I've been taking my 1999 Honda Accord sedan here for service since I bought it back in 1999 - instead of the Honda Dealership. Word of mouth for this place - along with high ratings from Washington Consumers Checkbook led me to try them. http://www.checkbook.org/sitemap/Washington_DC/Ratings_And_Articles/Auto_Repair_Shops/detail.cfm?firmCode1=3523535 They provide high quality, timely, and cost effective service - a better deal all around than the Honda dealership - and all of their work is better quality than the dealership. I think they only work on imports - check ahead to see if they service your make and model of vehicle. I has to check the car in the shop again yesterday - needed an oil change, a new battery, and I wanted them to give the car the once over to insure it would pass both the VA State Safety and Emissions inspections - and then get it inspected for me. I also wanted them to eyeball the car and check for oil leaks - seems like it is going through oil very fast - and I've been unable to find any leaks, nor detect and oil burning. I dropped the vehicle off yesterday about 1:00 pm. It was ready 24.5 hours later. I picked up the vehicle today at 1:30 pm - paid a very reasonable bill - and proceeded to head off to the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles to renew my auto registration. The place is not much to look at compared to modern auto dealerships - but I don't care about that when I go to Moore - I know they know what the hell they are doing - and they won't manufacture a bunch of bogus repairs that I don't need!

After a local shop had mangled my buddies brand new wheels mounting tires on to them, I needed someone local I could trust to mount and balance my new wheels and tires I had just purchased. I gave Moore Automotive a call after my brother had told me the great experience he had with them and the work they did on his Camaro. I spoke to Bill over the phone and scheduled an appointment. He assured me that him and his team could mount and balance my wheels/tires without scratching them. I came in to drop the wheels and tires off and had the opportunity to meet Bill. I can't begin to express how professional and respectful Bill was. A standup guy and gentleman. I felt at ease leaving my $6,000 wheels/tires with him. Later that day I received a call that the wheels were done! I stopped by the shop and just as Bill promised, the wheels were perfect! No damage and no scratches! I'm so happy I found Moore Automotive. His employees are friendly and professional. They are master at what they do and their service and work illustrates this. Thank you Moore Automotive!!!

The guys at Moore are awesome. 5 star service. I went in for a dyno tune and I got there 30mins before shop opened. I changed my injectors in front and the even came out to lend a helping hand! Once inside the tuned my car until they got to a power level they were ok with for the day. Even though afterwards shared with me some things that was causing my car for not making the power they expected! Will definitely be going back for everything I need! Highly recommended service professionals that are all certified and I house fabrications.

I was referred to this shop by my friend. Once I picked up my Evo 9, John was very helpful in doing an examination on the car and informing me what issues needed to be addressed. Aside from oil changes and tire rotations, Moore has completed work ranging from alignments to rebuilding the clutch. Recently, I had them upgrade the cams, injectors, fuel pump and supporting mods for E85. Chris is a great tuner and I am currently running dual map 93 / E85 and happy with the performance of the car. Any time you modify a car, there are risks and a great tuner is essential. The guys at Moore have been helpful, no matter what the problem. Highly recommended.

To make matters worse all four of these tires are basically new and less than 30 days old! Anyway, this whole thing was driving me nuts, so I started shopping around for a place. I remembered this local place that allowed you to drive up for on-the-spot repair and they work on your tire(s) while you wait in your car, so I decided to give them a try and I'm really glad I did. When I arrived there were a couple of cars ahead of me, which wasn't a big deal since this place is similar to a drive-thru you allowing you to conveniently wait your turn in your car. They work pretty quickly here and before I knew it I'm pulling forward to get my tire looked at. The mechanic was friendly, respectful, and took the time to listen to what was going on with my tire. He quickly got the tire off, diagnosed the problem, and explained what needed to be done in plain language. The problem was with the valve stem, which had a leak. The mechanic got right to work making the repair and explaining to me what he was doing. The work was done efficiently and correctly, and he made sure everything was explained to my satisfaction. There was no pressure, no upselling, and no runaround; just honest work and solid service. Oh, and the cost of this repair was less than 25 bucks! I couldn't believe I received this much service and such great work at this price point. What makes this place stand out to me is the customer service from all of the staff, but in particular the mechanics themselves that are actually working on your car. Usually, the people working on your car are hidden in a garage somewhere while you wait in a waiting room, so you never actually meet the mechanic working on your car. At Mac's you are up close and personal to the mechanic. That's a huge plus in my book. You can tell this is a local business that actually cares about its reputation and all of the customers coming there. It's the kind of shop where they remember you, talk to you with respect, and make sure you leave satisfied. If you're tired of chain shops and want to support a local business that does quality work and treats customers right, this is the place to go. They earned my trust, and I'll definitely be back for future tire and service needs. Highly recommended!

