhere else! Went into the office as a first time patient. And I will never return. Not only did I wait for over an hour to see the doctor, but I also did not feel like covid precautions were being enforced. Doctor was jumping from patient to patient. Didn't wash hands or change mask between going between patients. Seemed like he was in a hurry to go to the next patient and wasn't willing to spend time with me and answer my questions I had. Not only would he not answer my questions but he was so pushy to start on my fillings that day. When he already had other patients there that were waiting. I didn't want to wait another hour just to have my fillings done. Which would have been rushed since he was bouncing back and forth room to room. read more

While I live in Tracy, I don't hesitate to make the drive to come here for my cleanings or dental needs for the following reasons: I have immune system and other health issues which Dr. Tran and her staff are very understanding and considerate of. This office is amalgam/mercury free, which is of huge importance to me. Dr. Tran and her team are absolutely amazing. She knows what she's doing and is always up to date on the latest treatments and methods of dentistry. I believe she told me that they are also going to start offering Ozone therapy for those who want to use it in their treatments, which is awesome. (Look into it) Every time I have come in, they have gone above and beyond to make sure I'm comfortable. This is also important to me because I never know how I'll be feeling. The dentist in this place is amazing and she is very professional! She tells you like it is as far as what can happen to your teeth, what you need to do to care for it, etc. When I had fillings done, she took great care to make sure I wasn't in too much pain and that I was comfortable. She is very patient, especially with me because I have lock-jaw, and I get tired quick from having my mouth open. All of the staff here are very nice and very easy to work with. read more

My entire family has tried to get simple cleanings (100% covered by our insurance) from this office. They refused to do a cleaning on my husband or I saying that we both needed deep cleanings that were only 80% covered by our insurance. They were willing to do a cleaning on our daughter, but she said what they did was more like a polishing: round tool on each tooth & a flossing. No water pick, scrapping off of any plaque, or even fluoride treatment! My husband went ahead and had the "deep cleaning" done. He said it was exactly what a simple cleaning was at his old dentist. We will NEVER be back to this dentist. The only thing they have going for them is a friendly staff. read more

To do my comments justice, it is important to know that I am one of those people who absolutely dreads going to the dentist.
