    Two shots of tequila Ocho!

My husband and I absolutely love coming here--it's become one of our favorite spots to unwind and enjoy a great night out. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambience is always on point, whether we're stopping in for a casual drink or staying longer to enjoy the full experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food is consistently delicious, and the drinks are crafted perfectly every time. What really makes this place special, though, is the staff. The bartenders are amazing--Hannah, Eva, and Isa always go above and beyond, and over time they've truly become more like friends to us. They even make my ranch waters specially for me, which makes me feel so taken care of and honestly a little spoiled in the best way. Their energy, attention to detail, and genuine kindness make every visit feel personal and welcoming. We also have to give a huge shoutout to the manager, Bryan, who is incredible at what he does. He somehow always knows exactly what we want before we even ask, and his level of service is unmatched. If you're looking for a place with great vibes, amazing food and drinks, and a team that makes you feel right at home, this is it. We can't recommend it enough!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Came here with a friend. It's a great place to gather.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The DJ tent was cool and the giant everything out there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The music was interesting, just a bit chaotic.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The brisket was good but still on the fence about the chips instead of tortillas, but the meat was tasty. The mint cucumber strawberry something was really really fruity in the best way. The server was doing her best with so many tables. Would recommend to ppl looking for chill fun in the heights

Ambiance: Trendy & upbeat spot in The Heights with an expansive drink & food menu perfect for celebrating any and all occasions with friends or family. They have several Instagram-worthy backdrops, fun chairs/lounge areas, and music + games. Dog friendly as well! Limited onsite parking - valet and street parking also available. 21+. A bit on the pricey side but worth it for the ambiance and music. Does get crowded on the weekends. Lots of TVs & perfect for watching live sports. There is a pour your own beer wall, although we had a hard time figuring out how to work it. A must visit spot if you're looking for a fun ambiance on a weekend!

Great selection of drinks, beers, and food. The nachos are HUGE! The pictures do not do it any justice. Service is friendly and ambiance is typical of a trendy bar. Music is loud, outdoor seating is spacious, and they also have big booths for large groups. Great place!

Met up with some friends for mimosas and brunch at this spot. The food was as expected for a bar. We needed food with our drinks, and it was good enough. Service was pretty great! Our waitress was always easy to find when we needed something, and she even double checked our tacos for brisket vs pork after it looked questionable: What to get: mimosa tower

I met a friend at Moonshine Deck for dinner and drinks on my recent visit to Houston! I loved the fun atmosphere and instagrammable decorations. Not only do they have an outdoor with misters but they also have yard games to play which is fun for groups. While we were there, they had a live DJ which was fun but the music was way too loud. We kept moving tables to get further away in hopes of being able to hear one another. The bartenders and servers were nice and quick to take our order. While there, we ordered the following: - Beer (hard to go wrong) - Brisket Quesadillas: I can't say enough good things about these. They were incredible and I'd absolutely order them again! - Buffalo Blue Quesadillas: Pretty good but nothing out of this world. Still worth ordering again if you're a big Buffalo chicken fan Overall this was a fun place to meet with friends and I'd definitely go back for their Brisket Quesadillas!

This is my first time here and the place looks nice outside , plenty of seating , and cool decor. We were greeted and seated fast. We ordered the Brisket quesadillas and they were delicious along with the banana pudding. The steak I wasn't to thrilled about , I asked for medium and the steak came out well , so it was dry , and burnt on both sides.

We waited a LONG time for our waiter to show up. The drinks were good but I wish they would have wiped it before giving it to me it was quite a mess and my hands were sticky. We came during the St. Pattys day weekend weekend so it was a little vibe. I was surprised at how good the food was. The brisket fries were amazing. I would definitely order again, I'm looking forward to trying other menu items as well. The wings were OK. They were extremely wet, and you can tell that they weren't cooked with the garlic because the garlic pieces were hard and crunchyparking is extremely tight, you may have to pay for parking or park on the road.

