When it was a taco place, we would walk from my house to grab a meal all the time. Good memories. I was so excited when I saw this was going to be a baleada place, I have many Honduran friends who've invited me for homemade baleadas and other yummy dishes. Between November and December I drove up to order food and every time they were closed. On one occasion I went and they closed the gates on me... 15 minutes before their listed closing time. I was not happy. In February I saw they were open, but I called in a simple order to make sure. The baleadas were very good. In March I saw they were open, I walked up and ordered baleadas, pastelitos, tacos, and tamales. Some items were good, others were just okay. I didn't enjoy the tamales at all, no flavor and not even enough salt. On both ocassions, I thought the price was worth it for the food I got. Today we wanted to have quick lunch, I ordered 3 baleadas with meat, plátanos, and a maracuyá juice. I was shocked when she said $30. I paid anyways, thinking I was going to get a receipt with prices, but no I got a CC receipt for $31.25. ( $1.25 service charge) I went on my calculator and tallied it up. It only came to $25 and change.... Then there was the lady's attitude. She offered me plátanos with eggs and I asked for just the order of plátanos, so she did not give me any beans or cheese and crema. She did correct it, the beans and crema were good, but the cheese was terrible. (I was kinda happy she gave me so little, I just threw it away.) The baleadas were okay as compared to other places. I've had better and worse. I hate to sound picky, but I gave this place many chances, especially since it's Latina owned.... But even my friends said they had bad experiences here, and I am the one who recommended it to them. Sorry, not sorry.

When I brought this to the attention of the waiter and cook, they both insisted that it looked normal to them. I couldn't even bite into it. After trying to resolve the issue without success, I offered to pay for the meal and ordered something else. I am disappointed with my first meal, as there was no solution or compensation offered by the staff. Overall, my experience was not satisfactory.

The location is street parking only and on a high traffic street, so be weary of crossing. There is a crosswalk near the restaurant corner, but be sure to triple check to avoid being run over. The food was amazing. My friend is from Honduras and said this reminds him the most of authentic food from his home country. The Baleadas are a must order. Fresh flour tortilla with refried beans, crema, and cheese. A super simple dish, but amazingly tasty. They do have a few alternate fillings (add eggs, meat), but I'm told the original is best. I also tried the Honduran Enchilada. It's not as you'd expect, since the majority of us are accustomed to Mexican style ones. These are a fried tortilla, topped with their beef/potato/carrot mix, cabbage, red sauce, and tomato - and side of pickled onion. A tasty dish, but a bit rough to eat. Definitely a knife and fork situation. Pupusas.... wow. The masa layer is relatively thin so you can taste the massive amount of filling inside. These are the best pupusas I've had. It's served with red sauce and cortido. Crema is available as an extra side order, if needed (it's not needed). Only 4 fillings are available, but they are made quite nicely. They do take some time to arrive (menu warns approx 20 min), so be aware if you're in a rush. Be sure to order it a bit well done if you like crispy crust (yes!). The restaurant feels like a small family location and service was great. Cash and card are accepted, but if you do card, please bring cash for the tip! The credit card machine doesn't provide an option to add a tip (a rarity in today's tipping war...). The service was outstanding and we were glad to have brought cash for that! Definitely a must visit if you're a fan of Latino food in general. A katracho restaurant is definitely rare to find. It's quite a bit more different than the usual dishes I've had elsewhere.
