ALIYAH IS AWESOME!!! Give that girl a promotion. Food is always good and they are super fast.

Very delicious, very affordable, good quality. The bun is soft, the beef is crispy, the fried onions make it even crispier and tastier. The only thing it's missing is pickles and tomatoes for me (forgot to ask)! Def one of my favorite burgers I tried the shakes, which were super thick and not too rich. However, they sorta taste like protein shakes.

I loved the original Moonburger in Kingston and was going to go out of my way to grab some on our weekend trip but found out they opened a few more locations. The one in Poughkeepsie was on our way home so we stopped at this one. It is inside a gas station and since we don't like to eat in the car, we went to dine in. As it was inside a gas station, there wasn't much seating but there is 4 seats at bar-like ledge and seating by the "spaceship window" which plays a video and was super cute. We ordered two big combos with impossible burgers on their machine (one with regular fries and apple juice and one with hot fries and lemonade and without griddle onions). Order came out just as ordered. Worker explained that the apple juice was technically a kids box but gave us 3 because we ordered the big combo and were obviously not kids so one juice box wouldn't have been enough. Everyone was super nice here. The worker actually came by and explained that he didn't think the fries were up to par and gave us another set that was definitely better. I mainly come because I love their hot fries and they definitely didn't disappoint. Highly recommend and will definitely come back.

We were driving by and my husband pointed out the bright red sign. I was ecstatic because he knows how much I love Moonburger. He also knows that I usually only indulge on the occasional trip to Kingston, where I first fell in love with this business. I went through the drive thru because I had a very sleepy baby in the back and ordered WAY too much food. I love how delicious Moonburgers are especially since they're impossible patties! They also offer gluten free buns, which means that I can indulge in a true burger experience. They have tasty hot fries that you can pair with their yummy cheese sauce and to me, it's the perfect meal. The drive thru is painted in a very colorful mural but I was so intrigued by it, I forgot to snap a pic. You never see bright art like this at a gas station (which is where Moonburger is located). Next time I'll have to go inside because I'd love to see what it looks like. The staff was also super friendly and the food was ready very quickly. I did try to order ahead but they weren't accepting orders at the time. Maybe next time!

Vegan burger drive through place! And it's so good. We ordered a cheese burger which came with a patty that was super juicy. Usually vegan/vegetarian burgers are dry but this did not disappoint at all. The buns were soft too. And we ordered a side of spicy fries and they were yummy. The service was pretty quick.

Moon Burger is located to the very far right corner of the building.

The drive-through entrance is to the right of the mobile station. The sign is really not that large and very easy to miss. One has to know that Moon burger has a location there. I was not familiar with Moonburger and I'm not sure if it's a Regional or NATIONAL chain but I decided to give it a try. MENU: the menu is very small, which is probably a good thing in many ways. There are four or five different types of burgers, most with onions so my request was a special one. Essentially, you can get a single or double burger with cheese, pickles, onions, and crispy, onions, lettuce, and special sauce. Given my allergy, I had to opt out of the onions and special sauce. I opted in for regular fries, but there was an option for seasoned fries. The beef itself was an odd texture. I'm not sure if it was made from fresh ground beef or not. It was really difficult to tell. For example, at five guys, you get the feeling of a fresh burger and super fresh fries. Dollar for dollar, five runs laps around Moon Burger. Small or large version which included a beverage. SERVICE: the service was pleasant and patient, but this is not fast food. You will wait for your order. VALUE: at nearly $14, next time I'll drive through Wendy's. I am sure if you like fried onions and some of the other fixings, it may be worthwhile to you, but I just wasn't that impressed.

As a vegetarian I'm always on the hunt for the best of the best in vegetarian cuisine. I'm officially in love with the Plant Palate and their F I R E empanadas. Handmade, baked to order, these empanadas are a feel good meal. Make sure to try their rice and beans side. They have a little kick too! So I ordered the ground beef copycat signature empanadas which can easily fool ya. I honestly had to do a double take because just from the look it felt like this was real ground beef. The sriracha mayo gave it the perfect kick too! To put this empanada to the test, we told our meat eating sister that this was a ground beef empanada and ours was the vegetarian one. She ate it convinced that it was meat. A few hours later we finally told her she had the same one we did. She couldn't believe it and it really had her fooled. So 100% compliments to the chef! They also sell sweet (nutella) empanadas (I'll def be trying this one next time). Bottom line: vegan, vegetarian or meat eater, you NEED to try the plant palate. It will leave your palate having a party with the extra spicy kick and the bomb flavors. Thanks to the Plant Palate for making amazing food like this. Can't wait to try some more!

