What a great guy! I called Mike & he came out to give me estimate on my windows that needed to be replaced. He noticed that my windows had an install date on them and told me they would be covered under another company's warrantee, And that I could get them replaced for free. One of the insulated gas glass panels in my sliding door had leaked out resulting in reddish fog like staining. Unfortunately, it was past warranty so I had to get a new one. Mike came in with the best price, got someone out to measure despite his being sick and got the order and install turned out around quickly. He and his team did great and careful work during the install. They were very protective and careful with the doors, cleaned the glass to a shine and vacuumed up any debris inside and outside the door. The digital invoice made the bill a snap to settle and the lifetime warranty gives me confidence in the product. I hope I don't have more window/glass trouble but if I do, I'll be calling Mike. It's hard nowadays to find contractors who are looking out for their client's best interests and not out to make a quick buck. Moore Replacements is one of those contractors who look out for their clients. When they came over to give an estimate on a leaky window and a double pane window where the material melted in between the glass. He was really honest, he mentioned that the double pane Window issue was just cosmetic and doesn't need to be replaced. As for the leaky windows, it turns out the previous owner tighten the window lock way too tight, causing a gap where the rainwater was seeping in. Moore Replacements actually helped me fix the leaky window and didn't charge me any money. I felt so bad that he drove out in the rain to help me, so I gave him a small tip. As a homeowner, I have replaced rollers on patio doors before...easy peasy, not this time! I was unable to remove the sliding door myself to replace the rollers. I had a dog door installed in my glass patio sliding door. Mike was very knowledgeable and came within a few days of my inquiry to measure the door. He noted the size and height of my dog, and recommended a medium size and installed it a few inches higher, so that she could fit through comfortably, without me having to pay more for a larger door. The installation itself went surprisingly quick. They were very clean and took great care in removing the old glass and installing the new one so that nothing was damaged. When they left, you couldn't even tell that they had been there. The door is nice quality. It has a magnetic edge on the flap to make sure it has a good seal when it closes. I had them replace the dual paned glass in an exterior door and adjacent window in the same bedroom with a low e alternative dual paned glass. I had a 730am appt, and the crew of two arrived at around 8am. They were very polite and knowledgeable. All of my questions were answered and they also offered helpful advice as well. Horrible customer service and Mike the contractor was unprofessional and poor communication. When Mike came over to remove the damaged glass. Mile was enraged when I simply asked about glass replacement process, procedures, time to completion, cost, and warranty to determine if company is reputable. Mike told me that the glass installed had 15 year warranty but it was not listed on the company invoice they sent me via email. The quality of the work was poor. Lots of broken glass left behind even after I told them to clean it up. They left behind black gunk through out the perimeter after scraping off the glass spacer. I originally called Moore Replacements back a few months to fix a slider door that need to be refurbished since the wheels were shot and was difficult to open and close. Freddie came out and had the door working like new. Fast forward about 2 months later and the door slips off the rail and completely freezes up. I called Moore Replacements and Freddie answered the phone and I gave him a run down on the problem. He immediately became defensive and passing blame. He stated that the door is of poor design and that we were probably mishandling it. First, that's a pretty bold statement to make, then second he goes on to say that if they come back out they were going to charge us for another visit. WTF!? I this point I was becoming livid, and the owner Mike got on the phone. He pretty much echoed what Freddie said, but offered to come out and look at the door himself. He said it could be no later than 7:30am because he did not want to get stuck in traffic. Agreed. On the day of the appointment, instead of Mike showing up, it's Freddie. I saw him parked in front of our house and I went out to go get him. He gets out and no "Hello" or "Good Morning", it's "I was just about to leave." Nice. Now we just set ourselves up for a tense and confrontational interaction. (He stated that his paperwork stated a 7:00am appointment, it was 7:15am). He obviously was not happy to be here, and his attitude reflected that. He again stated that the door was of poor design and that a wireless alarm sensor was causing the rear wheel to jump of the track. He then offered up a modification and I suggested tightening up the wheel a bit. Great, let's see if this corrects the problem. Was that so difficult? He does the repair and leaves with little said. All I asked here was for them to troubleshoot and fix the problem we were having with the door since it was now functioning worse than it did prior to the repair. The attitude was unnecessary and it poorly reflects this company as a whole. read more
