10/10 recommend - excellent responsive, solid work, and added bonus of a pleasant personality as well! *Installed 3 ceiling fans for me in record time read more

Jeff was responsive, professional, and quick. He assembled our furniture, hung artwork, and installed curtain rods, all in under two hours. I'll definitely call him again whenever we need a hand! read more

We've never hired anyone to do home repairs, so we weren't sure what to expect, but Jeff is not only our new standard, but the only person I would go to in Wisconsin! I emailed two potential handymen about a simple set of jobs -- we needed the TV mounted, curtain rods hung, shelves put up, a tapestry hung. We had to emergency move and didn't have time to do those tasks ourselves -- it all would have been put off. Jeff responded right away through Yelp and then when I reached out he answered the phone and told me it would be no problem, just tell him when and where to show up. He was on time and basically told us to point at what we wanted and where -- it was amazing. In an hour, Jeff hung up two floating shelves, a tapestry, three long curtain rods and mounted our TV -- it took us 2 hours just to do the TV, so we were over the moon! He is fast, doesn't waste time and he does great work. Multiple times in the past couple of weeks, anytime we even a nail in the wall or tried to fix anything, we were like "we should have called JEFF!" read more

JB home improvements was prompt, communicated well, more than fair, and best of all an excellent person. If you're getting your TV installed elsewhere, your getting ripped off. JB is your guy! I will hire again in a heartbeat! read more

Described job to JB, quoted four hours w/ two people working. They get to our house, work for 45 minutes, then start explaining how they can't do this and can't do that. Wife and I leave for 5 minutes, return, find JB, his helper, and tools gone. Text him and he says he's backing out of the job. What kind of a person leaves a job without telling anybody? It was a Friday and apparently getting something done was a little too much to ask for. read more

Jeff was AMAZING!! I called him and asked if he could mount my TV and hang up 4 large curtain rods for high windows and he came within 2 days (super fast response time) Drilled in my mount and hung my TV up for me (I'm a little picky and couldn't figure out where to put it) he helped me decide the best positioning and even showed me how to operate the swivel mount and set it (I do NOT know anything about TV's) He put up all the curtain rods and was very accommodating!!! Great personality and a pleasure to have in my home! Highly recommend to anyone who needs someone to do some home improvements! Fast worker and GREAT rates! Will definitely be using Jeff again! read more

Jeff came out to mount my TV and I highly recommend his services. He was professional, prompt to respond, reliable, and friendly. Glad to have found someone to help with future home repairs, thanks Jeff! read more

Do not hire this guy. Booked him two weeks in advance and the morning of he is a no show. I waited an hour and called and Jeff claims that the appointment is for an hour after we booked. No big deal, but he would still be late at this point. I wait another hour and a half and call back. Now Jeff claims he doesn't have the tools for the job. Avoid this guy and go with someone who owns a watch. If you don't want or can't do the job don't except the job. Completely unprofessional. I assume his other reviews are friends and family. read more

Jeff was responsive, professional, and FAST. He mounted a TV, put up shelves, installed a pegboard and a vacuum cleaner mount for us in under two hours. I will definitely hire him again when we need help! read more

Quick and thorough. Hung 2 tvs in about an hour. I appreciate you. Thank you for your service!

JB was incredibly responsive, was very active in finding a good time to do work in my schedule, worked quickly and charged me a fair rate. I am recommending him to all of my friends for getting jobs done. read more

Jeff and his team were great from start to finish. Response time was always quick, and they came when they said they would. Price was very reasonable and the work is quality. I will be calling them again if I need something in the future. read more

Jeff was able to help us out with a few jobs in our new apartment. Couldn't have done it without him!

Jeff swapped out our leaky kitchen faucet in record time. On time, professional, solid work and good rate! I'd definitely recommend! If you're not sure if your job fits the "handyman" category, the business card lists: Plumbing (faucets, tubs/showers, water heaters, softeners), electrical (outlets, switches, lights, fans), painting, flooring (tile, vinyl, laminate), power washing, garden tilling, tar driveway, insulate attics and windows... And if it's not on the list, give them a call. read more

NEED A HANDYMAN IN MADISON? Yeah - I sure did. Handyman is one thing I'm NOT. My wife said to try Angie's List - so I did and tracked down Jeff at "JB's Home Improvements" - I had a list of little projects to get get done and I had Jeff drop in to give me an estimate - on replacing dimmer switches, hanging art up high in my hall, fixing a hole in my wall and a few other minor irritants. He and his helper John came right on time and did everything in about a hour that I would have taken six months to figureout and screw up -- and now I'll have a few more things for him. So I'm just passing along this sincere recommendation - he says "specializing in the "Smaller Projects" -- and he does them well, quickly and at a very fair price. And he has a reall tall ladder I'd never climb! PH: (608) 217-7890 read more

No job is too complex or too simple! Jeff hung a floating TV shelf for me in no time and didn't judge my sad attempt at doing it myself. He was available outside of typical hours and was super flexible which was really convenient. He was prompt and personable. Will definitely call again for other household jobs! read more

Jeff was available when we needed him, was on time and did a great job on hanging a heavy cabinet. Very reasonably priced, courteous and helpful. Couldn't ask for more read more

I wish I could give a positive review, but unfortunately I cannot. He did answer my initial inquiry right away and he came to the house to see the job. We spoke on the phone, set a date to begin the work, and were all set. He arrived to the house on the agreed upon date. And then he texted me to say he was pulling out of the job. Mind you, he had seen the job in person before, knew what it entailed, and seemed excited to help. We said no to other handymen and contractors because we had arranged everything through Jb's Home Improvements. I tried calling him on the phone to speak with him about the situation, but he did not answer and has not returned my message. (We manage the house from CA, so couldn't speak with him in person.) Unfortunately this looks like a pattern. Cannot recommend. read more

Reasonable, personable, and empowering; Jeff was willing to come in and help me to think through what I actually needed done by him versus doing myself. There are things in my house I will not touch, so I am glad to have someone like Jeff to come by and help me out. read more

I needed a repair done ASAP, and JB was able to do it within hours. The work was solid, fast, and very reasonably priced. He's on my speed dial now. Seriously, hire this guy. read more

Needed lots of odds and ends to be done, such as ceiling fan replacement to broken shower door. I was so pleased and surprised by the knowledge and professional manner in which things were done. Price was very reasonable. I expected to pay 5 times more. I will have them back for any other work and this time not wait for a couple of years to get it done. Am so glad I found them on Yelp! read more

Used Jeff for replacing drywall in our garage that leaked last year, did a really good job but actually getting him here for the appointment was a chore. He never showed or even called after he missed the original appointment for the estimate. Claims he left a note on our door but never did. We did like the work he did so called him up last week for water damaged drywall in our home and again he did not show up or even call for the appt on Monday. My husband called him the next day and he used the same lame excuse that he left a note on our door but never did as my husband was home several hours prior to the appt and after. Who the hell drives all the way out to leave a note on a door instead of calling? So my husband still rescheduled the appointment for this morning and SHOCKER he is a no show again and calls go right to voicemail. It's called professionalism Jeff, you apparently have none. If you don't want or need the work then don't make an appointment! read more
