Unprofessional and left much to be desired. Came in and agreed to a contract based on another…read morecontractor's estimate after taking no more than a cursory glance around at the expected project. Took more than double the time he estimated to complete the project and left it unfinished. He had no more than 3 workers at any given time and the vast majority of the time only had two. Even though we did almost all of the demolition and flooring work ourselves, when he was unable to complete the agreed upon work in the anticipated time he continued to rack up man hours and then demanded the set price be increased multiple times and refused to show up any more when we refused the final time. He would often not show up until nearly afternoon or not show up at all for a day with no notice, including leaving our 1 bath apartment with no shower or tub for 5 days when he didn't complete the project by the weekend as promised and did not show up until Wednesday of the next week. He left with a large amount of unfinished work. Some he contended was not included in the contract and was the responsibility of the homeowner, other issues included failing to texture finished drywall and failing entirely to finish some segments of drywall. Many places were bumpy and uneven. The staining on his cabinetry was uneven because the dark stain required multiple coats that he essentially got tired of applying and the edges and undersides of upper cabinets were totally unfinished. The installation of cabinet doors resulted in cabinets that rubbed together and could not be opened at the same time. The decorative cover placed over the dishwasher door to match cabinets was sloppily glued on and sagging off within a week of application and other false drawers and decorative pieces were poorly attached and soon began to slide and become crooked. Electrical outlets were disconnected to install drywall and never reconnected. Bathroom fixtures including lights, mirrors, towel hooks and other facets were left in the boxes for the owner to install. His kitchen sink installation included a garbage disposal that consistently forced water up the opposite side pipe into the second sink basin. With these many issues, probably the worst problem was that despite his labor being "guaranteed," multiple attempts to contact him to resolve some of the issues left behind were simply ignored: he would not take calls, respond to messages or make any contact in an effort to resolve the issue. I was put in contact…read morewith Michael who told me he had something big he was planning for his daughter, (I think wedding) so I would have to wait several weeks for him to come out. When he finally did he took kitchen measurements, we told him our budget. He informed me it would be a few weeks for an estimate. I waited 3 weeks, no response. I called and left a message, waited another week no response. I called and finally was able to get a hold of him and told he would get the estimate done tomorrow. Well here is is Spring May of 2019 and I am still waiting.-no estimate, no call to say sorry, NOTHING!!. I wish I could rate the quality of their construction but I couldn't even get an estimate. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! Glad I didn't try to get that estimate, because if it takes almost a year for an estimate, how long would the actual remodel take?!?
