They did my backsplash in my kitchen and did a fantastic job. Great communication. I would definitely recommend them for tiling.

Back in March 2017 I had a new master bathroom installed. The man Brian Eckert of Integrity Tile…read moreand Stone was recommended to us by the contractor. His phone number was a Texas number has he had moved into the Janesville, WI area the previous year, said he had done tile work for many years. We talked to him, seemed like he new what he was doing as he talked about waterproofing and that he preferred to do it himself so he knew it was done correctly, we hired him. Fast forward a year later and we found that he had grouted the area between the tile and the shower pan. It's supposed to be caulked to account for flexion of the pan. The grout was breaking apart and coming out all along the shower pan and we had a crack running vertically up the corner from the shower pan. We stopped using that shower when the grout popped out to avoid getting water damage behind the tile. I call the number, it is disconnected. Use the email address on the business card of ubeawarrior@yahoo.com and he actually responded. Explained what was happening and gave my phone number while asking for his new #, he said he'd fix it. He asked if I had grout, I told him no. I told him that I wanted all the grout along the shower pan removed and to be properly caulked so this wouldn't happen again. At first he tried to blame the contractor, even though we paid him separately and that the caulking should be done by the person doing the tile work. After very slow email communication over the course of two weeks, a missed appointment by him, my giving my phone number again asking him to call so we could have a fast conversation, another potential appointment set up by him that was again missed I got the distinct impression he didn't want to fix his error. After, again, asking him to call me, yet again, I haven't heard from him. Its been 2-1/2 weeks since I initially contacted him, haven't heard a peep from him for a week. We are now doing the fix ourselves. For someone who has supposedly been doing this for years didn't know or didn't care about caulking between a shower pan and tile.

Trever Dutcher is a liar and thief and totally incompetent in epoxy. He left us with an epoxy mess…read more See photos. We had to lay laminate over that epoxy mess that Dutcher did! He kept asking us for more money to buy more epoxy and we gave the money to him. We have proof with all his messages asking for more money and our Zelle payments. He never returned to fix the mess he made of our floor. So, yes, we called the police and took this thief to court. We won the court case because we had documentation and photos. Granted he didn't show to court, which also shows lack of character and still has not paid judgement. We are going to lien assets if judgement isn't paid in 30 days of this post. Read his replies here and the language he uses. Would you want that man working in your home own business!? Lastly, another reason not to hire Trever Dutcher is his recent 2024 mugshot. I ask again....Do you really want this man in your home or business? See his mugshot.

He showed up 2 hours late on the first day, and got the job started. The late start meant he couldn't get as much done the first day as he wanted. We made plans to meet early the next morning to finish the work. He never showed. He has never responded to a dozen attempts to contact him via email, phone, and text. He left the countertop uncut and with the front edge unfinished and several puddles of epoxy on the floor which won't come up. I had to do my best to finish the job, myself. I hope he is okay and nothing bad happened to make it impossible to finish the job. If that isn't the case, I'd say just move on. Not worth paying for a job to be started and left in the middle.

I called Carlos to discuss a deck-restaining project required by my HOA. He was very knowledgeable,…read moreexplained that he had completed many similar projects, and provided a clear quote after I sent him a few pictures of the deck. On his first visit, Carlos thoroughly cleaned and sanded the deck. He also went above and beyond by power-washing underneath it, an area that desperately needed attention. I had not asked him to do that, so I really appreciated the extra effort. When he returned to stain the deck, the finished result looked fantastic. Carlos was prompt, honest, upfront about pricing, and clear about what needed to be done. I am extremely happy that I hired him, and my deck now looks great and meets my HOA's requirements. I cannot recommend Carlos highly enough. He does excellent work and is an even better person.

5/5 - Highly Recommend!…read more I had such a great experience with "His Hands " Handyman Mr Carlos Barbaro and couldn't be happier with the results! He helped me mount a stained-glass window I've been wanting to display and he handled it with so much care and precision. It looks absolutely perfect--secure, level, and beautifully showcased. He also installed two new toilets for me, and the whole process was seamless. He was professional, efficient, and clearly knew exactly what he was doing. Everything was cleaned up afterward, and he made sure I understood how everything work before he left. Reliable, friendly, reasonably priced and skilled--exactly what you want in a handyman. I'll definitely be calling him again for future projects! Highly recommend.

The ~4 day project took 31 days from start to finish. The company and their flooring installer…read moreNathan Albrecht were disrespectful and unreliable by regularly showing up late, on multiple occasions hours late, and majority of the time not even giving notice that they would be late. The first attempt at replacing a stairway ended with stairs differing in height by over 2 inches, causing rework and delay. Flooring materials had to be reordered twice, causing delay. In my opinion I was overcharged for any additional work that was performed. The ~4 day project took 31 days to complete. Not even months post project completion and the project began falling apart. In the first few months post completion I had 6 pieces of new stair nosing become detached from the stairs. Areas where caulk was used are starting to separate so gaps are visible, and there is an area of floor bubbling. Even when the project is complete, the disaster continues. Total Concept & Design's project Nathan Albrecht performed is falling apart just months after completion. Rather than being happy and content with the project, I'm just thinking when is the next stair nose going to fall off? Will someone get injured?

Summary: Soma Tile (Lucas) is a partner through the process and his team is comprised of skilled…read moreand courteous professionals. I would not hesitate in referring them to anyone looking for bath and tile work!! Preface: Let me start this tale with some background. This project was not an exciting "Lets update our 20 year old bathroom and make it stylish and pretty". Instead the project started due to an undetected leak, the stress that comes from random water leaking in random places, and was filled with questions and concerns. Countless others "assured" me that this was a plumbing issue or just due to some neglected maintenance on a 5 year old new-install shower - and then wanted to blast holes everywhere to "find" the leak. At the same time, I did not want to rip apart a shower to then find out it might be plumbing and now a full on repair. I felt overwhelmed in making the wrong choice and doing 2 projects chasing my tail. Lucas walked me through all the typical scenarios that he has seen, leaning on the most probably is a structural fail of the shower system and then did a methodical exploration. A couple hours later and a minimal demo, he confirmed that it was in fact not plumbing related and was def. a failure of the shower system -- and walked me through what it would take. Once his team was onsite, they were focused - creating a whole "clean room" at the entry to the bathroom. 1 day demo, 1 day water-proof, 2 days tile - all while providing the proper time for dry-out and leak testing between steps. Lucas is a perfectionist, being critical on the most minor details -- which to someone that also strives for this level, but has no idea what they are looking for, was very much appreciated. Additionally, he has instilled this value in his team - that are true craftsman with their skill. Each step of the process was walked through, discussed, and made sure we understood the task, goal, and expectations. This is why I say Lucas/Soma Tile was a true partner in this project, as it wasn't a fun project -- it was an overwhelming stressful start where Soma Tile helped take some of the burden and concerns off our shoulders and work it through with their own expertise, experience, and dedication - ensuring every step was executed with precision. Soma Tile knows their craft - Lucas is a partner, his team are craftsman. Huge Thanks to Lucas, Jesus, and Miguel -- not to forget Jose who magically appeared on the last day to leave the place spotless.
