The restaurant has an English Pub feel to it and is decorated as such. Many seating options both inside and out gets you to a table quickly. We were pleasantly surprised when our meals arrived as they are delicious and the portions are quite big. Service was friendly and quick as well!

Definitely not medium prime rib with mashed potatoes, spinach and ?
Amanda M.

Pretty good experience. Ordered the prime rib in medium and got it barely medium rare, but it was flavored well and I didn't want to wait for a redo. They were out of baked potatoes. The mashed potatoes were good even with surprise vegetables. The meatloaf was very well-cooked and the sticky toffee pudding was outstanding.

Fish.

I ordered the large size fish and chips through DoorDash. Unfortunately, the order came without the fries. It had the ketchup for the fries, but no fries. Very disappointing. I've emailed the moot house for a refund. The fish was good. I got a lightning fast response from the assistant manager who will be refunding my order. Thank you so much and I will definitely try the fish and chips again.

We hosted our softball team dinner at the Moot House for 50 guests. Kevin and staff were incredibly attentive, accommodating, and overall perfect. Mitch provided different price packages and a banquet room for privacy. All entrees offered were delicious. Thank you for providing a space for a memorable night. Highly recommend! My friend got bahn mi with chicken and buffalo chicken combo and tater eclairs. Her husband got southern chicken and bahn mi chicken combo with cheese curds. We also got the tater eclairs on the side with the brown sugar bacon aioli. Wow. I got the adult lemonade, my friend got the Ricky and her husband got the bourbon drink. The back patio area was nice. 2.5, edging down to 2 stars…read more Not the best food experience I've ever had. They're rated really high -- actually one of the highest-rated restaurants in Fort Collins -- and from a food perspective I don't really understand why. Sliders with sweet potato fries -- fine, nothing extraordinary. Potato éclairs -- . It was really just mashed potatoes with some topping on it. I honestly didn't even finish it. Mountain oysters -- huge letdown. They came out so overcooked they were basically crunchier than potato chips, with the batter crumbling off. I've never had them before, so I didn't get a good representation of how they're supposed to be -- these were just super-cooked batter. On the space: we ended up sitting in three different spots to eat. We went outside by the street first -- super loud, and people were smoking, so we headed back in. The open spot inside was right under the AC and about forty degrees, so we moved to the back area. The back was fine -- covered -- but pretty dirty, with mop buckets and clutter sitting around. The one drink I had was a good value since we were there at happy hour -- some kind of fruity whiskey drink. It was fine, but nothing I'd seek out again. I hate to give such a friendly place a bad review. It'd be a really great spot if you're a college student who wants some cheap bites and a drink -- but honestly it's just bar food, and the ceiling is probably a 4 on a really good day. I wouldn't get excited to head down there, and parking is a bit of a hassle too. Would recommend only if you're after very cheap eats in that area -- check them out for happy hour. But I would not return.

A little preparation on our end helped ensure everything went smoothly. Since The Regional is a farm-to-table restaurant, many items need to be prepared or prepped in advance, so I was grateful to collect everyone's orders earlier in the day. That gave the kitchen time to prepare and made it easier to get everything cooking once we arrived. We were seated off to the side of the bar in a small private area. The restaurant was busy, but not overwhelmingly so. Once we were settled, our server came over, introduced himself, and took our drink and food orders, making sure to associate each dish with the correct diner. After everything was entered, our drinks and food arrived surprisingly quickly. All of the food and drinks were good, but the service was even better. A big thank-you to the manager and our server for accommodating our team and helping make such a large dinner feel seamless.

Our server was Lillian who is not only pleasant but well versed in the menu - offering suggestions and explanation on dishes or pairings. The atmosphere is homey with vintage style chairs, and the tables are set close but the room doesn't feel cramped We loved the Regional salad and the lamb merguez meatballs. As my main dish, I ordered the Halibut ceviche which is prepared with avocado, a detail that I overlooked and unfortunately I'm allergic to avocados. When the dish was placed in front of me, I was surprised and quickly signaled Lillian. She was concerned that I may have tasted the dish and offered medical attention (Benadryl) and promptly removed the dish. She encouraged me to order another main dish, but I opted for another lamb merguez meatballs which is served with warm bread. At the end of dinner, I was surprised that the halibut ceviche was taken off my bill - unexpected but appreciative gesture. 5 Stars - Hallmark of customer service at the Regional!

When we arrived at the complex and pulled into the massive parking lot area, there were about 5 or 6 children riding their bicycles in the lot by the ice cream shop and Farmhouse restaurant. I don't know if they lived in the area or what but it was odd and so we had to park kind of instead of right by the restaurant to avoid hitting them. When two of us walked in, we got there 15 minutes early and were hoping to enjoy a cocktail at the bar before being seated at the table. The bar only has 4 seats and it was full. The host responded, "the cocktail will taste the same at your table as it would at the bar", which came off as kind of arrogant and dismissive. Anyway, we were seated right away upstairs as our table was ready ahead of time. Our table included a bench seat against a brick wall with a few small pillows and 5 chairs. The seating against the wall was quite uncomfortable. When our entire party arrived and we ordered cocktails, appetizers, entrees, and dessert. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. I'm giving 3-stars for food because it was hit or miss. Half our group liked their meal and the other half did not. We all agreed the best thing we had from the menu was the tiramisu dessert and I really enjoyed the small garden salad, which was actually a generous portion and I liked the radish included! I also want to say thank you to our waitress for not kicking us out when the restaurant closed, she let us enjoy our time together without making us feel rushed.

We started with a beer for my husband and a mocktail for me. The mocktail (blueberry lemonade) was simply not worth the $7 price tag. Mostly ice - filled to the literal rim of the glass. So full when I took one of my first sips, ice fell to the floor. There was just a splash of ginger beer; it could've used more but, alas, no room with all that ice! When I mentioned it to the server, she explained that's how they make them. She offered to bring me another, but it seemed clear she meant I'd be paying for it. No thank you. Next, my food. I tried the salmon burger (new to the menu, I'm told) which is actually a salmon croquette on a bun with some lettuce and vinaigrette. It's HUGE and not in a good way. The first few bites were okay, and I thought the heavily breaded effect was due to biting into the edge. As I continued eating, though, most bites felt like a mouthful of bread. I can only hope there was minced salmon in it, but the ratio was so heavy on breadcrumbs that I couldn't detect it. Not the slightest hint of pink on the inside either. I ate about 1/2, my hungry hub finished it. The flaws of the salmon burger didn't seem worth pointing out to the server after the response I got with the drink. Later, as we walked around downtown, I felt like I had a lead sandwich in my stomach. My husband had a better experience than I. His bison burger came out great. No complaints. Unfortunately for me, I think I'll just have to order very specific things when coming here now. Austin's has sentimental value for me - it's the first place we dined after moving here 27 years ago. Because of that, I keep giving them second chances after they fall short. I just wish they'd return to the days of "you can't go wrong", everything is awesome.
