Either they can come to my aid at a relatively short time for a ridiculous amount or come and a ridiculous amount of time for a relatively sane amount of fee. AutoFox Towing straddles in between, with an ETA of about an hour and a half form Pittsburg to Brentwood. They came much earlier at 45 minuities which was great. What's really even better was that me and the driver had a great time chit chatting as we drive towards my place. Food was in the discussion and we hit it off; talking about where are the great spots for good food the the Tri-Delta. He left the Pittsburg /Antioch area to assist me. He was quick, efficient and effective. I had expected to be on the side of the road waiting for an Uber as AAA would not allow me to ride in the tow truck. AutoFox is reasonable price, and very professionally and took me to my mechanic then drove me home. Both were a reasonable distance. I will definitely call them again when I need a tow. The shop diagnosed my car and quoted nearly $1,200 in repairs, demanded cash only, and refused to take a credit card for the diagnostic fee. That alone raises serious concerns about transparency and accountability. This wasn't my first bad experience with Millennium. Back in 2021, the same technician exposed wiring and suggested vague electrical issues that felt like a setup for unnecessary diagnostics. I recently discovered that Millennium Auto Care was formally accused by the California Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) in 2018 for violations including: Charging for parts not replaced Performing unauthorized repairs Failing to return replaced parts (Source: BAR Accusation Document) This is public record and speaks to a pattern of behavior that matches what I experienced. I've since taken my car to a AAA-approved shop that was transparent, professional, and backed by warranty. I'm sharing this to help others avoid being misled. The nice lady over the phone told me it would take them 45mins to come out after they finish another call they were on. 40 minutes later they are outside my house. 10 mins later I had the keys in my hand. I called around before I decided to go with Guardian Roadside. Eveyone was charging double their price and was going to take twice as long to come out to the vehicle. I'm not exaggerating! I highly suggest using this company if you are in a pinch and need some quality work done quickly. We need more roadside guys like these two. P.s. I was a mobile mechanic for awhile so we were in a very similar field. These guys are nice, easy going and determined to get the job done. Arrived as scheduled, quickly fixed the issue realized my tire had a small hole and was able to fix my original tire. How amazing, I didn't have to drive my family home on a spare tire. Chad told me, that JUST IN CASE there was a leak, he put some dye in the system! Went to go pay and I dont know how it came up, but the nice lady inside alluded to having some native artifacts.... After explaining my situation with what my vehicle was doing they seemed very happy to help me.
