You order at the counter and then either pick your food up or they bring it to you. There is a soda machine and I think a few alcoholic options to choose from. The menu consists of burgers, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, and fries. They have really good milkshakes, but no other dessert to choose from. Passing through Rhinebeck, and I typically try to try things that I can't get anywhere else. I saw the dirty bird and I was excited to try. To be honest, it was okay. The potential was there with the ingredients, the execution of the flavor was disappointing. The whole sandwich lacked seasoning and the slaw almost mimicked the consistency of apple sauce. No acidity or crunch to cut the richness of the cheese. from the I will say you can't go wrong with fresh cut fries and they didn't disappoint! It's really a great place to grab a high quality burger in a nice, hip atmosphere without having a waitress breathing down your neck. While I was there, I started to understand their portion sizing and business model a little better. Their burgers are not huge; however, their prices are ala carte and fair. You can opt to get a double-patty, and then it'll be a larger burger for a little more money. Mine was the Lamb Eater, and I enjoyed a better quality and richer tasting meat. Went there on Tuesday and got a veggie stacker. My friend said she liked it so I thought I'd give it a try. The avocado bean spread has Mayo so not suitable for vegans, so I had to pay an extra $3 to add plain avocado. I definitely expected the sweet potatoes and mushrooms to be made into a patty, but it's literally "stacked veggies." Very cold, unseasoned, bad tasting cold veggies. The mushrooms and sweet potatoes were both bad, and the rest of the burger was bad too. Their fries are really good, and not worth it for almost $20. The guy who took my order and seemed to be being trained kept touching his face, cleaning his glasses on his shirt, and wiping his nose into his shirt sleeve. We tried a small amount of each flavor and the black Cherry was my favorite. The burger was just ok for me. As a place advertised as a 'hidden gem burger joint' I guess I was expecting them to be a little better. The fries were pretty good as well. The chicken nuggets though were so disgusting. They were like dark gristly meat. I definitely don't recommend those. Overall the experience was fine. The person who took our order/brought us our food was nice. I like the burgers but there have been things.....like screaming children( do any places respond to that?), or the counter person going to the person who just walked in when your food is sitting ready to be delivered and there are only two customers waiting, and last time after I ate I went to buy a soda, asked after a particular Boylan's flavor as they aren't listed on the chalkboard, and I was told by the woman there, to go and look at the soda machine for the flavors!