Finally checked this out mid-November. Can't believe it took me so long to check this place out considering it's near my neck of the woods. Located on W 19th street with a murderer's row of other bars/drinking spots, I found this one as one of the better ones, especially for watching sports and grabbing brunch. So interior-wise, it's quite roomy with a good amount of space. One side of the place has bar tables and high top counters; the other side has U-shaped booths allowing comfortable seating for groups and parties. TVs are also lined up in front of the booths so if you're with a group, you can select which game/event you all want to watch. There's TVs alll around the bar as well so finding your sporting event is no issue here. Great for NFL Sunday. Also plenty of outdoor seating as well with heaters in case you Texans think it's "cold". Being from the east coast, I've never seen heaters turned on unless you could see your own breath in the wind. Guess it's different here. Enough of that, moving onto the drink options, beer and cocktails are the specialty here. Beer selection ranges from locals to domestics and they have beer towers. Cocktails are also unique, I had the infused smoked ol fashion which is one of the better ol' fashions I've imbibed in. Also did an espresso martini since I needed some caffeine with my alcohol, gave a nice perk-up after guzzling miller lites and bloody marys. Cocktails aren't cheap so be prepared to poney up the $$$ if you get one (or multiple). Brunch cocktails (mimosas and bellinis) can be part of the beer tower allowing the customer to pour however much they want. Kinda cool for brunch! As for brunch, I ordered the brisket benedict with a side of fruit. Not a bad entree, the brisket was flavorful with the egg yolk running down. However they presented it sandwich style. Wished they had both parts of the muffin open-faced like traditional benedicts but I had no idea. Still finished it. Other brunch dishes looked tasty including the sirloin hash, french toast, and chicken biscuits. I'll have to dabble in one of those next time. Had some friendly bartenders who are attentive and work as a team. Looks like a fun workplace as they are chatty and enjoy engaging with the patrons and regulars. Look forward to future visits especially since it's within walking distance from my residence.

My experience with Moonshine Deck has gotten significantly worse since when I visited when they first opened. On my most recent visit, I will acknowledge that the bar was packed, however I was left waiting to order a drink for so long that I ended up leaving empty handed. Many customers who arrived after me were served before I was even acknowledged. Cherry on top was while I was patiently waiting to order, the bartender openly poured vodka into a Redbull for himself and proceeded to shotgun it in the middle of the bar. Clientele is rude. Not only did several customers push past me to order but a man playing Jenga outside knocked over my full drink resting on a table and told me it wasn't his problem. Don't waste your time and money with this bar.

Came with my book club friends for brunch! Such a great atmosphere to hang with the girls! Our waitress was so sweet and kind! I ordered the Avocado Muffin and it was pretty mid... needed some seasoning. If you're into bland food it's definitely for you! My friend ordered the breakfast tacos and she loved them! The mimosa tower is always a hit and we define leave feelin better than we came!

Parking isn't a problem in the large complimentary lot they have. Ambiance (3/5): Pretty much your typical patio bar. There's a decent-sized indoor area, but most of the action is on the spacious patio. There's plenty of seating and TVs... which made for a good spot to watch the game. Especially since they had the sound on. Service (3.5/5): You order at the bar. No waiter service that I noticed. Typically there wasn't much of the line, but it was congested at one point throughout the night. Food (3/5): We split their Alabama white wings and crawfish fries. Pretty much your average bar food. Generous portions. Decent prices. The crawfish smelled a little funky though. Drinks (3/5): Since a sporting event was going on, I stuck to beer. They have a pretty decent selection of brews on tap, including quite a few Texas beers. Along with some standard ones and some European selections. They had a Modelo special where you got to keep a commemorative boot-shaped glass. Pretty cool! Overall, pretty much run-of-the-mill in my mind.

The food came out quickly, and everything was cooked just right. What made the visit extra special was meeting up with friends I used to come here with. Sitting together and reminiscing about all the events we've attended here over the years reminded me why this spot has always been such a favorite. The patio is absolutely fantastic--spacious, relaxed, and perfect for lingering conversations over coffee, mimosas, and yes even espresso martinis. Even though it's counter service, the experience never feels rushed. You order, grab a seat, and just enjoy the atmosphere. Cottonwood has that rare ability to feel both lively and laid-back at the same time. Great food, great patio, and even better memories. Definitely a go-to spot for a relaxed Houston brunch.
