We had a nice time here last night after traveling all day. Service was great, Trey was very attentive. Since it was Friday we both ordered the fish dinner special and it was very good. We also ordered the clam chowder and it was surprisingly good & flavorful. My husband had key lime pie for dessert. He loved it. I took a bite and the only thing I didn't like was that it was obviously cool whip on top, but it's a commercial dessert. All in all it was a good evening. The restaurant wasn't busy. We were staying in this Holiday Inn while traveling through the area, and I'm glad we decided to hang in the hotel. Moose River was good. I've stayed at some hotels with truly awful restaurants, so I'm glad this one was good. read more

We went to dinner at Moose River because it was included with out hotel stay. We had the mozzarella trunkers, which were homemade with natural ingredients, never frozen before. They were delightful and came with pub chips. There were also buttered rolls, which were fantastic. I had salmon, which was cooked perfectly and came with two sides, which were generously portioned. My girlfriend had a Caesar salad. The plate was large and satisfied her appetite. For dessert, fruit cup was an option. We chose that, and agreed that more places should have a healthy dessert option. The bill was less than $40, which is great for two entrees, an appetizer and three sides. This was my second time eating here. Service is normally great and this time was no different. I was staying at the hotel and came for breakfast. It was very fulfilling. Don't order the pancakes unless ur hungry. They were huge. The breakfast buffet was ok but good service kinda fixes everything. read more

It's a hotel restaurant at the holiday inn. So many better choices unless you are already in the hotel and are being lazy. You won't find anything unique here, though they do have the ability to improvise their meals. Expect the occassional ceaser salad with iceberg, or the wrong cut of steak. I mean, I don't need to write a review based on the other experiences on here but I will because I think it's a little more than 1 star. Aside from being literally "vacuumed out" of the restaurant/bar at night before closing or sitting in a dark restaurant first thing in the morning, I don't think it was terrible....it's just not a place I would choose to go back to if given the choice. We hit up the bar on a Friday night and looked at the bar menu...just fried, unhealthy things and dessert...I opted for a cheap house salad - nothing special but it was plenty and just what I wanted. It's basic...small..not thrills but fine for me. The bartender was extremely slow and carded literally everyone! There's 5 people at the bar all over 28 years old...ugh. Since we were staying at the Holiday Inn, we came for breakfast two mornings. The first morning we had come right after a group of 15 or so which backed up our meals - that shouldn't have happened. With a wedding, sports team AND special event staying at the hotel, I would think they would put more staff on. But we weren't in a hurry. Breakfast prices are pretty high which I don't think is necessary. $8 for eggs and toast...and maybe a slab of bacon. Not to mention, there's FREE coffee and tea in the hotel lobby...but here a cup of coffee or juice is $1.95-$2.25!! Seriously, coffee almost ALWAYS comes free with breakfast and juice sometimes. But when I can get a free cup in the lobby 50 feet away, WHY would I pay over $2 for one??? Anyway, there were no lights on in the morning, the light came strictly from the large windows so if you sit on the inner part of the room it's quite dark. Back to the food, fruit plate and cottage cheese (which they now substitute with a scoop of yogurt) $8. The fruit was not fresh, it was dry and pretty unappealing with mushy grapes and the yogurt just got emptied from a "fruit at the bottom" container. However, I had the Burrito - no bacon, potatoes in the side instead of inside and it was actually really good, and the potatoes were like french fries...I enjoyed this so much I had it two days in a row. Not a fan...but it IS a place to eat since there's not much around the area. read more

The food was basic. However my humus tasted "off" but the waiter never return to see how the food was so I never was able to choose something else. Was disappointed with that service! My husband had to find the waiter to get the check. I think he may have been the only waiter there! read more

Went there for dinner with a few friends and it was awful. First off we had a server named Lindsay who i believe was drunk. She smelled strongly of alcohol and looked very sloppy. She also told all the guys at the table that she would like to go have drinks with us when she got off work. Now when are food finally arrived after along wait some of it was cold and some of the order was just wrong. I am completely shocked with the service there and while never go there again and i will also tell every one i know about this awful experience. read more

My family and I have gone there to eat for their Easter and Mother's day Dinner Buffets. The food was delicious and a wide variety. The Turkey and roast beef was cooked to my liking. All the side dishes, salads, and desserts were fresh and delicious. I haven't eaten at their sit down restaurant but will return for their buffets. Well worth the money read more

Very disappointing! Salad was the bagged type, poured into a bowl with one cherry tomato and and one ring of onion. Additionally, the lettuce was old and wilted. Hamburgers were tasteless, and the greens were very soggy and tasted like old left-overs. Service took forever. Definitely not going back. read more
