As my dog and I walked the neighborhood around N. Sherman Ave., I see lots of driveways that I admire. I saw the work that Matt and The Concrete Company provided for home owners and I knew if I should need a new driveway that this is the company I would contact first! The time came and I hired The Concrete Company to install a concrete driveway replacing my old asphalt driveway. I can honestly say that the work, the employees, and the efficiency and professionalism of this great company was above top notch! I can't remember when I met such a great crew and wonderful people to work with. This was above and beyond anything I could have hoped for! Each employee exemplified excellence in doing a really great job and answering any questions I had, I am extremely satisfied with the whole project. Excellent work and design... original driveway was very rectangular but in avoiding our shrubbery they designed lovely curves and now the entry to our home is much more inviting. Robin likes it so much that she's sweeping it every two days, and I love the improved water drainage. It's been a pleasure to meet the crew..all good fellows! Highly recommended! Thanks read more

We had our driveway replaced in Aug 2017. Now 18 mos later there are a number of dings and small chunks of concrete (leaving gouges) coming off. Disappointed. read more

We had our driveway redone by The Concrete Company in May of 2017. I waited to write the review until the project was completed and we had our new driveway through the end of 2017. Matt Young was absolutely great to work with. Very knowledgeable, friendly and sincere. He went through the process, thoroughly explaining what he would do to replace our driveway from upgrading the foundation to how he would do the stamping. Everything turned out perfectly and we could not be happier with the result. After 9 months the driveway looks as good today as it did the day it was completed. There has been no settling, cracking or fading of the stamping. I would recommend Matt's company to anyone. Although he was not the cheapest, I'm a firm believer you get what you pay if you do your research. We got what we paid for and are very satisfied with the result. Guenther R Madison, WI read more

This spring has been a difficult time for Matt and crew. The rain has caused many unavoidable scheduling problems. Through it all Matt has kept us informed of when our driveway replacement would be done. I even had to change the date for our job when it neared our turn. When Josh arrived on the designated day the long awaited delay was over. There was a flurry of activity with very professional crew members all doing their designated jobs. The crew did an outstanding job of cleaning up after the driveway was poured. The result is a wonderful new driveway. The wait was well worth it!!! Thanks Matt Mary & O. L. Bell BTW: Previously, when I asked Matt about replacing our garage floor he recommended I try a Mud Raising company before spending the money for replacement. I did, it worked, and saved me a pocket full of money! I would heartily recommend Matt and the Concrete Company for any concrete work!! read more

The concrete company came highly recommended by the person who took care of our trees after Ryan landscaping took down the trees. Matt and his team did a fantastic job. Even with the rainy season I feel they were done in a timely manner. His staff was courteous and friendly and everyone was professional. We felt he was reasonably priced and would highly recommend this company. read more

The concrete company replaced our cracked patio and did an outstanding job. We had several bids for brick pavers and stamped concrete and they were very competitive and professional. Matt was great with follow up, and though we had to wait our turn feel we got the very best service and attention possible. Matt is great to work with and it is always preferable to work with a local contractor who is vested in having happy customers. I highly recommend The Concrete Co. read more

I have been a homeowner for nearly 20 years. In that time I have worked roofers, plumbers, painters, hangers and mudders, but I've never had quite as positive as I' had this summer with Matt at The Concrete Company. Matt has exceeded my expectations with customer service, quality and attitude. I am a selling professional who sets a very high bar on customer service and I can say emphatically Matt exceeded my expectations every step of the way. If contractors can do one thing to really aggravate me, it is to make me guess when they might show up next. Matt has solved this most fundamental requirement and delivered EVERYTIME he said he would deliver. Visually his work is beautiful. I am no expert on concrete stamping by my neighbor is a commercial construction project manager and he lauded Matt's work every step of the way, from the compacting of the gravel to the final texture and tinting, all of the work is top notch. Finally is Matt's attitude. He is just a friendly guy who takes GREAT pleasure in doing world class work. His crew seems to feed off Matt's nature and great attitude. I can't say enough good things about the experience I've had with Matt and The Concrete Company, and I'd certainly recommend him to a friend, neighbor or family member. Thanks Matt!! read more

I did not use this company's service, however a neighbor did. They began pouring concrete at 6:25am - which is too early. The cement truck woke me and my 16 month old child up. When I confronted them the owner knew they couldn't start before 7am but told me to call the police and have them give him a ticket anyway. That is not a respectable way to present yourself to your customer's neighbors, or to anyone, when you are clearly in the wrong and you know it. That reflects on character. read more

Matt and his great crew (John, Josh, Jason, Hugh and Matt the owner) Just finished our driveway and patio. I could not be more satisfied with their careful and artful work! I also appreciated that the boss (Matt) also worked on the project. They all kept my wife and I informed about their work which we appreciated. They were always respectful and kept their distance during this Covid-19 time. In addition, on garbage day with their trucks blocking our drive, they kept an eye out for the pick-up and moved them to the street to be sure they were picked up. When empty one of the guys returned them to their place at the side of the house. Wow! I will miss their diligence. Also, the price was right and Matt gave every discount he could. He was also not intimidated by my many thoughts (Google University) and took all seriously and responded in a knowledgeable way. To watch them work was a treat. They all worked like this was their house. The result, a beautiful new drive with landscaping complete! My wife and I could not be more grateful. Thank you Matt and your great crew!! We love our new driveway! Matt and his crew did an incredible job replacing our long, uphill slope with beautiful, smooth concrete. They were a pleasure to work with, and I would recommend them to anyone! read more

I had a wonderful experience with getting a new driveway from Matt and all of his employees. First of all, we got three bids from concrete companies; and Matt's was the easiest to read and had the most complete description of the work to be done. His price was also competitive! The large amount of rain this summer delayed our driveway project a few weeks, but Matt's project calendar was always kept up to date, and he showed up exactly when promised! When he arrived, he and his crew were nothing but professional and friendly. Matt went out of his way to make sure he understand exactly what we wanted from the project and explained options that would make it even better. The whole time they were at my house they did an exceptional job making sure everything looked great and cleaned up after each day's work. My driveway and sidewalk now looks amazing. I cannot say enough good things about this company! read more

My experience with Matt and his crew at the Concrete Company was outstanding. He recently completed a new driveway for us. I find that many contractors I've worked with in the past really lack communication skills - they don't respond to questions/calls, you never know when they're going to show up, etc... This was not the case with Matt. He responded promptly to my request for a bid and was quick to answer many questions I had along the way. He personally stopped by my house several times to meet with me and our carpenter to problem solve an issue with a door threshold. The project itself was tricky, in fact, another concrete company turned it down because they felt they couldn't properly keep water away from the foundation of the house. Matt was open and straight forward with me the whole time, assuring me he'd find a way to make it work. The end result is both aesthetically pleasing and functional - the jewel of the neighborhood! Finally, I needed some help installing some pavers for a small retaining wall on the side of my new driveway and what a landscaping company quoted me was more than I could afford. Matt's crew got it done quickly and for a very reasonable fee. Couldn't be more pleased! read more
