Starts off horrible. How in the hell are you going to charge $10 to park at a restaurant/bar? I'm not talking valet, self parking is $10. Then we go inside and they have one waitress for the entire place. With all the other choices in the area there is no way I would go back. read more

Moonshine Deck is a great alternative to some of the crazier crowds on 20th street. It has ample room to accommadate large crowds AND enough bar space to not have any crazy wait times. The Atmosphere is pretty energetic and fun. There is a DJ most of the week and there are fun things like Singo, trivia, and such for those looking to go out on weekdays. Best ranchwaters on the street! They put the drink into topo chico bottles. The sad part is they pour out some topo to make room for the rest of the drink. I suggest asking the bar tender to poor that liquid gold into a seperate glass instead of wasting it. All I can say about the food is that it is ok. Pretty standard menu. We had the loaded fries and the brisket quesadillas. Would recommend splitting the quesadillas. read more

Cute place. Service was good. Mimosa tower was great. Ordered breakfast tacos with pulled pork. BBQ sauce was very overwhelming. After finishing one taco, i realized it didn't come with the scrambled eggs as advertised. Bit into the second, thought maybe they mixed it in there somewhere... nope. But now i had already gone through basically half the tacos and didn't want to be a tool and bring it up to the server. Now that i'm looking at pictures, i see what it was supposed to look like and it was definitely missing the eggs on top Just make sure you receive what you order and that your server knows what your food should look like. read more

I loved it here! Went in on a Friday around 1pm just to catch up with some friends. The vibes were great, cute photo ops for the girlies, will definitely be coming back. Cool vibes! Came here for Harry Potter trivia night and their 16oz $16 steak special. Harry Potter trivia took way too long haha but the food made our time there well worth it. Steak was kinda chewy but so dang flavorful! We also got the banana pudding and thoroughly enjoyed it! Service was great and we had a good time. Parking was kind of a hassle tho on a Tuesday night around 645pm read more

Absolutely love! Service is always great. Food is good, the brisket nachos are A-1! Jenna took the time to actually get to know my friends and me since we come often and has been the reason we continue to come back. Bar line is never that long of a wait, and best part, they don't come up with these random "dress code" rules like Austin's (I know from experience) and Heights Social (I've heard from multiple people). I also love how I see a diverse group of people when I come here, unlike some of the other bars. 10/10! Check it out. read more

Nice patio. Nice big bar. A couple self-serve taps???? Yeah. Slide your card and pour. Patio has mist sprays and fans. Outdoor TVs. Full bar. Food. (Bar food) Nice crowd. I found the signature cocktails a bit weak. Shots worked. Kind of a younger crowd but not like Bombshells young. I'll probably keep the place on my list for repeat. read more

I just had a really bad experience and i waited 20 minutes for getting menu and we tried to call waiter couple times but they really don't care just ruined our night at the end we left order nothing, I will never come back again, i hope this won't happen to other people read more

What a great spot for groups or to watch a sports game! It has a nice sports bar vibe with a variety of cocktails to choose from. I came here around opening time on a Sunday with a group of friends. It was pretty much empty at that point, but they were showing Wimbledon and we had a great time watching that (and the Astros game) on multiple screens. Our server was super attentive, checking on us and taking our orders regularly. Their bloody marys are so good! They have two kinds, but ask for the more popular option. I forgot the name of it, so just ask for the popular one haha. I also had their shrimp tacos and their pulled pork breakfast tacos and they were both delish. The shrimp tacos were on the lighter side, but if you're extra hungry the breakfast tacos will def fill you up. Parking situation: on-site read more

Bryan help us out and such a GOOD help. Moscow mules are great and service is 10/10. Love this place !!!

The Ambiance you guys have created is beautiful. The decor is very inviting to hangout with friends and screams STAY A WHILE !!! Hubby and I are fans of Moonshiners Southern Table and kitchen downtown so we thought we'd give their second baby a try. I ordered the moonshiners Mojito and brisket tacos and my husband ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich as they had a limited menu at the time.I told the waitress who's name I forgot (insert hand in face emoji) but I just know that she had curly wavy black hair about mid shoulder length very pretty girl and she was very accommodating. I wanted some thing on the full menu that was not able to be prepared so she explained about the training with kitchen staff and waitstaff and them being open only 3 weeks and for that I can definitely understand. Food: Alright guys everything looked beautiful in presentation but the Chicken needed more seasoning. Not Salt!!! SEASONING!!! Not Sauce!!! Seasoning in the meat of the chicken breast! I had to get that off my chest. Lol Brisket tacos were normal!!! They werent anything spectacular. I was looking for a little a slaw or something else with them not just diced lettuce and tomatoes and that delicious bbq sauce. Will I be back for the full Monty of course. But Hurry up Lol!!!! read more

I reached out to them on Instagram about how bad the bug situation is here. When I say bad, I mean bad. When we sat outside we were so covered in bugs that we had to go inside. When I told the server why we were moving she said "oh it's always like this I know it's gross." The food is poor. The service is bad. read more

Came here last night with some friends! Service was good, and we got all our drinks and food items really fast! They're just opening, so be patient with them! They'll be having a fuller menu later on and already have an extensive drink list! This is a bar that is self-serve for some drinks! You get a card and you scan it and pour for yourself! It's a really really cool concept, and I really like the fact that they also have a mule and sangria option for that as well. I chose drinks off the cocktails list, and they were great! I ordered the Arnold Palmer and a Red Bull+Tequila! This place is super nice for a chill night, and I would definitely come here again for a pregame or just with some friends. read more

Great place to hangs with indoor and outdoor seating. Neat outdoor swings and tvs all around so everyone has a decent view.