I am including a brief description of the condition of the vehicle when I arrived at Radial Tire Monday (2/16/26) at 2:00pm. The receiving manager and I discussed the tire issues and history. I told him I had a service light in the dash that was saying a tire was low on air and they were new tires (vs the previous service light for sensors not functioning). He measured the tire pressure of all the tires and they were all at different psi (33, 34, 42 and 18). My vehicle was placed in a service line and I waited in a lobby for approximately an hour. Radial tires took the low tire off the vehicle and tested it for leaks and determined the problem was that a valve stem hadn't been correctly sealed, the tires were all fine. Before leaving the work bay, I noticed the sensor light was still on, so a retest determined the driver's front sensor was going bad and it was replaced. The service manager told me Toyota and Lexus have challenging tire sensors, that they can often get one sensor working and the computer will then say another good sensor stopped working. I left Radial Tire around 4:30, problems solved and paid for one new sensor and install. I've had several people tell me Radial Tire is the BEST in this area and they will have all of my business in the future and that of anyone I know. Thank you for resolving what was a time consuming, frustrating experience!! I'm so glad my friend recommended you!!

Great, kind, quick service with a dangerous and crucial mistake…read more I'll break this review into two parts. The first part will be about my experience getting serviced by Clarendon Tire, and the second part will be about what resulted. Service experience itself was great. I had noticed a slow leak in my top left tire this past week. At first, I thought it could wait for my regular mechanic to see, but I decided to get it checked ASAP at Clarendon Tire. If it was a nail, maybe it could be patched. I called ahead of time in the morning, and the woman on the phone let me know to bring it by that day before 4, or else maybe it would be too busy. Sure enough, I show up at 3:45, it's getting busy, but they make an effort to take my car in immediately. The mechanic gets to work checking the tire, and the woman behind the desk lets me know a patch fix takes about 40 min and $60, reasonable to me. I go to the bathroom, and by the time I'm out, they flag me down and show me my wheel--no nail, but in fact a small crack near the edge on the inside of the wheel. I really appreciate that they worked so quickly and saved me from preemptively buying a new tire for a non-tire problem. They gave me good suggestions for nearby places that could fix the wheel if I didn't want to replace, and they didn't charge me for their service. I gave the mechanic a $40 tip for his quick and helpful work, and he offered to fill my tire air up before getting going. Overall, very positive experience, and I would have happily returned any time I had tire trouble. 5 star visit, so why the 2 stars overall? Didn't drive for a couple days after, but before I left for work, I went to check my tire pressure to see how much I should fill up to for the day. My tire pressure was more than 60psi. The tire mechanic filled my front left tire up to more than 60psi. Most consumer vehicle tires are rated for around 30psi. My tire pressure meter only goes up to 60, but it stayed at 60 for a while when I was letting air out of the tire. This is insanely high, and dangerous to drive on--my friends exclaimed they're surprised my tire didn't pop on my way home. I would hope that tire mechanics would know the right psi range to fill up a front tire. Instead, I think he filled it up as high as possible or kind of without looking, and it could have caused a really dangerous accident, and cost me a lot of money. The psi is clearly marked in the driver-side door, and I'll need for this place to read that number before filling up tires. Until then, I will not be taking my car here again out of precaution.
