Avoid This Contractor - Untrustworthy and poor workmanship- doesn't finish work after payment!!!!!!…read more I strongly caution anyone considering working with Frank(owner of the company)My experience with him has been deeply disappointing and costly. Initially, he seemed professional--responsive and quick to begin demolition and early stages of construction. However, once I made the second payment, everything changed. I signed a contract for a $70,000 project and paid him $36,000. After completing only about 10% of the work, he abruptly abandoned the job. He blamed delays on permitting issues, but I checked with the county and in reality, he failed to pay the architect and did not properly follow up with the county. Despite my repeated attempts to work with him--even offering to shift the funds to a different project--he remained unresponsive. One of the key reasons I hired Frank was because he claimed to be a licensed contractor. Yet, he never provided his MHIC license number or proof of insurance. I had to contact the state myself to verify his license and ultimately file a formal complaint with the Maryland Home Improvement Commission (MHIC). He left us with unfinished and poorly executed work--flooring, siding, and roofing were all incomplete or substandard. Please protect yourself, your home, and your finances. I'm willing to share documentation or further details with anyone who is considering hiring him. I'm posting this in hopes of preventing others from going through the same experience. Working with this group was very aggravating. They were slow to respond and did not complete the work in a timely manner. I had to call multiple times to get them to return and continue work. At the time I had a broken foot and had to navigate through the mess. They finally completed the work on October 19th, 2024. The original person who booked the work was unreachable for most of the time and someone who claimed to be his brother was extremely rude with each contact. One year later, the sidewalk is cracking. I have left a message for them and am waiting for a return call. Based on the reviews and their past track record wonder if I'll hear from them?

From booking the appointment with the office staff (love Monica) to the consultation meeting with Michael and Bill. They helped us create a vision for the entire exterior landscape of our home. Here's the best part - though the entire plan was reasonably priced - it was still outside of our budget to tackle front, side and back yard all at one time (we have nearly 2 acres of space to be landscaped) - The Sharper Cut worked with us to create a phase in approach that will allow us to do a little each year and not be overwhelmed by trying to tackle everything all at once. So, we started small and worked with Michael, Andy and Justin (all fabulous - emails and phone calls are returned quickly and by quickly I mean usually with in the same hour - and Andy is super attentive!). Our first project was a "monument" type structure for our house numbers. I had a vision in my head and they were very patient with me as I attempted to transfer my vision into something they could understand and execute. I could not be happier with the finished product. Everyone we have encountered at this business from the field workers to the landscape designers, project managers and the owners have all been accessible, responsive, professional, and just plain fun to work with. This is a small local company; the owners are two brothers and they take extreme pride in their work and have a very competent staff. We are now working with them to update the beds that boarder the house. I didn't want mulch so we are using a beautiful blue stone to match that in the monument. If you want quality, attention to detail, and a beautiful finished product I recommend these guys!

I contracted them to put a stone façade on my house and a slate front porch and they showed up on time every morning and they worked together to get the job done and absolutely turned out beautifully. I have never seen a crew so passionate about what they were doing that they were careful to make sure that everything was done absolutely perfectly. They carefully shaped and honed each piece of stone. You'll see in the photos how beautiful it turned out. The owner Tony even went to a quarry in Marriottsville Maryland to find the particular stone that I liked. We used real stone, not the fake stuff. Once the façade was completed, they did a beautiful job on the patio in slate match the colors spectacularly my neighbors from all around came to watch and marvel at the finish product. I couldn't be happier and price they charge me was more than fair. I also had their indoor crew build some custom shelves for me in multiple closets and finish out some trim work and a new kitchen that I had put in. This is a meticulous team like I've never seen before. They did such a fantastic job and I sent them to my mothers to redo her sidewalk entrance to her home in Annapolis.
