Baleadas - the plain ones are the best! Fresh made flour tortillas
    Jeff C.

A hidden gem of Honduran food. As their name suggests, they are truly serving up the flavors of Honduras. The location is street parking only and on a high traffic street, so be weary of crossing. There is a crosswalk near the restaurant corner, but be sure to triple check to avoid being run over. The food was amazing. My friend is from Honduras and said this reminds him the most of authentic food from his home country. The Baleadas are a must order. Fresh flour tortilla with refried beans, crema, and cheese. A super simple dish, but amazingly tasty. They do have a few alternate fillings (add eggs, meat), but I'm told the original is best. I also tried the Honduran Enchilada. It's not as you'd expect, since the majority of us are accustomed to Mexican style ones. These are a fried tortilla, topped with their beef/potato/carrot mix, cabbage, red sauce, and tomato - and side of pickled onion. A tasty dish, but a bit rough to eat. Definitely a knife and fork situation. Pupusas.... wow. The masa layer is relatively thin so you can taste the massive amount of filling inside. These are the best pupusas I've had. It's served with red sauce and cortido. Crema is available as an extra side order, if needed (it's not needed). Only 4 fillings are available, but they are made quite nicely. They do take some time to arrive (menu warns approx 20 min), so be aware if you're in a rush. Be sure to order it a bit well done if you like crispy crust (yes!). The restaurant feels like a small family location and service was great. Cash and card are accepted, but if you do card, please bring cash for the tip! The credit card machine doesn't provide an option to add a tip (a rarity in today's tipping war...). The service was outstanding and we were glad to have brought cash for that! Definitely a must visit if you're a fan of Latino food in general. A katracho restaurant is definitely rare to find. It's quite a bit more different than the usual dishes I've had elsewhere.

So this is how unprofessionally they handle their customers lol. Someone by the name of Dania responded to my text only to confirm that they are so lazy and they do not take their customers past 9pm when the close at 10pm. They probably don't pay enough and that's the reason they give that type of service, so I must say I understand them. Ero en fin la mujer q respondio confirm la clase mediocre de servicio q dan. Aqui solo a Los hombres a tiended con sonrisa, que clase de lugar es este?

    How beautiful is this. Woah

I love it, the food is really good, I recommend this restaurant, the waitress Mirtha she was so nice and sweet thank you for the experience

    Valeada

So I called order to pick up today asked for added avocado on my order and when I got home there was no avocado in none of my four valeadas. I called to ask why was I charged for extra avocado and all I got was that they're out of avocado and that they've "added extra protein" however I was not informed of the exchange made for the avocado during the pick up of my food? This places has horrible customer service!

Food takes a little while but definitely worth the wait! Service is great they check up on you multiple times. Ambiance is calm with both modern and oldies music.

New restaurant that opened about a month ago. It caught my attention because it is from Honduras. There are not many around West Adams. It looks very small from the outside, but it's spacey when you walk in. All of the seatings are booths and I love that. I noticed plenty of baby chairs as well. The restaurant is surrounded by mirrors making it look bigger. The reason I put 4 stars and not 5 was because they have no parking. You have to park on the street and there is hardly any street parking. I had to park about 3 blocks away. It's not bad if you don't mind the walk. The waitress was really nice and handed us the menu. She offered us drinks and than gave us time to look over the menu. They had breakfast, lunch, dinner and appetizers. She came back in about 10 minutes. I asked if I was able to replace something if I didn't like it. She said I can make it anyway I want. The food was ready in about 15 to 20 minutes. It was burning hot and the veggies felt fresh. I ordered a pollo k-tracho also known as pollo con tajadas. It was 10.99 and it was huge. It comes with the leg, but you can change it to thd breast. I almost forgot to mention that they give you chips and salsa while you wait. Love that! Especially when you come and you are starving. The salsas and napkins are on the table. If you need anything you look at her and she comes over. Great customer service. Excellent food.

It left a good impression so I figured I'd go try the real deal out at some point. At the event the shrimp ceviche was served with plantain chips which if you're a central American, it's a nice touch. So for my dad's birthday I figure bring him here since we are central American something he would enjoy. Total bait and switch and it worked because based on what I got at the Yelp event I was expecting the same ingredients and presentation. I'll have images of what I had at the Yelp event vs what we were served. No plantain chips, we got tortilla chip strips, ceviche was more like a pico de gallo salsa with minimal shrimp chopped up so tiny you couldn't even taste it. Not worth the $24 or $25 that I paid for it. Even the ceviche de caracol looked like it had more protein in it than vegetables. Not sure if they're trying to save costs by making it more of a Salsa than ceviche. The waitress was attentive no complaints there and the location is pretty big inside. We were the only table there which I thought was a bit odd but figured maybe we came on an off day. They do have some TVs to watch sports, a small bar area and a little store front where you can buy items to take home. Parking in the area is pretty tough if you are driving since it's street parking. If you're a local walking then you're fine. Would we come back.. nope

It's a place where you can get the most authentic cuisine prepared by chefs who didn't go to any culinary school but instead learned how to prepare food from generations to generations. I've never had Honduran food so when I heard of this food truck which is located just outside the Wilshire/Normandie Station, I made sure to catch them and see what they offer. I had the Deluxe plate consist of ground beef empanada, crispy chicken taco, and a Honduran bean and cheese quesadilla. For a first timer, this plate is a must have as it was served with three different items to try. As expected, it was really good. Prepared from scratch with skillful hands, using fresh ingredients, the plate had all the wow factor you're looking for.

I was in the area…read moreand passed by and there were several other lunch truck most with a decent amount of people. I did struggle to find parking and ended up parking about a block away on one of the side streets and paid metered parking. I stood in line about 3 people deep, ordered a baleada made of beans, cheese, cream, egg and avodado. $6 add a bottled mexican coke, $4 total $10 After i ordered I waited 15 minutes to get what I call a glorified taco/burrito. Over priced for what it is. A large flour tortilla, with a few beans, a little cheese, some cream a scrambled egg and a couple of slices of avocado. One is not filling. I am not knocking the flavor but really....personally I would rather have 3 street tacos or a burrito. Their baleado with chicken was $7 I think maybe $8, but in short, I think we can all find decent burritos for that price. Honestly, I apprecaite food from any country provided it has taste, quality and most of all authenticity of some sort. I get it is hard to make authentic food when you cannot locate the herbs and spices or if they are hard to find or even if most people in this great country of ours do not consume some of the foods eaten in those countries. However, beans and cheese......really? I think the tortilla used was good, nice texture and fluffy, aside from that, it was truly nothing special or different from what I have had in various Salvadorian, Guatemalan or Mexican restaurants for a lesser price and honestly better taste. Again, my opinion. If you are not sheepish about being on a busy intersection and also getting a wiff of what areas where homeless people live, then be my guest, stop and get a baleada or any other dish they sell. I would recommend this place just to try, service was good with a little wait, but overall, they had their regulars and ethnic people stopping by.
