After choosing, he quoted a reasonable price, and we proceeded; no haggling, no suprises, no oh-by-the-ways. On installation day, Dan and his team replaced all three doors within 2 1/2 hours. Whoa. It was expertly choreographed, with each crew member doing a specific job. They were all super polite, super clean, ... and fast. And as expected they hauled the old crap away and left the place clean. In short: the quality of the doors, the installation, and the final result are superior. We'll use them again for another window replacement this summer. One thing though, the wait for the doors from the factory was a little longer than I expected but I figure that was mostly because of the supply-chain issues, so that's not a zing on them, but rather to point out that you have to factor that wait time into your project/expectations. Last fall, I reported that I felt they weren't working properly. When their service technician came out, I was told that the sashes were a quarter of an inch shorter than they should have been. He ordered new sashes. When they arrived, he installed them in two windows but in the third the latches didn't line up. He told me that he would order new ones and install the latches himself. On January 19th, one of the windows that was replaced in the master bedroom had a seal failure and there was ice in the bedroom, which I let Thebco know about. On May 20th, the service technician brought only one sash with the wrong latches. I called Thebco in early July and received an email apologizing blaming the manufacturer for the delay. I called again on July 17th and haven't received a response. Was Canadian wild fire smoke getting into our bedroom, and did I have increased utility costs with windows that may not be operating at 100%? Is this what you would consider good customer service?

The guys at Exceptional Exteriors said that they had done other window replacements and gave me a reasonable bid. They ran into some technical issues with the pre-drilled and routed holes from the factory but they figured out what to do and got all of the window sashes replaced in two days (in January) with minimal impact to our family (and I work from home). The work these guys did is amazing with no damage to the stiles or jambs. They were neat in their work, cleaned up after everything was done and have checked back in after the fact to make sure we are happy. I highly recommend this team.

I had to reschedule once due to my spouse having Covid, additionally the instillation needed to be rescheduled again due to an inclement snowstorm, and the installers feeling unsafe (which I was fully supportive of, I did not want anyone getting hurt). The problem lies with communication. Our sales rep was supposed to be our "point of contact", however he has been extremely unhelpful, even going as far as reading and choosing to not reply to messages that were sent about the weather on the 2nd installation date; I tried to inform the sales rep it was unsafe for the installers to come due to a recent snow storm, and yet they showed up anyway - which was not their fault, they had not been informed. Additionally we have vaulted ceilings, which would typically not be a problem for instillation, if the proper pictures were taken and sent to the installers. Our sales rep did not take appropriate pictures, and did not send a proper description of the project to the installers, so they were unaware they needed a lift to access the windows. Currently the windows are being installed, and lo-andbehold the installers come without a lift saying they were unaware a lift was needed - which is not their fault, it should have been communicated to them... If you like good windows at a decent price, but don't mind poor communication, this is the company for you. *I will say the customer service over the phone has been great and the installers have been nothing but friendly - but I did have to shampoo the rugs after they left.

I wanted to "save" our older tile as it is very attractive. He worked with me to preserve that tile and make a beautiful bathroom configuration. We have also hired him to do some work at our business as well as more work at home. He will be power washing and staining our deck, putting an egress window in the basement and replacing a sliding patio door and front door. He is very thorough and pays attention to every detail. He has pets himself, so he did not mind our two kitties monitoring his work. I really don't want to leave this review because I don't want to share his time with anyone, but what can you do?
