I've been coming to this specific location for over 5 years (even after moving farther away, i tend to venture back here). The food is amazing, my go-to are pupusas de ayote, frojole con queso, and loroco. Absolutely amazing. And as a treat I always get an order of empanadas de leche, which is a hit or miss when you ask them to please add the sugar on top (in my household sugar on top was standard so i might be biased lol) The only reason this gets a 4/5 stars is because of the price. I understand inflation, but they sure do raise them. The restaurant itself is small and intimate, super cute. I also recommend the horchata ! The food here used to be great. now it's all new cooks & cashiers. The service is horrible they always seem so bored to be there and get bugged when a customer walks in. The food does not taste good, the cheese pupusas is all hard the cheese isn't even the one you're suppose to use for pupusas. the revueltas have very little meat inside it's just a plain tortilla. The sauce is extremely spicy which i've never had a spicy sauce for pupusas. they need to learn to package better all the water for the curtido fell. and all our pupusas got soggy by the time we got home, keep in mind not everyone likes their pupusas soggy. Friendly restaurant that served a wide variety of Salvadorean food, including seafood, soups, breakfast, steak, sandwiches, a small Mexican menu, and much more. They also have horchata and lots of different juices. I usually get horchata or zanahoria (carrot) juice. The pupusas are made fresh to order from scratch, and you can see the people shaping the dough in the back. You get these piping hot, and of course, it always comes with curtido (pickled cabbage) and some mild red hot sauce, which you can pile on top. The pupusas are only $2.25-$2.50, depending on what you get. I usually get the queso con loroco or queso con frijoles, but it's pretty much all good. Since they make things from scratch, you probably should not be in a hurry if you come here. It's not fast food, but made fresh to order. Definitely recommended! read more

If you are coming to Morazan, you're not coming for the service or decor. You're coming for the pupusas. I was referred to Morazan by an El Salvadoran nurse who works nearby. She told me that Morazan has her favorite pupusas in Los Angeles. She emphasized that I should try the Loroco pupusa which is made from flour derived from a plant indigenous to El Salvador. FGI. I tried one Loroco pupusa filled with cheese and one Rebueleta/Revueleta pupusu filled with cheese, beans, and chicharron. Don't expect to have fried pork rind in the Rebueleta, chicharron in this case refers to ground pork meat... not skin. The two pupusas more than delivered against my modest expectations, but mostly because I felt "in the know" about ordering the Loroco which uses special flour imported from El Salvador. There are several Morazan restaurants in the valley and my server said they are all owned by the same family. One of them has a four star review on Yelp. read more

I have been coming here for almost 10 years now, since my mum found the place. She's Guatemalan and picky about her down home comforts. This place ticked all the boxes for her. The food is fresh and made to order, so it does take a moment. But what comes out of that kitchen is a masterpiece! The service has always been great. Definitely a thumbs up from us! Pro-tip: If you're in a hurry, call in your order for pickup. Every so often, you'll be told they don't take phone orders. Apparently, that's the owner's daughter-in-law trying to sabotage the place. I would have gave this place a 1, BUT the drinks are delish! i only ordered the papusas combo, so i cant speak on ALL the food there. this place was ok, although i can get better pupusas @ Vallarta supermarket. But i do really love the drinks they serve here. "ensalada" it like water but with chopped up fruit...pineapple and apples. (very sweet and fresh) "chan" or something like that. Updating my review from 6 months ago and I still have all the same compliments to give. Great authentic Salvadorena food, pleasant waitresses and a nice space to eat. I came in to pick up some breakfast for my mom and myself this morning. I called in, placed the order and they said it'd be ready in 20 mins. I left my house 20 mins later (since I'm so close) and no problems when I arrived. Parking was plenty, was attended to right away and I walked out with my order in like 5 mins. I arrived as they were putting the order in to-go boxes. Eating the food I ordered, I'm reminded why we come here and why we will continue to keep eating at El Morazan restaurants. I been coming here since I was a young girl. The restaurant is family owned so everyone that works there are related. They been around for years. The food taste the same no matter the time, day or year you go. It is good food. I always ordered the pupusas. The revueltas ones to be specific. They are a decent size and when they are .99 cents they are a bit smaller. The only thing they need to fix is to add more cheese cause they seemed to come out a bit dry sometimes.The sopa de pata is really good too. I am never going back tho since I had a bad experience with the ladies there. One day my mother was sick and ask me to go pick up a chicken soup for her here. I told her to order it by phone and ill go pick it up. So she did that. When I got there this dark skinny lady which was the only waitress there, while they had three older ladies in the back cooking was the only one helping out. She ask me for my name gave it to her and told me that it was going to take more time for the order to come out. While waiting I noticed that she was putting the soup cup in a bag with another side plate to go. When she came out she told me my order was ready so I told her that we only order a soup and that the side plate did not belong to me. Then she argued to me that my mom in the phone clearly order a soup and a chicken combination plate. I called my mom to confirm and she said the lady on the phone was not understanding what she was ordering and she clearly only order the soup. So the waitress thought she was slick and when she ranged me up in the cashier she was charging $12, like really $12 for a soup so i told her why so much and she said "cause you had us cooked the chicken plate i have to charge you" so i told her i didnt want it. So this WITCH went back to tell the other three ladies in the back that i had ordered it and now didnt want it. So those WITCHES told her that she "couldnt" sell me only the soup that i if i wanted it i had to buy the chicken plate combination too.
