I was already having a bad day due to having to get my car jumped two days straight going on the third and AAA being difficult with me not helping with an invoice or anything to provide proof of purchase because I guess THEY DON'T hold onto invoices when it's a different club that you purchased the AAA battery through, but in the end it all got worked out. On 8-11-2025 I contacted your service and spoke with an individual named Mike, who stated that his company was the only provider available with a dually truck for my situation. I explained the urgency of my request, as this is my family's only vehicle and my child has a medical condition that required immediate transportation. Despite confirming the service earlier in the day, Mike kept us waiting until approximately 9:30 a.m., only to cancel the service at the last minute. This caused significant hardship, stress, and inconvenience for my family. This conduct was unprofessional, unacceptable, and inconsistent with the standards expected from an AAA-affiliated provider. I strongly urge AAA to review this company's contract and performance history to prevent similar situations from occurring to other members. I requested a tow through AAA on November 11 after my kids' practice. My vehicle decided not to want to start up- starter related issues. I expected a long wait. Used them before, a few times, I referred them to everyone including my fleet of company trucks. Called today for a tow from Modesto to Manteca. Not to far right? I was told we don't have to truck to tow from Modesto and was hung up on. Good thing I was already parked in a safe location with my 2 year old. So frazzled and confused. Guess I'll be calling the tow truck that is willing to come from Tracy from another company who is 3 hours out and over $300.00. It would be worth it rather than being rudely hung up on. We had to wait a long time but that was the fault of a certain auto club who apparently only had two drivers on call during a holiday weekend in which their own study had just said that MORE PEOPLE WOULD BE TRAVELING AWAY FROM HOME THAN IN ANY RECENT HOLIDAY WEEKEND. Horrible experience!! Got in to a wreck on Christmas because so lady came flying through a red light. Driver was rude acted like it was my fault and we made him work. Then he had the Audacity to make my 14 year old son whom was just in the wreck with me get in the driver seat of my lifted truck to help him load it on the tow truck on the side of the 99 S on ramp. Then processed to tell him to get out of his way he didn't have all day. Rude. He also told me that it was better to go to his yard and I would just have to pay the storage fee because I could use my 5 mile AAA. When I got to tow yard the next day guy in the office was rude also and said you can't do anything til you pay $416.00. I don't recommend this company at all. If I could give negative stars I would but could not post without hitting 1 star. read more

On May 12th, 2023 we had a flat tire on Hwy 99 approx. 5 mi S. of Manteca. Crossroads towing was dispatched & loaded our 2021 Nissan Leaf onto the flatbed of the tow truck. When we exited the Hwy & was making a slow left turn to tire repair shop, another car sideswiped the tow truck and didn't stop. The tow truck pulled into the next driveway & noted the tie downs had became undone and our vehicle had slid into his front grill/bar causing our car damage to the front bumper, license plate & grille. When we called Crossroads, they refused to take any responsibility & would not even give us their insurance information. They claimed our damage would not have occurred if not for the hit & run vehicle. Other tow truckers we spoke with said the tie downs should NOT have failed on such a slow, low impact collision. I have been handling Personal Injury cases for over twenty years and even as former sworn Police Officer in the City of San Jose, have never seen this type of incompetence by a front office staff in my career. As a direct result of said "incompetence", my vehicle was left stranded. (BMW 330i) The fact that even my insurance company (Farmers Insurance), will no longer utilize the services of Crossroads Towing is a testament to Crossroads inability to do their job. The only positive mention I can make, was that the driver originally sent was real nice guy. Please note, anyone that posts a five star rating to this company clearly must be related to the owner. Had St@#e jump dead battery and then proceeded to pour bottled water over belt and electrical panel! Car shut off, he jumped again and then stereo and a/c stopped working immediately!! Fuses are good except the electrical wires for those two are burnt out due to the water. Contacted Crossroads and manager said the rep was fired. They will not take responsibility. Filed complaint with the BBB, Sacramento Transportation, who will conduct investigation, Manteca Chamber of Commerce and posting on all social media sites. Beware of this business!!!! read more

This is our an experience we never had before. We drove from San Jose to Calaveras county stopped by a Manteca CA gas station. We started to drive our car but it stopped near hwy 99 at 11:50pm. We called AAA and after 45 minutes Crossroad towing arrived with tow company employees Steve and Andrew. They were so friendly, and we had a great Conversation with them. Also, they drove us to a hotel. If they didn't take us to the hotel, we might of had to stay in the street. We both really appreciate them. I have the extended tow service, which I learned Monday is totally useless. The AAA affiliate in the Lathrop area is Crossroads Towing out of Manteca. This past Sunday, 6/20/21 my son was driving from his house in Hayward to my house in Lodi. In the city of Lathrop his truck overheated. I drove the 25 minutes from my house to where he had broken down. My son, who also has the extended towing plan, called AAA and requested a tow back to Hayward. He was told that someone would have to be there to receive the truck. We decided to leave the truck it in the Chevron parking lot and come back for it later that day. I then drove him and my 10 year old granddaughter to Lodi to celebrate Father's Day at my house. At around 7:00 PM that evening we arrived back in Lathrop with the intention of having his truck towed to Hayward. He called AAA and was told that there were no tow trucks available and that a call had gone out to local drivers. Apparently no one wanted to drive the 56 miles to Hayward on Sunday. After a few more calls to Crossroads Towing and realizing we were not going to get any help I drove them to Hayward and arrived back at my home at 11:15 PM. I told my son that I would contact AAA Monday morning and have the truck towed to Hayward. Monday is when I learned Crossroads has no intention of towing anything to Hayward. I phoned AAA at 10:00 AM to request a tow to Hayward. They could not find anyone to tow the truck to Hayward. By around 11:30 or so I realized I was not going to get a tow out of the area. In an effort to have the truck towed to a local repair shop I phoned AAA again and the woman from AAA found a repair shop in Manteca (Precision Automotive)that she said was AAA approved and a tow company (Crossroads)that would tow the truck to Precision Automotive within an hour. I called my son and told him the latest news he decided to phone Precision and found out that they were at lunch from 12 to 1 So no one answered the phone. At approximately 1 PM Crossroads Towing showed up at my location and loaded the truck onto the flatbed. Around 1:10 PM I received a call from my son letting me know that Precision is not a AAA approved. He told me that the lady(Rocky) at Precision Automotive that answer the phone had no idea our truck was going to be towed there. She told my son that they do not have any room to put the truck there nor do they have the time today to even work on the truck. I then phoned Precision Automotive and spoke with Rocky who also spoke with two other employees. No one admitted to getting a call from AAA or Crossraods about having my son's truck worked on. With no local repair shop available to bring the truck to I asked the driver if he would drive the truck to Hayward? He said he would have to contact his dispatch. The driver contacted his dispatch and was told no he cannot drive the truck to Hayward. I then had him unload my son's truck back into the parking lot. Realizing that we were not goI got to get any help from AAA or from Crossroads with help from a friend of my son's he located a tow truck in Hayward that would come out to pick up the truck for $400.00. The driver arrived about 4:45 loaded the truck on his flatbed and drove it back to Hayward. I am sure Crossroads Towing has signed a contract with AAA insurance agreeing to fulfill the contract's requirements to tow AAA's customers vehicles anywhere within the plan limits. Needless to say I am extremely disappointed in AAA and Crossroads Towing. The tow driver for Crossraods was very polite, courteous and empathetic. Based on yelp reviews I know we are not the only customer that Crossroads Towing has done this to. AAA owes it to their customers to find a tow company that is willing to fulfill their contract obligations. read more