This place was really cool. I came in the day after the tropical storm passed and the weather was perfect. I only had one drink, the Paloma, and it was great! If you like fun, bright, and hip restaurants, this will be the one. Can't wait to come back and try some other menu and drink options read more

This place is so adorable but what's weird is the two girls working the outside patio keep ignoring me and my friends and not serving us :( hopefully management can work on them. If I could leave zero * I would. Went in for happy hour paid $6.50 for a drink, that's was all I had on my card at the time so I tipped $4 cash. Somehow got charged an additional $2 clearly for another tip. Unfortunately for me this extra $2 caused a NSF of charge of $34 with my financial institution. So them skimming an extra two off my tab cost me $36. Bad for business, contacted Moonshine via email, got a vm from Rachel to call her about my email. I give her the last 4 of my card #, & my total and explain to her how I tipped cash for the damn drink and was charged an extra $2 and blah blah blah.. she says "I'm going to do some investigating" I never hear back. Never going back, petty thieves read more

My car was towed from that place's parking lot even though I was there the whole night. After I finished drinking there at 1:20am I went to the bar next door to let a friend know we were leaving and by 1:30am my car was gone. I would have expected towings towing at start at 2 or 3 am but as soon as they closed three wrecking companies started hauling out about four cars in the parking. A wrecking guy said the manager or owner ordered so. Nice way to treat your customers - never coming back. read more

It was the first time coming here and I attended for a girl's night. I am giving it 4 stars because I loved the place, food and drinks but the service was terrible. I believe it was because they had just opened and the server we had was not an experienced server. We had a large party and we're having a good time drinking, but the server forgot to put in 2 orders and after waiting for hours and being told the kitchen was backed up, we finally received our food. The orders were late and some were wrong. It was so bad they had to replace our waitress with someone else because she could not handle a party our size (it was about 10 of us). Food (when it arrived) was good and the overall ambiance was great. read more

Great service. Plenty of tables. Good food. Lots of TVs so you can catch any televised event to want to see here. Parking lot and valet available. read more

Moonshine Deck is probably one of my favorite bars in town at the moment. My friends and I always start off elsewhere in the Heights and somehow always end up here at some point. This place is massive and can accommodate large groups. There is just so much room to spread out. We have never had a problem finding a table or a spot on their extensive patio. If you want to catch a game, there are plenty of TVs. If you want to play a few games, they have corn hole or giant jenga. If you want to listen to good music, they have a DJ on certain nights. Inside they have huge tables if you're about the table service life. The drinks are always good, the beer is always cold. They even have a self serve tap wall if you want to sample a few different things and not wait for a bartender on a busy night. They have food trucks outside, but they also have pretty good food on premises as well. Parking can be a little tight, but it is the Heights, it is expected. If you haven't checked it out, come on out! read more

Love this place to pieces! Love the games and outdoor fun activities to do! Boardgames and cornhole! They even have trivia night sometimes. Great drinks and atmosphere, came here with my friends and didn't want to leave! A great night in total! read more

Came here for trivia with a friend and had a great time. They have a huge open patio that was all decorated for Christmas but also has ample indoor seating. Dog friendly. Our waitress was lovely. Very attentive and fast! If you are like us, and looking for a new trivia spot since Beer Market closed this is pretty much the same experience! Probably a little more expensive, less beer selection, and a much further drive for us midtown folks, but overall the vibe and trivia were quite similar. The Trivia: great, efficient, easily visible on the many TV screens. I like that they had gift cards for top 5 rather than top 3. Always devastating to come in 4th and no gift card lol. The food: It's bar food, it's not bad. The brisket quesadilla was pretty tasty and my friend got the steak for steak night and said it was good. The drinks: I only had the ranch waters but for $6 on Wednesday nights it's a pretty good deal and they were quite tasty. read more

Not kid friendly during weekends. In case you don't know, now you do lol.. We were really looking forward to celebrating Mother's Day here, Unfortunately due to me not looking on the website our booked party of 20 was turned away because we had 2 minors with us. It was completely my fault as it is stated on their website that Weekends are 21 and up only. The place was completely empty with the exception of a couple sitting at the bar but I understand rules. I booked about a month in advanced and only saw that it was 21 and up after 7 pm but that doesn't apply to weekends. We scrambled to find a place that could accommodate such a big party on such a short notice and luckily we came across a sweet spot called Preslee's right down the street. They had awesome outside garden style sitting with swinging basket chairs, a long family style table with individual padded SWINGS as chairs, bar, Really cool Instagram style spots for pictures and some of the most southern hospitality style service you can find. Check them out if you are looking for a family friendly place! read more

Since Moonshine Deck opened, i have been a regular there, at least going twice a week. Never really cared for their food ( sub par ) , but always enjoyed the atmosphere and the workers. As of 04/26/23, I was informed I could not come in to the establishment because of my neck tattoos. So, obviously, I will not be going into this place again.
