Repeat customer; had lower level family room carpet replaced which included stairs. Liz was great to work with, guys that installed did okay job. My concern was that I had over 12 yards of carpet left over- according to Dave (Manager and person who measured), that was to be expected due to 'repeat design' and stairs couldn't be done any other way to piece together instead of cutting 3 feet of carpet for stairs off a 16 foot roll, leaving me with $400 of excess carpet which he states he could only sell as remnant for $75-100. Additionally, was to be 'free installation' which ended up costing me another $419 due to it being laid on concrete and 'repeat design', as well as separate charge for stairs. I would also recommend requesting and reviewing a written estimate as the original that was sent me. They are way over priced to begin with with, I gave them 100$ Explaination was that 50$ was for measuring and 50 to HOLD. Most places do free measuring but I get it. As it turned out I did not get their carpeting and when I asked for my 50$ back I was told No you dont get that back if you dont go through with the order!!! So I paid them 100$ to come to my house with their lazer! If they need money that bad to rip people off than they dont belong in business. Im so mad. read more

My experience started with a poor explanation of why they charge discount points on their interest free financing. A few years after installation my carpeting started bunching up. They claimed it needs stretching to the tune of $300 minimum and I would have to remove all furniture from the rooms. I have owned 6 homes with new and old carpeting and have never experienced this problem. read more

If could give zero stars, I would. They installed our carpet and laminate flooring last march and since then it's been a nightmare. I wish I had gone with a different company and not thrown away 8 thousand dollars with carpet mill outlet. The nightmare began the day of the install. While installing the carpet, they put holes in my walls and scratched my paint and just left it like that without mentioning it. Then it took months for us to get a simple transfer cover for the floor in our kitchen. After 2 months of having the carpet, we noticed the seams were showing all over the carpet and shortly after that the carpet started separating and coming up from the floor. After 2 months! Then the laminate floor in the kitchen started to separate everywhere. I called and talked to the manager. I had him come out to see for himself because the damage was so bad. He told me I received 2 defective products (carpet and laminate flooring) but purchased the most expensive and reliable flooring and this was a warranty issue and I needed to have someone come out from the manufacturer to check it. He assured me he would take care of everything. Months and months later they finally show up. Assess the damage just to tell me that it was my fault, and they aren't covering either flooring. MY FLOOR FELL APART AFTER 2 MONTHS AND THEY WON'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. I did not do anything to damage my new floor. They just don't want to take responsibility for it. Do not buy from this company! it has been a nightmare dealing with them. No one wants to take responsibility for anything. My warranty is going to end in a few months, and nothing has been done to help me. All they did was take my money and run. They keep telling me they are doing everything they can, but nothing has been done at all. I'm at the point where I'm going to call my attorney and the better business bureau. do not buy from them. read more

Second time in 3 months that I used their company, and for the second time I am very pleased...on time, came in with masks on and never took them off, had the carpet removed and all laid on the same day! And when they left, I was really happy with the job they did to clean it up, hardly any carpet pieces along the base boards...even the driveway must of been swept off from the old existing padding that was crumbling!! I had Carpet Mill Outlet remove all of my old flooring and install LVP flooring, trim and carpeting. They did an excellent job! They were on time every day and very professional. Everyone from the sales people to the installation people communicated well. I can't say enough about how good the flooring and trim looks. We had an amazing experience with Carpet Mill USA in Roscoe, Illinois... they truly worked with us on our budget and the quality of their carpets. The day came for it to be installed, they had wonderful carpet layers that are NOT contracted, they are hired by Carpet Mill and did a great job...we cannot find a seam anywhere and they cleaned up everything! Plus we needed them to move all the furniture and they were so careful and quick, even asked them to switch the furniture to a new room, and they did! We will be using them in the near future for another carpet job....we couldn't be more satisfied and would recommend them very highly! Great job!! read more

The installer was wonderful and the salesman, Brian, was extremely accommodating. He even came out to the house to make sure all was going well! Actually the selection was very good and salespeople knowledgable and the installers were a four star proffesional. Did a fine job. Now why the two star ? Well it's the business end of this. In all my years of hiring people to do work I first get three estimates. Then after I chose I put at least fifty percent down and the rest on completion and my satisfaction of the job done.but this place actually required a partial down payment and of all things demanded the balance BEFORE the installation. They refused to do it any other way. That's bad business practice and since I needed it done I went against my rule. Lucky it went well. I won't go back to them ever. If you pay up front the total cost you risk having no motivation to do the job well or completed. Always withhold final pay until you do a walk thru and all things are to YOUR satisfaction. Everything went as expected. We purchased the carpet... two days later it was installed. The only downside was that there was only one installer... so it took a little extra time. But as for being an ex-business owner myself in the trades.... "That way it is done right". I have zero complaints. I would give more stars if the carpet was better priced or they were willing to work with me a little more. read more