I'll be honest, I was disappointed by my experience here. I absolutely love Mexican food and, being…read morenew to the area, was excited to see this business with an immaculate reputation on Yelp. I did come at an in-between time (around 3pm), so it's possible that this was a one-off, but it was so meh that I'm not sure I'll be back to give it another shot (if I do, I'll come right at lunch or dinner time). The good: the mole was fantastic! Even with a mediocre meal, this stood out as amazing. The portions were generous. I thought at one point the woman asked if I wanted chicken or beef enchiladas, and having never had beef enchiladas I said "beef please." It turns out, I received chicken enchiladas with a portion of skirt steak on top (see photo). Again, very generous. The decor was lively. The misses: The beans were quite bland, to the point where I was surprised...it's such a foundational element of Mexican cuisine, but they needed more spices / a touch more salt. Also, my wife ordered the veggie wrap and it was bland. It contained lots of different vegetables, but somehow they weren't seasoned. I know vegetarian burritos aren't all the craze, but when I took a bite of it, I agreed...it was just vegetables, no seasoning at all. Nice to have it on the menu for folks like my wife, but why not season them first? Maybe it was an oversight. The horchata was different from what I've had in the past...not bad, but not something I would recommend either. It was watery, lacked any cinnamon flavor, and had ground almond on top, which was interesting (maybe this is regional?). Without the dynamite mole and the generous portions, this would be a 2 star review, but I can't, in good conscience, give less than 3 stars with mole like that. But the beans...womp womp.

The menu is extensive with some Mexican plates you rarely see at most Mexican restaurants. The totopos are really crisp. Worth it? Mostly, yes! Food: 4/5 We tried a little bit of everything, the Seared chicken breast - Hands down my favorite dish of the night. Perfectly cooked, well-seasoned, and flavorful. Followed by the Bacon, egg, and homemade biscuit - A close second! The biscuit was dense and satisfying, and it had a really unique pesto-like sauce on top that made it memorable. Some other shout outs: 1) Orecchiette veggie pasta - Orecchiette is hard to find on menus, so I was delighted to see it here. It was a nice light option among our heavier dishes. 2) Jerk ribs - OK, so this is where my expectations and reality didn't fully align. They were well-cooked, but I'm a saucy girl, and these weren't as slathered or juicy as I'd hoped. That said, the rest of my table really enjoyed them. Also, that hibiscus lemonade? Chef's kiss. Refreshing and flavorful, and exactly the kind of detail that makes a place stand out to me. Service: 4/5 Now, here's where I was really surprised: one person was running the whole show. The head chef was managing the kitchen and the front of house--no servers, no extra help. Just him. For the amount of work that entails, he crushed it. Was it a bit slower than a staffed restaurant? Of course. But honestly, it gave the whole experience a humble, homegrown vibe that I appreciated. Also, it meant a lot to support a Black-owned restaurant and actually connect with the person behind the food. Final Thoughts: While we came for dinner, I could tell from the menu (and the vibe) that this place is really known for brunch. I'm genuinely curious to come back during brunch hours to see how the energy--and menu--might shift. Either way, it's definitely worth a visit if you're in the area and looking for a spot with heart, flavor, and soul.

We visited on the Friday before V-day, the house was packed around 18:30. The wait was 45 mins which wasn't too bad for a Friday night. We decided to wait in the lobby after trying to find a cozy waiting spot near the bar and missing. My wife attempted to order me a mocktail, but of course the bar was crazy busy. When the bartender finally acknowledged her, the mocktail requests obviously threw the bartender for a loop because I ended up with watered down ginger beer and a sprig of mint. My advice for anyone looking for a virgin drink at this bar would be to order a club soda with lime and call it a night. We were seated at the 45 min mark, and were escorted to the packed bar, where they have some exterior tables for diners. My seat was in the middle of the couch split, which I found mighty uncomfortable so we opted to request a seat in the main dining room, which the staff happily obliged. With dinner we ordered hot tea and were given lukewarm water and a choice of Stash teas. Our beverage experience here was very disappointing. The calamari arrived and may have been the only highlight, although we didn't find it to have that fresh calamari texture. My wife ordered a ravioli with mushroom, and felt the pasta and veggies were just swimming in butter. I ordered my steak medium and it was okay, but the juices from the greens made the croquettes soggy, and unenjoyable. The server did his best, and all the staff here are so kind. Coulda been an off night but I doubt we'll be back anytime soon. The Mocktail Madam.
